From Grave to Grace

Hello LST Gals!  Happy Tuesday!

I wasn’t going to write today, but I saw this video from Proverbs 31 OBS Team Member, Stacy Lowe, and I JUST HAD to share it with you! It’s short, sweet and to the point, but best of all it’s going to BLESS YOUR SOCKS OFF!  (Do people say that all around the world, or just around here?)

Check out this video from Stacy and then let’s talk about what this means for us!

    • Sherry Leilani Allinger says:

Hi Susan I was just saying a similar thing in my small group. I noticed how Jesus used the ‘ordinary’ a text message to talk to Stacy. Then how Stacy shared with all of us. Have a great day Susan. Blessings Sherry

  10. Jennifer says:

I absolutely LOVE the visual! I too highlighted all over that paragraph. I love the part where it says it makes no sense in the world’s economy. Many things of God don’t make sense in our world today. Often it’s a way to help me know if something is from God or not. Thank you for sharing!!

    • Beth Wright - Proverbs 31 Ministries OBS Team says:

Jennifer- love that! You are so right- many things of God don’t make sense. Aren’t you glad we don’t understand it all because it would just be so much more than we can handle!!

    • Sherry Leilani Allinger says:

Hi Jennifer, I read your post. Isn’t it cool to go back to your Bible and previous studies and look over the notes and review the things that you previously learned? Blessings Sherry

  11. Sabrina Ebert says:

I have been singing amazing grace…oh how sweet the sound….

Christ conquered the grave…by grace…awesomeness doesn’t get better than this.

So much introspection in this study and I absolutely love it. It’s amazing the amount of bible verses spring to the fore when responding to the study questions.

I have been letting the Word saturate my being…it feels good to wash my spiritual man. Feeling blessed.

Praying that you are all enjoying this as much as I am.

    • Brenda Greathouse says:

Yes, Sabrina! Saturation and being washed is a great way to express the way the Word can absolutely bless us! Have a blessed day!

    • Sherry Leilani Allinger says:

Hi Sabrina, Just read your post. That is so cool how you’ve been singing Amazing Grace. I like that song too. Blessings Sherry

    • Sherry Leilani Allinger says:

Hi Shirley and Beth, I was also reflecting on the fact that this study was happening right around Easter time. 🙂 Blessings Sherry

  25. vanessa stephens says:

Stacy I love how God spoke to you through this analogy!!! What spoke to me the most is how you said the thief on the cross was forgiven even without his behavior being considered. Sometimes I get so concerned about people not reading their bibles and being led by God. It’s the most amazing thing in the world that He just reaches down and saves us before we even know how to read the bible…. WOW!! God used your video to show me so much of His grace and love!!!

  26. I LOOOOVE that! Thank you Stacy!!

  27. I think this is a wonderful message. That we have to earn nothing to be recipients of God’s grace. It is a free gift, GIVEN to us…all we have to do is accept it. It can’t be taken away. How lucky are we?!

  28. Thank you Stacy for sharing. Awesome revelation! I love it when the Holy Spirit is teaching us and we hear it loud and clear. That paragraph spoke to me as well. No matter where we are in life, He covers us with His loving Grace. Grave to Grace, love it!!!!

  29. I love how our God teaches! I often question if I am serving Him enough….then I stumbled on your video this morning and it is as If He Himself was reassuring me that by recieving Him and His grace…if that’s all I ever did it would be enough. Thank You so much for sharing.

  30. WOW!! That brought tears to my eyes. Powerful – thank you for sharing that. I just love the illustration – brings it out so clear and spot on and it was like an “A-ha” moment. I remember reading that section and I even underlined (highlighted it in my Kindle) and now – later today – I am going to write that down as a reminder.

Thank you for a powerful message to start the day with! XOXO ~ Marcia.

  31. Melissa says:

Wow! What an amazing visual. I got what you were orally conveying but the image made it so real. Spoke to my heart, very powerful. Thank you for sharing.

  32. Misty B. says:

Thank you for sharing with us Stacy. 🙂 We have so much to learn from what others share that the Lord has showed them from our reading and studying. Share on as the Lord leads you friends. 🙂

  33. I love when people share God speaking moments! Thanks for sharing Stacy! God revealed a bit of His heart with you and how exciting it is when He talks to us! Faith builder!

  34. Melissa says:

Oh my goodness!!!! I needed that soooooo stinkin’ much – thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!
I just joined this Bible study today (my lady’s group – which I’m leading – is still working to finish up the last one, haha!) – I wasn’t even going to click on the website this morning as I have so much to get done. Amazing how God reminds us that His grace is enough – even when I’m BURIED under all of the pressures and the stuff going on in life…I know I’m failing without Him to COVER me!

  35. Love it!

  36. Tonya W says:

I’m always amazed at how God knows exactly what I need. I am so thankful I am covered by His grace and that He brought me from the grave to grace! I love the reminder about the thief and that Jesus told him that he was forgiven and the thief didn’t do anything but believe!!!!! Oh how I need to just focus on His grace and quit trying so hard to be and do. Thank you for sharing this morning Melissa!!!!

  37. Wow! I love the image of Christ covering me!! Thanks so much for sharing!

  38. MaryWynn says:

Isn’t it amazing how Christ speaks to us? Wonderful illustration! To realize and accept that I have God’s grace …not because of anything I have or will do, but because he sent his son, Christ, so that I may have everything. Thanks for sharing!!

  39. POWERFUL- Love the analogy !!

  40. Love this analogy…to think, for little “me”…Jesus covers me with his grace and I didn’t have to do anything for this amazing gift!! Thank you for sharing this…love all you Proverbs sister’s in Christ, my day is blessed already….

  41. Debbi Bailey says:

yes, Cheryl!!!! He has covered all of our past with his blood!!

  46. Letitia says:

Thanks so much for sharing that! It’s an awesome reminder of what Christ did for us. When I feel low and unworthy, I’ll think if this analogy!

  47. Wow that is so amazing! God sneaks his voice in some of the most odd ways yet the most powerful ways 🙂 reminds me of the song “Lord I lift You name on high”…

  48. Lisa-marie collins says:

I think it is so amazing how God uses others to speak to us. Sometimes we may be at a low In our lives and he speaks to us to let us know that he is there with us. Even when we feel there is nothing left. I was up most of the night thinking about how I wish certain people had never come Into my life. I was thinking about how tired I am of being used by them.
That is not what God does though. In away we use him and he still lives us unconditionally. This is what he expects us to do even days we don’t feel like it.

  49. Entrice Rowe says:

Thank you for sharing Stacy. I’m so glad we are covered by God’s grace and that he meets us right where we are!

  54. I love the imagine of going from grave to grace. WOW!! that is really powerful. Thanks so much for sharing. I can’t wait to read the section for today. Blessings to all my OBS sisters!

  55. It is truly awesome and amazing how God works and how He uses are “mistakes” (i.e. a typo) to give us revelation and truth.

  56. I love the visual Stacy used with the “C” standing for Christ covering the “v” for grave! That is awesome. I want to dwell on that today…thanks for sharing. Starting my study now. Blessings ya’all!!
    Teresa

    • Beth Wright - Proverbs 31 Ministries OBS Team says:

I’ve been picturing that visual in my mind all day! What a blessing!

  57. Stephanie says:

From the grave to grace image is so important to remember but it is also an amazing reminder that we didn’t always EARN that grace… It’s Gods gift to us. I needed this bc it reminds me that the way we deal w others should be the same way… We shouldn’t force people to earn grace and forgiveness from us, it is something through Christ that we are called to do. We must willingly give that grace just as Christ freely gave it to us… Amazing

    • Felicia says:

Yep! This is how we are to treat others, TOUGH sometimes! Only done with and through HIS love!

      • Beth Wright - Proverbs 31 Ministries OBS Team says:

yes, yes, yes! thank you Stephanie and Felicia for this reminder!

    • Stephanie, thank you for the reminder that we should not make others earn what we have se freely been given… God loved and forgave us SO THAT we could love and forgive others….

  59. Vicki Gordon says:

Love the visual that Christ is our covering and he has surrounded us with his grace! Thank you Jesus!

  60. Kelly Butler says:

I think it’s amazing! To get a gift these days and the giver not expect anything in exchange is not common. But that’s what God is…He is uncommon. He is like noone or nothing else. He gives grace to me unconditionally, no matter what. Through every mess in my life, every shortcoming I feel I’ll never shake, He gives me grace…freely!

  61. Jennifer Gearheart says:

WOW! Love this and thank you for the visual! It is so wonderful to know Jesus surrounds me with His grace and love. I will be thinking of this all the time!

  62. tanya edwards says:

I think that is an amazing picture of what Christ has done. I know that is what he has done for me. I want to be able to do that in my relationship with others.

  63. nancys1128 says:

Thanks for making the video, Stacy. It’s such a great illustration of the concept of grace. Visuals always go a long way with me, and this one is no exception. May I share it further than here? I will definitely give credit for where I got it. I think it’s perfect to share with the group of middle school girls I and another mom are mentoring. Thanks for following the Spirit’s lead and sharing it.

  64. Thanks for the visual Stacy, loved it!! It’s so easy, at least for me sometimes, to get caught up in the “do”. Appreciate the reminder that it has already been “done”. Loving the study.

  65. Janet F (Proverbs 31 Ministries OBS Team) says:

Love, Love, Love the video!!!! Thanks for sharing ♥

  66. Felicia says:

God is SO good! Not only did He take us from the “grave to grace”, but He gives us pictures of what that means! What an awesome God we serve! I must say that this particular paragraph struck me yesterday as I was reading it too! God’s requirement from us, for salvation, is nothing but faith in Him! Anything thing else should come out of love for Him NOT duty! God, help me live like this!

  67. Awesome illustration of GOD’S AMAZING GRACE! Thank you so much for sharing!

  68. Kimberly McMillian says:

    Wow! Now that was awesome!

  69. Lynn Fincher says:

Thanks Stacy awesome message to see for me this morning..very powerful and a reminder that we do not have to do anything to receive this Gift of God’s Grace. What a blessing to start my day off. Blessings to you Stacy…:)

  70. Thank you for that insight. It is awesome to think about the AMAZING grace of God.

  71. Love this! Grave to Grace!! Totally reminded me of Psalm 139:5! “You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.”

  72. Dolores says:

WOW that is powerful!!!!!!! That is why He says in 2Cor 12:9
My Grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.
When We are weak it makes us feel like we are in the Grave and His Grace pick us up.

The second part says: Therefore I will boast all the more gladly for my weaknesses, so that the power
of Christ may rest upon me…
I will Boast while in the Grave, for God’s Grace will rest upon me…..

  73. Mary Lou says:

What a great way to explain Grace! This will always be an easy way to remember! Thanks!

  74. CindyS. says:

Thanks for sharing your awesome moment with us! Love it and gave me chills too!

  75. Lynn Layton says:

Love, love love it – what a wonderful word picture. Thanks for sharing!

  76. Penny Estabrook says:

That was so amazing!! Wonderful illustration that will be forever in my heart. What a way to explain to others about grace that we no longer are dead but alive in Christ, that He has covered us, forgiven our sins and taken us from grave to grace. Amen!!!

  77. Wow, I love that! That paragraph hit me too but that illustration brings it home. Thanks for sharing.

  78. Oh Stacey! Girl, I love your heart & I love you. What a great way to start the day! Thank you for sharing!

  79. Rebecca in FL says:

The word picture is going on a memory card as we speak! My kiddos will love this too. Thanks for sharing and not keeping it to yourself. Consider me sockless ;-).

  80. Suzanne says:

Love this From Grave to Grace says it all, how amazing is our Jesus? How amazing that God spoke to you and gave you this message in such a way that anyone can understand it.

  81. When I was reading this passage it stick out to me too, but I love the analogy that “he covers us”. To me the thief who was forgiven moments before his death shows me just how awesome our God is, that he can grant this man grace knowing he will never serve him on earth. What a blessing to know that Grace is a free gift to us.

  82. Linda Krueger says:

Thank you Stacy! What an amazing graphic to have in my mind! Never thought of a ‘v’ as pointing down but it sure does! And the all encompassing ‘c’ – will never look at these two letters the same! I wonder how many other words/places/situations that the ‘c’ can impact!? Thanks for sharing!

  83. Teresa White says:

I read this last night. I love your perspective, you nailed it! This is what makes the study so valuable…..a perspective other than my own that makes the words on the pagee come to life! Thank you!!

  84. Melanie Greenlee says:

Thank you for this. I love it! What a great way to start my day.

Wow! I had never thought of it that way! Thank you for sharing with us Stacy! That was a great reminder of what Jesus did for us!

  90. That is an awesome thought-Grave to Grace- and how appropriate during the Lenten season..

    • Andrea A. says:

I was just thinking that! When I think of Jesus and the grave I always think of Lent and Easter. He rose from the grave to save us from sin. Amazing Grace.

  91. Suzie Storey says:

Now, I have that stinking word Grave in my head, but the covering of Grace is with it!!

What a great message! Loved the visual of the C covering the V! Thanks be to God for using all things to His glory!

  94. She is so stinkin’ cute!!!! OH MY WORD!!!! This blessed my socks off!!!!!!!!

  95. I really loved this! Thank you Stacy for wanting to share your discovery through a typo with us. That visual on your whiteboard will stay in my heart! Thanks again, we are so blessed by these bible studies, I love them.

  97. Loreen Moore says:

What an awesome illustration! Thanks for sharing!

  98. Andrea A. says:

Gave to Grace. It is pretty amazing. That is such a comforting message. Because I will never be perfect. So the pressure to be perfect or do certain things earn my salvation and all the negative things that go with that kind of pressure…Gone! I have the free gift of God’s grace. Every day, every minute of every hour. That’s a pretty awesome thing.

  99. Jeanie Kelley says:

WOW what a beautiful picture of God and his grace. Love the concept of grave to grace. I am trying to work on an acronym for both words so this will be a good challenge for me today.Again thanks for sharing. Blessings for a wonderful day.

  100. I had never looked at it this way either and WOW did I get it with this illustration! Thank you.

  101. Lisa McDonald ~ Proverbs 31 Ministries OBS Team says:

That is so beautiful and wow, so true! Thank you for that beautiful reminder today 🙂

  102. Kristen Gielow says:

Great visual. I too, thought that portion of the study was amazing. How often do we stop and wonder if we have done enough, today, to earn God’s love. I know I do. Now I realize that we will never be enough. Jesus came so that we could be enough. And now we get to be in relationship with Him because of Christ. Thank God.

  103. Great illustration. Grave to grace-what a wonderful gift we have all received without having to do anything! Praise God!

  104. Sarah B says:

What a blessing! Thanks for sharing, Stacy.

  105. Elsie Daly says:

From the graVe to graCe! I love it!! When she said that the man on the cross next to Jesus would never bring people to Christ, or do Kingdom work, or other things we, as Christians do, and Jesus still forgave and accepted him into His kingdom and gave him the gift of grace. It’s just amazing. I understand now why the song is called “Amazing Grace”. There are times when I don’t feel worthy, but this shows me I AM! Thank you! :)Amen

  106. Awesome message! What a great way to put that into a visual for those that have to “see” things to better understand them..Thank you!

  107. Love the message and imagery. Thank you for sharing -wonderful beginning to a new day!

  108. I love today’s message so much. Oftentimes I think we forget that Jesus came so that we can be made new in Christ and let our sins become a thing of the past. The grave to graCe analogy is wonderful and I know it will stick with me forever!

  109. That was so brilliantly awesome. I had to share it on my FB page. I will now see a new meaning to Grace!!!

  110. Bonnie Johnson says:

Great visual to display God’s grace!

  111. Samantha says:

I thought that was awesome! Just knowing that God’s grace covers us. Once we have accepted Jesus in our lives we are cover with God’s grace. Amen!

  112. Mary Eidson Rose says:

Awesome picture of what God has done for us! Love it!

  113. Awesome message! That gave me chills this morning. I love the visual too of the C (Christ) covering the v. Thanks for sharing!!

  114. Wow, what an amazing illustration of God’s grace. I have never ever thought about what she said regarding the man that died next to Jesus. He would never do anything in this life to share Christ with others yet by God’s Grace he was saved. “God took us from the grave to grace…he is covering us”. Wow what an awesome concept to ponder on. I am so unworthy yet by God’s grace I have been redeemed by the blood of the lamb. Praise God and thank you God!

  115. Thank you, Stacy, for this wonderful, thought-provoking image. It makes we wonder — is grace given to ALL, or only to those who believe in Christ?

    • Let me just preface my coments by saying that I am in no way a theologian so this is just my own personal take on this. Grace is a free gift but just like any gift, we have the option to accept it or reject it. We accept it by acknowledging that Jesus is the Son of God and choosing to follow Him. The thief on the cross recognized that Jesus had done nothing wrong and didn’t deserve to be there. In that moment, He acknowledged that Jesus was the Messiah and that was enough for Jesus to give him His grace. Just my own take on it 🙂

  116. Chrysue Schlageter says:

I loved this message Stacy. So simple yet so profound. Great visual.thank you for tying it together with pg 15. Carrying this with me throughout this day.

  117. Wow! Being a visual learner, I am so glad that you had the white board to actually “show” us what God put on your heart and revealed to you – it made so much sense and has left me humbled and with a very grateful heart! God is amazing! Thank you for sharing!

  118. Thanks for the visual image of God’s amazing GRACE! From the Grave to Grace! His undeservable Grace! I love those simple visuals which help me remember this concept. So beautiful to see how God uses even a typo to bring truth.

  119. Dana Siler says:

What a refreshing reminder of God’s Amazing Grace! The picture you drew helps to put in perspective what the definition of His Grace really is! Thank you!

  120. Your message Stacey touched my heart this morning….it helped me start the next part of the study with Grace.
    Thank you!!!

  121. Terri Weidner says:

Beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing the message God gave you Stacy!!! And Melissa…I don’t know about anyone else from Ohio but I use that phrase a lot!!! 🙂

  122. Susanne T says:

I think this is an awesome reminder that we don’t have to try to earn anything! So many times I find myself trying to please others, please my family and please God, except that’s already been done for me! It’s not up to me to try to earn grace, grace has already been given.

  123. Haven Willimon says:

Love how God reaffirms his message to us! Love the illustration

  124. What a great visual! Thank you for sharing! This helps us to see how God’s grace works and how amazing to know that all we have to do is except that grace!

  125. I had done the same thing too when typing, but just glossed over it. I love hearing her explain how Christ took us from the grave to grace and covered us with his protection to do so.

  126. Such a simple truth that I need to be reminded of often… there is NOTHING that God requires in return for His grace.

    • Joyce Kaiser says:

Cindy Your words are so right on and I wanted to comment on something I thought of when I read your thoughts….you know if I would not ever “screw up” or say the wrong word, or think negative thoughts, or forget to pray….who is God going to help. I would not need His help if things were “perfect.” I screw up all the time and maybe that is why I end up talking or journaling with God as He is there to help me in as many ways as He can. Right on!

  127. This was such a huge blessing to my soul today! From grave – to – GRACE! And to know I don’t have to do anything or try to be anything other than covered by His love and mercy. Praise God!

  128. That was totally cool! Glad you decided to share it today. <3

  129. Beautiful picture of Grace, so amazing! Blessings to you!

  130. Joyce Kaiser says:

Cool and awesome….though I need to focus on Jesus in the grave…this is a definite POSITIVE to remember..that Grace is ever so important in my life every day. I need the bvlessing of GRACE to function, to think, to share, and to feel it in my heart. I am worthy of God’s love, of God’s grace, and of God in me. this is a neat way to remember how important I am, how important God is in my life, and that He fills me with lots and lots of Grace for me to keep, talk about, and to share. May God’s grace be with you every moment of today! We shall be talking about the grave soon…and yet I can turn that around and feel God’s grace every moment of the day. Thanks and Bless you! Joyce

  131. Thank you for sharing! What a great way to start the day with this wonderful message!! What an amazing gift Gods Grace is!!!

  132. Ashley Ford says:

What an amazing way to look at the gift God gave us. I especially loved in the video when she wrote on the dry erase board about the v pointing down and the c being Christ and how he covered us. I am going use that to better explain Easter to my Sunday school class. Amazing.

  133. Awesome Stacy! thank you for sharing from grave to grace! Love it and am so very thankful for Him doing that for each of us!

  134. Good morning OLB buddies…
My first thought when I saw the drawing was, ” A typo… A mistake…God extends grace “so that” we can white out… Blot out… Our not so perfect actions! What an awesome life applicable example He used today to share with us. Thank you.

  135. What Stacy talks about is something that I’ve heard numerous times. However, I’ve never seen a depiction of this, and that depiction is what really drove home the point and the message she was making. We are COVERED by CHRIST and no longer sentenced to the grave. What a gift…

  136. In 1991 I made some serious mistakes that caused me to have an estrangement from my Mother’s side of the family. I had been living with this guilt and shame for over 2o years. In my first OBS with Proverbs 31 with Tracie Mills. Stressed-Less Living. She mentioned that we needed to reclaim our lives. I had allowed Satan to have a stronghold on me in this area for 20 years. It had been such a weight to carry, and had dimmed the joy in my life. I began to see that I had sentenced myself to this life of guilt and shame. The Lord came from the grave to give me grace, I only had to accept it. It has been quite a journey since I did that study. I have finally forgiven myself for being weak and allowing a situation to get out of hand. Several months ago I found my cousins on Facebook, and I have been invited to my Aunt and Uncles 50th anniversary party. I think I was deceived by Satan that my Uncle still was holding a grudge. I am attending the party, not to discuss the past, but to renew this relationship. My Mother died in 1996, and this family is all I have left of her. It is a shame that we do not allow what the Lord did for us on the cross to really free us from our past. His grace is free, we just have to accept it and really live it. I feel like such a load has been lifted from me. I never needed to carry the burden, because he died on the cross to take us from the grave to grace.
    Pam

    • Your comment so speaks to me. I, too, have a past that I would like to erase. Thanks for letting me know there are others out there dealing with the same issues.

    • Beth Wright - Proverbs 31 Ministries OBS Team says:

remember God doesn’t use our past to define us but He uses it to refine us. thank goodness for His forgiveness!

  137. Wow, that was awesome. It makes you see it SO much clearly. Thanks for starting my day on a high “letter”!!

  138. Sylvia Tucker says:

Wow! ….and Good morning! I love it!!! The grave to Grace demo was sooo profound and so true of our Father.
    Thank you for sharing!

  139. Melissa Koretsky says:

Wow. Very powerful and meaningful. I love the analogy, makes amazing sense. Thank you.

  140. Wow! I’m just in tears this morning because I needed to hear this message this morning! Not in a group this time but following along as best as I can here on the blog!! It just made things more simple for me for school right now.

    Great teaching Stacy!!!!!

    • Brenda Greathouse says:

Mary, isn’t it so amazing when God brings us personally the message we need to hear at just the right moment?! And simple is best! Life can be so overwhelming, that to focus on the simple things is quite refreshing! John 3:16, simple yet so very powerful! Blessings to you for a great week at school!

  141. Stacy, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this. And what is so cool is that one of my prayers for us as we go through LST has been for God to bring His Hebrews 4:12 living and active Word alive in our hearts and your “word” from Him about “from the grave to grace” is God doing just that. You have brought His Word alive to all of us in a fresh way. Thank You, Heavenly Father, for answered prayer. It moved me to want to listen to the beautiful hymn, Amazing Grace. I have included the link to the “updated” version by Christ Tomlin.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jbe7OruLk8I

    Blessings to you!

    Wendy

  142. LOVE IT! The way “C” covers “v” taking us from grave to grace is about as perfect a reminder of God’s love for us as I could possibly imagine. Great thoughts Stacy, thank you for sharing with all of us!!

  143. Kelly Moore says:

I really like the image she gave for God covering us with His Grace…..God loves us so much He was willing to give all He had to redeem us, restore us, show His love for us, and to be with us….When I think of God’s Grace….I think of fresh dew in the morning….covering the residue of yesterday…and feeding the soul with heavenly water. His tender mercies are new every morning!!!

  144. WOW!!!!!! is right. That is totally awesome. I am so very thankful for God’s grace in my life. I love Him so!!!!!

  145. I love visuals and this one knocked my socks off! I’ve heard people speak about being “covered” by Christ, but never could imagine how that looked! Thank for sharing your thoughts and the obscure way that it came to you. God used a cell phone to communicate with you, you just needed to listen and be open to interpretation! How many times in our busy lived must we miss God’s “call”? I pray after watching your video, we all take a little more time to pause, reflect and truly listen for God in our everyday lives. Blessings sweet sisters and thank you Stacy!

  146. Beth Roberts says:

I loved the image that came from the typo. I am excited to be able to fully follow this Bible study. I work in Guinea, WA and we have slow internet so past studies that I have followed I have missed seeing the videos. I am in US for six months so it is a wonderful way to start my time at home. I am enjoying the study and loved this word picture! Grave to Grace…Thank You Jesus!

  147. Oh wow! I got chills-literal chills-when Stacy drew the C around the V! AWESOME VISUAL!!! Thanks for sharing Stacy!

  148. Amazing! Tears in my eyes. God is SO GOOD!

  149. Great video! I REALLY needed this reminder. It’s easy to forget God’s free gift and turn Christianity into a works based faith out of fear we’re not making God happy. Thanks again.

  150. That was amazing! And it makes perfect sense, because I think a lot people forget how and why God sent Jesus to us, I know I did most of my life and when I am reminded of it, it always takes my breath away and makes me love Him even more!

  151. WoW! Thank you for the video, Stacy. My eyes were opened and I sat in my chair nodding and saying…I get it!!!!

  152. Heather Leckey says:

    Love.this.so.much!!!!

  153. Wooohoooo Stacey! Great job what an awesome message today! I also loved that paragraph!

  154. That is so amazing! I keep thinking about the C meaning “covered with Christ” – so wonderful!

  155. Christine says:

Well I haven’t even started reading the book yet but this little video got me super excited! What an awesome phrase and image; with the C of Christ surrounding and overcoming the v of the grave! Thank you, Stacey for that simple yet profound visual. So powerful especially with Easter so close too. Awesome! Now I better get reading….:-)

  156. This is so awesome! Thank you for sharing. It’s amazing that Jesus covered me even though he knows I’m a sinner. “Your grave/grace is enough for me”

  157. It is such a releif to know that he is covering me. My days lately seem to be tough to face and those mornings when I want to lay in bed and not take the day on have been happening more. But I remind myself that “God’s got this….I don’t have to take it on alone”. What am I really worried about? He won’t give me anything I can’t handle. He has my back and he’s got me “covered”. What a gift he has given me. #Grave2Grace

  158. What a great illustration! I think it will really help to show people this when explaining God’s gift of grace.

  159. Lately I’ve been feeling that I’m just so out of touch and falling away from God’s grace due to health and bipolar depression problems.

Then I see this video {which I have watched twice} and my heart swelled and I felt weight from my shoulders disappearing. I am a day late starting this OBS, but now I’ve got my book in front of me and I’m ready to dive in and be filled with His grace!

Thank you, Stacy, for making me realize that His grace is always with me! And that Jesus took me {us} from graVe to graCe! God bless you and THANK YOU!

  160. Kiffany Stollings says:

What an amazing concept! Love it. And what a way to share the meaning of Grace and the love of Christ with others.

  161. What a wonderful way to start the day! I love it! When you can break things down like this when you are speaking to non-believers it helps so much for them to understand the whole concept! Not to mention how much it helps me too to be reminded! God is truly Great!

  162. What an amazing way to remember what grace is. I will tell my children about this tonight to share with them what I’m learning. This book is so enlightening and easy to understand.I’m really growing. I love this. I hope you all are growing deeper into Christ as well.

  163. Debbie Sandberg says:

WOW! That was moving! Only God in His love could leave a message like that! Thanks for sharing how wonderful typos can sometimes be!! I won’t forget it!

  164. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful inspirational video with us. What a comfort to know that grace doesn’t have to be earned, it is freely given to ALL, and because of God’s amazing grace, I don’t have to face the grave. Our Heavenly Father loves us so much more than we could ever fathom or imagine!

  165. I loved it! I wrote your illustration on a sticky note and stuck it to my computer… graVe to graCe … awesome!

  166. Sharon Garner says:

An amazing illustration for all of us today. I love how God gives us visuals when we take the time the time to study His Word. Thank you Stacy for sharing this with all of us girls today. I’m a visual person, so this will stick with me. I’m going to write it in my journal today to remind me of what God has done. So many believers in Christ have this “performance” mentality when it comes to living out this Christian life. We must remember that God isn’t looking for performance or perfection. He’s looking for a willing, surrendered heart that He can mold and He can bring change to.

  167. Wow Stacy…..what an amazing way to start our morning….I love the word GRACE and it has been one of main things God has had me focused on and working on in my life for about two years now…I even have a page on FB entitled Giving God’s Grace….Anyways thanks again for sharing that with us…never looked at it quite that way before but such an awesome way to grasp what Jesus did for sure!! Have a blessed day and look forward to more sharing from you and the other gals!!

  168. Jenny Webb says:

God’s Grace is truly amazing. I do Love the visual of the C for Christ covering the v. Thank You for sharing.

  169. Unbelievable! I was so stinkin’ blessed by this! “He is going down there and he has already beaten that for you.” Amen Amen. Brought tears to my eyes. It was as if the messages of victory from M2C finally sunk deep as I realized that God was victorious, and his grace is covering me. Amen. Thank you so much for sharing today!

  170. marylou batty says:

I loved this idea. I’m going to write it in my Bible, hide it in my heart, and pray God will open the door, so I can share it with someone less. Thank you.

  171. Tanisha G. says:

I just loved this short but sweet message. Grace is what overs us!! Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for a sinner like me. Proverbs 31 staff never seize to amaze me. Thanks Melissa.

  172. Donna Graham says:

Wow…that is amazing!. Thank you Stacy for sharing that revelation God gave you. I am going to pass that on to others. Thank you again for letting God use you!!

  173. Jennifer Tapper says:

Wow! Very powerful and thought provoking.

  174. Toshina says:

I just had a feeling of thankfulness and comfort when I listened to how Jesus covered us. Very awesome message.

  175. Judy Strom says:

I am struck by the thought of Jesus and the thief on the cross. Jesus had every right to point out the thief’s wrongs, instead He just forgave him and extended Grace to him as he was facing the grave. Jesus expected nothing more than for the thief to receive grace and eternal life. Wow, Jesus expects nothing more of us than the same as the thief, to receive grace and have the gift do eternal life.

  176. Kathleen Griffin says:

I love this ! We are experiencing quite a bit of rain here where I live; grace is like God’s “umbrella”; under it we are safe and protected. It is there for us all the time. Amen.

  177. Christina says:

Amazing truth! Grave to Grace is synonymous with Christ’s redemptive work in us … He paid it all! And how easy it is to get caught up in the performance trap that robs us and diminishes this truth …. we adamantly defend a non-works-based theology, and yet, live and judge others as though we are all trying to earn and force others to earn our way to redemption …. oh dear sisters, may we see the reality of this truth and cherish it deeply with ourselves and one another. Thank you, Stacy for sharing this visual interpretation of this mighty truth.

  178. Kristin B says:

WOW! I am still recovering from the awesomeness of this. I love how it is put that he “covers” us. So glad that God put this on your heart and you shared it.

  179. Jennifer Herbert says:

Thank you Stacy! That was truly a blessed typo for all of us. I loved you message and will be sharing with my fam and friends. Sweet blessings.

  180. Stacy thank you for sharing your revelation with us! I love that there are insightful people who are willing to share their thoughts. I’m extremely thankful that Christ has me covered and I have no fear of the grave. How do people without Christ face this world with its daily problems without the hope of eternal life with the King?

  181. Amanda Detmer says:

That was great, thank you. In my prayer this morning, I asked God to show me His grace today, He didn’t take long 🙂

  182. Jeannette Crooks says:

Thanks for blessing me this morning. I am definitely going to share this.

  183. Nancy S-Proverbs 31 OBS Team says:

STINKIN AWESOME Stacy!!! Thank you for sharing this amazing revelation that God gave you!!

  184. Love it! I’m a visual learner and loved her using the whiteboard to show how Christ covered our death like that. Such a great reminder!!

  185. That was an awesome description and visual this morning. Blessings!!

  186. Susan Pritchard says:

This song has a power message that falls in line with Stacy’s Grave to Grace teaching today. Thank you for sharing, Stacy. I love an “AH-HA” moment too! 🙂

  187. Valerie says:

God is SO good! Thank you so much for sharing your epiphany from your text typo, and your visual on the meaning of from grave to grace. From reading the responses, it’s been a blessing to many already! It never ceases to amaze me how the Lord is always at work in my life, sending me people, messages, and circumstances to show his love for me. Right now, I’m taking the Healing from the Inside Out class at my church, and I am being healed in so many different ways. I wanted to share with you my ending sentence from Chapter 1: Jesus came so that my identity could come through HIM, not the world. Jesus came to cover me with grace so that I could be remade.

From grave to grace makes me think of the song by Tenth Avenue North, “You are More.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwtcwQwgdsA

Have a blessed day, soul sisters!

  188. Grace… something God wants me to know, absorb, experience. I must admit that I have slipped into a “works” mentality with my faith … and God wants to change me. Holy Spirit is trying to teach me about grace… and how there is nothing I can do to deserve grace … but just accept it. Thank you for this beautiful description to help me understand the free gift of grace… because God is who He is.

Living faith-filled and full of God’s never ending grace.

  189. What a beautiful illustration! I love how God can work and speak to us in the simplest, unexpected ways. As a writer, words have always fascinated me…where they come from, how the meanings change over time, etc. It’s amazing how just changing one letter not only changes the meaning entirely, but creates a beautiful picture with the letters of God’s grace covering us, going behind and underneath us, and paying the price for us. Thanks for sharing this.

  190. Pat Keller says:

And how wonderful to hear/see a message from grave to grace during Lent! Thank you.

  191. Bev Franklin says:

Thank you for sharing your thoughts Stacy!!! That was an amazing visual depiction of God’s gift of grace!

  192. Jennifer Buczynski says:

This video was amazing and really spoke to me too. I have been struggling with the thoughts of certain people in my family who were saved years ago and have decided now to go a different direction but I always wonder if they are saved. In my eyes they are. The man on the cross next to Jesus didn’t ask Jesus til the day he was dying. Wow, amazing. Thanks so much for sharing this.

    • I don’t know what kind of “different direction” you’re tslking about, but be cautious about assuming someone is saved, especially if you aren’t seeing fruit. Yes, the thief on the cross was saved moments before death, but if he had been able to live he would have been expected to grow in the Lord and bear fruit. The desire is put within us when we receive the Holy Spirit. Some people at a moment of crisis come to God out fear or another emotion (think of all the people who flocked to churches after 9/11), but when their crisis is over they have no need for God. Still others may grow up going to church, doing churchy things and yet never enter into a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Jesus warned against this in Matthew 7:21-23 & 25:12. Believers need to be actively pursuing a relationship with the Lord. Even the devil believes in God’s existence, but he’s not going to receive salvation and eternal life. It’s not the same as believing in Jesus and receiving Him as our Savior and Lord. Keep praying for your family members to come to relationship with Jesus. I’m praying for them, too!

      Philippians 2:12 NLT
Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.

      Matthew 12:33
“Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit.

      Luke 6:43-44
“No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers.

      Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

      James 2:18
But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.

      James 3:12
My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

  193. Wow! I’m so glad I watched this video. The demonstration really brought it to life as to what Christ did for the thief and for Me. He has covered Me with grace to protect me from the grave. Thank you very much!!
    Kelly

  194. I loved this thought and illustration. A very beautiful way to think about God’s grace. I love knowing that He’s got me covered and surrounded. Thank you for sharing. 🙂

  195. Jesus came so that we can be covered in grace. i am so thankful for the grace God showers me with on a daily basis. but to think about the fact that Jesus suffered and died so that we/I could be covered in grace blows me away. i am so undeserving of His grace.

  196. Lynnette B says:

Awesome illustration! Thank you for sharing!

  197. Brenda Moore says:

I am so excited!!!! I was DEAD in my trespasses and sins, BUT GOD—BUT GOD showed his wonderful, marvelous grace to me, and delivered me!!! Set me free from that GRAVE!!! I want to live in GOD’S PRESENCE ALWAYS!!!! GOD’S GRACE IS AMAZING!!!!!

  198. Very cool illustration. Thanks for sharing with us.

  199. Great illustration! Very easy to remember Stacey. Thanks so much for sharing it 🙂

  200. Sheila Hampton says:

Thank you for the video! From the grave to grace illustration makes me want to shout!!

  201. Melinda Piper says:

Wow I never thought of it that way! My phone as been known to do that as well. Thank you for putting a new perspective on what most people become frustrated with. It makes me take a step back to think of all the other subliminal messages He may be sending when I get upset about things. Hmmmm. Thank you!!!

  202. Wow! I have been attending study group thru church about grace which is nearing the end. I will share this video as a great way to end our study.
    Thank you

  203. Monique says:

That was a big impact on me.

  204. totally blew me away when I watched her video this morning. Thank you for sharing.

  205. Stacy, love your video – thank you for taking the time to inspire us OBS sisters! I love examples of God’s girls taking the time to listen to what he is saying/showing them in the little things that happen in life!

  206. Terry Florich says:

Amazing visual and reminder that Christ totally covers us with grace. He transports us and is always with us. Thank you so much for sharing this.

  207. He is an Awesome God! I love how he takes the time to personally give us a revelation. Christ surrounds, I love it!

  208. I have been a church goer all my life. I didn’t know I struggled with the meaning if grace until this study. I know all the ‘church answers’ in my head. I’m a rule follower and that leaves no room for grace. I’m one that feels accomplished when I can ck things off of a list at the end of a day. I know in my head works does not get you to heaven. As I read the sentence ‘He forgave him knowing he would never study the Bible, never impact the Kingdom , and never bring another to Christ, without any warning I began to cry. It’s crazy how you can read verses your whole life and think you understand them but you don’t. Galatians 3:23-25 have now moved from my head to my heart. Thank you Jesus. It’s my birthday today and I couldn’t ask for a better gift then to now truly understand his gift of grace to me!!!

  209. Linda Kavanagh says:

Loved the video, the whole part in the second section really spoke to me too.
Grace does not depend on what we have done but God has done for us. It’s such a simple statement and I’m sure most of us know that already but for whatever reason this week it really hit me. We are free because of his amazing graCe.

  210. Kim W (Texas) says:

Wow!! She made that SO real! Grave to Grace. It is so amazing when God brings things to people like that. Thank you for sharing a wonderful truth of what God did for us all. Awesome! God is so awesome!!!

  211. Kelly J says:

I love the imagine of Christ COVERING us! He has already been down to the grave…from grave to graCe!
    Thanks for sharing.

  212. Monique says:

I just watched Glorious Grace on Utube & it also shows Jesus’ grace. Great clip!

  213. The idea of grace – of getting what we don’t deserve – truly is amazing, and completely counter-culture to this world’s way of doing things! It truly does take the Holy Spirit to help us understand God’s amazing grace for us! The thief at the cross is the perfect example! Love this video! Such a great message!

  214. Jenny H. says:

Thank you for sharing the drawing/image. I would not have “absorbed” the depth of the concept if you had not used the whiteboard. I thank God for Him using you to deliver that AWESOME reminder!!

  215. What an amazing visual! What’s most beautiful about you sharing that video with us is how the Holy Spirit spoke to you through a typo!! I love it and I too LOVED that paragraph Wendy wrote. It really got me thinking about GRACE. At times it can be hard to wrap our heads around but the story of the thief really put it together for me. Its true, when we read the Bible over and over you see something new!!!

    Thank you for sharing!
    xoxox

  216. Beverly Stethem says:

I loved the visual and I absolutely LOVED your excitement and your comment about God’s grace being “stinking amazing”!!! I’m pumped!

  217. Wow!!! What a great message! Thank you so much Melissa and Stacey for sharing that with us!! Love it!!! Christ covers us!!!

  218. Love this! Thank you for sharing!!

  219. The visual pretty much sums up the whole chapter! I love the Big C (Christ) covering the little v (pointing down to the grave). I’m a visual learner much of the time with pictures, charts, etc. making learning come alive in my brain (if that makes sense). So I really appreciate Stacey’s input. Awesome!!

  220. What a beautiful picture! Thank you for sharing. So appropriate with Easter right around the corner…love it and will definitely share with others.

  221. Cheryl Logan says:

Truly AMAZING GRACE. What Jesus has done is beyond AWESOME. This study got me into Romans regarding the law of sin & death. A head knowledge became a revelation truth. What Christ did on the cross , because of Him we no longer have to live in & by the law of sin & death which kept us in this grave, dead. His blood, his sacrifice, His LOVE POURED OUT, brought us a new law by which we live by now, the Law of the Spirit of Life. When this became so real for me I felt freedom, because I saw that I have been too much influenced to live by the law of sin & death. Now I know that I know I do not have to live by that law anymore, It’s so clear the law I now live in is the Spirit of Life and if I see that law try attack me again it will not prevail because I know have the Truth that overcomes that lie! Hallelujah! We truly have been set FREE!
Jesus has did it all, he gave us the faith to believe, he gave us His Spirit so we can obey. He pour out his love into our hearts & Oh so so so much more…………… We now LIVE! We have been eternally resurrected from the dead, from the grave…………………I love you all

  222. Sandy Turner says:

I love the example of grave to grace. The visual was a great example.

  223. I also loved the visual! “Grace greater than all my sin!”

Loved the visual! Funny, this exact statement (Grace does not depend on what we have done, but on what God has done for us.) was my favorite take-away from this part of the study also.

  226. WOW!. Powerful visual display. Thanks so much for sharing. What a wonderful reminder!!!

  227. Courtney J says:

Stacy, this word is so powerful! His Grace is so much greater than our sins. Thank you for sharing this word and the visual. Be blessed! 🙂

  228. I really loved this video and so far this study is proving to be quite eye opening. I do have to say though, Wendy says that it did not matter to Jesus what motivated the thief to confess his sin. But that’s NOT true. Jesus knows the heart of every one of us and knew the heart of the man hanging next to him. He saw he was truly repentant and saved him that day because of his heart. His heart was right with Christ.

Though we do not need to do anything thing to earn grace, be reminded that God knows our hearts. And if in our hearts we are right with him and truly living spirit led lives, we WANT to do something. We want to live “so that” others will see his love and grace and come to know him!

Loving this study! Love all you ladies 🙂

    • Good point, thanks for that reminde, Kelley. We do need a sincere heart’s desire to come to Jesus. We may never know if anyone in the crowd was touched by this man’s confession and Jesus’ gift of grace prompting them to believe on Jesus themselves, but we do know that even with a death “bed” conversion faith needs be our motivation to receive the grace Jesus offers to all.

  229. Stacy, that is so stinking amazing amazing:) I highlighted the thief passage too, but I’m blown away with what God gave you on from the grave to grace. Thanks for sharing!

  230. Grave to Grace….oh how I love this! Jesus came to “C”onquer the grave with His grace and give us new life and hope. This totally put. Smile on my face today! I’m covered by the grace of Jesus, not by the sins that lead to the grave

  231. FANTASTIC!!! Thank you for sharing!!!

  232. Wow that was amazing from the grave to grace keep that with me today god is so good.i loved it.

  233. Every time I type the word grace out on my phone I hit the v instead and have to change it from grave to grace–and that happens a lot since it is part of the name of a product I sell…I will never look at having to fix that word the same again. I will be forever reminded of this. Christ took that v took me going down and changed it. He is above me and below me.

  234. It’s so crazy because when I read that exact section of the chapter it grabbed my attention and I read it aloud to my husband. Great symbolism.

  235. Amen! From grave to grace! The part about the thief on the cross with Jesus really touched me. As followers of Christ and lovers of Jesus we should want to impact the world for Christ! But nothing we do or don’t do can change God’s free gift of grace to us through Jesus! Praise God!

  236. I just LOVE when God gives us visions and images to make a point! Thank you for sharing with us, Stacy! Such a wonderful reminder of God’s grace and what Jesus has done for us. The imagery reminds me of this verse:
“You have enclosed me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me.”
    Psalm 139:5 NASB
Doesn’t that justcapture the image of drawing that big C around the little v. We are loved, rescued, protected, and cherishec daughters of the Most High God! Don1t ever forget that!

  237. Elizabeth says:

Awesome! I like word images that help me see and reflect. This is cool and something easy to remember that I can carry around with me as I go through the day.

  238. That was so awesome, and then when you drew it on the board it just blew me away! So much to think about today now. Thank You Stacy!

  239. This is an image that will stick with me. We all were headed for the GRAVE, for eternal death, by Christ covered us with His GRACE. Good news to focus on today.

  240. Leigh Ellen says:

Grave = death, sin, darkness, condemnation
Grace = life, belief, light, hope
The above descriptions came to mind as I thought about Stacy’s message. I thought about how God in His great love chose to believe in me and cover me with His grace despite my sin. He chose grace over condemnation; belief over turning His back. His grace has brought light to my darkest moments – given me new life and set my feet on an eternal path for His Glory!

  241. Carrie D says:

I watched the video. What a wonderful illustration! I will remember this when I’m going through struggles and feeling down. I will also remember God’s grace when I look at my beautiful children. Both of their names begin with a C, after seeing this video, I don’t think that was buy accident. They are a constant reminder of God’s grace. Thank you so much for this post and sharing the video. Just what I needed for the storm I’m in the middle of right now. Love all of you ladies!

  242. Jennie L says:

God is good all the time! I was so blessed by this and so grateful you shared it, especially today! Thank you both for following the Holy Spirit’s lead to share and speak to us God’s truth…. #LivingSoThat #GravetoGrace

  243. Wow, just wow. That is such a beautiful picture. Isn’t it amazing how God can use even our cell phones to get our attention. That is a lesson that will stick with me forever.

  244. “Grace, Grace, God’s grace, Grace that will pardon and cleanse within; Grace, Grace, God’s grace, Grace that is greater than all our Sin.” I remember singing this song one of the verses says, “Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace, freely bestowed on all who believe! You that are longing to see His face, will you this moment His grace receive. Thanks for that beautiful lesson. Blessings Diana

    • I love that song! It’s sad that so many of the old hymns are going by the wayside. Thanks for bringing it up here.

  245. I LOVED this video! That too was one of my favorite parts of the book depicting the depth of God’s grace.. and this typo “grave to grace” made it that much more AMAZING! He covers us completely..

  246. Amber Nixon says:

Oh my word! Why have I never seen or thought or this? THIS. IS. AMAZING! Grave 2 Grace – speechless. Thank you God. And thank you for sharing!

  247. Suzanne Taylor says:

Thank you for sharing! This was an amazing visual of God’s grace freely given to us for nothing that we have done to deserve it, but rather what Jesus did for us. Thank you Jesus that we no longer have to be bound by the law of sin and death! His amazing grace covers me!

  248. Wow! that is amazing. That was amazing! God’s word or typo’s never turn out vain. Loved the way she used that visual and since I’m a tactile visual learner this will stick with me. loved how she covered the C over the v…

  249. Brenda E. says:

Wow! Tears of joy rolling down my face!….beautiful!!!

  250. Such a sweet inspiring way for God to use a simple mistake to show His love & grace for us, thank you so much for sharing

  251. That is beautiful, such a great illustration and awesome to share with others at Easter!

  252. Gloria Koehler says:

I think it’s wonderful how God works this way. What she thought, at first, to be a “mistake” in her typing, was actually not a mistake at all, but a lesson from our Lord.

    • Gloria Koehler says:

I would like to also say that after doing Part Two of the bible study this morning, I could not help but think back on my childhood, during those early years when I was learning about God at the church my family attended. I remember thinking that I did need to earn God’s grace or love because I was taught that we need to keep the commandments and if we don’t, that is sin, and it needs to be confessed.
I also heard a lot about heaven and hell growing up and that if we have un-confessed sin in our lives when we die, we will be punished by God, in the fires of hell.
It’s still hard for me to get this early upbringing out of my mind.
Any thoughts? Or did anyone else grow up thinking this way, too?

      • Gloria,
I understand the idea of having to keep the commandments, but this section does a good job of explaining that Jesus’ death on the cross happened SO THAT the commandments could be replaced by the Spirit; if you measure your actions by the fruits of the spirit and strive to be in God’s will, the commandments will take care of themselves. If you ask yourself “is this act of mine based on the Spirit God gave me?” the answer will help you discern the right action.
As far as God punishing us and sending us to hell—I think it is more a case of us punishing ourselves by not accepting the grace that God has given. I believe God is loving and forgiving; we are the ones who are small minded and legalistic. He has given us a way back to Him, it is up to us to take it.
By the way, love your name! Gloria! That has to be a sign in itself!

  253. Thank you for sharing what God put on your heart.

  254. Kim Riddle says:

I love this! From the grave to GRACE! And it comes to me the morning after my 6 year old little boy ask his dad to say the sinners prayer with him! Now that is an example of “from the grave to GRACE!” Oh and now he wants to be baptized! Yes this is one momma on cloud 29! LOL GOD IS SO GOOD!

  255. Jennifer says:

So grateful that she shared what the Lord impressed on her heart. Such a beautiful and true illustration of what He has and continues to do for US!

  256. Denise B. says:

WOW I love the idea of “Grave to Grace”…how God has a great sense of humor using a typo to bless us! May I use this during Sunday school to explain it to the children I teach – how simple yet profound this is.
And even though “Bless your socks off!” hasn’t been used that much in Canada,. it is still understood!
    Thank you Stacy for sharing!

  257. Delia Macias says:

That was an awesome analogy! Thank you for sharing Stacy!

  258. Amazing how one letter put into a phone can turn into something profound, only the Lord could do that. Only HE could have shown that V turn to a big ole C.

  259. This is my first ever bible study. I am just already so moved to tears from this study. Before I found this website, I felt lost and confused. As of now I know what I was missing. I was brought up going to church as a young girl but I felt like my heart was never in it and the church wasn’t as welcoming to youth I feel, then my mother found a new church years later and we started going and I was extremely motivated and then I let life get in the way. Now I feel like I’m back, but with a new kind of passion to learn God’s word and to apply it to my life and hopefully be able to bring my husband to God’s word. Though it may be a struggle. His grace is so amazing, and I want to say I am so grateful and thankful I found Proverbs 31 Ministries!

  260. Wonderful! I will use this! What an amazing way to show what has been done for us. Thank you!

  261. Awesome! What a beautiful way to demonstrate what Christ saved us from! It truly puts it in perspective!

  262. Katherine Doughty says:

Wow! Thank you for sharing. I will never look at grace the same way again.

  263. Thank you Stacy for this message. God is so amazing in all He does, and I love how He just speaks to us when we least expect it. Who would have thought that your typo would bring a beautiful picture/message to all of us!
When you did the visual on the board, I thought of the song Amazing Grace (My chains are gone), I love the part of the song that says “My chains are gone I’ve been set free My God my Savior has ransomed me And like a flood His mercy reigns Unending love amazing grace” It brings tears to my eyes every time.
Yes, from the grave to grace!!! Thanks again Stacy

  264. carolineN says:

this is so awesome – I was in grave danger of eternal damnation until Christ died SO THAT I could be saved. Now that’s grace!

  265. Lisa Hodge says:

Thank you for that inspiration. I love your whiteboard presentation. Thanks for sharing.

  266. Thank you so much for the analogy! Awesome way to start my day. Thanks again

  267. That was an awesome message this morning. From Grave to Grace, we are so blessed to have a God who loves us as only He can.

  268. Christy Nelsen says:

What a wonderful way to explain it!!! I wrote that under the verse around my house just like she had it on the white board. THIS is why I love studying with y’all.
    Have a blessed, awesome day!!

  269. Shekisha Lea says:

This was so awesome. Thank you so much for sharing.

  270. Love this illustration!! I love the seeing Christ covering us!

  271. I watched the video. Never thought of it that way but it says it all… by the Grace of God we are here. Thank you for sharing that idea… I am going to pass it on…

  272. Susan Weatherford says:

This is amazing! What a great example of how the Lord has been to the grave so we can have God’s grace.

  273. I have a little different take on the story of the robber on the cross. While he may not have personally affected anyone for Christ, don’t you think his story most certainly has? Isn’t knowing that he didn’t have to do anything other than recognize Jesus’ diety an awesome witnessing element? Just my quick take on that part of the summary today.

  274. Great visual – I put Grav(C)e on a post it note on my bathroom mirror – Thank You.

  275. That part jumped out at me too as I was studying. It doesn’t matter if we do nothing…we are covered in God’s grace. Sometimes I get caught up in all I am not doing such as studying enough, reading enough, serving enough and I forget to let God’s love just cover me and to rest in that. Loved the video and how we are covered in grace. Grace overcame the grave and for that I am thankful! Thank you for blessing me with that illustration today!

  276. Thanks Stacy!
I love that God can use a typo for such an awesome illustration.
    Grave to Grace!

  277. Laura Anderson says:

I love the visual Stacy shared of grave to grace. When I read that part of the book, I was really struck by how much I struggle with that. I know I’m not perfect, but sometimes I feel so imperfect, I question myself. Can I really be a good Christian if I’m so imperfect? (Yes, I know this is the basis of our faith, but knowing I have forgiveness and living in that grace are two different things!) I loved Wendy’s words in today’s reading, and I loved Stacy’s visual to always remind me – from grave to grace.

  278. Linda Weathersby says:

Oh Wow! What an awesome illustration of God’s grace for us! Praise God for that typo and giving you this inspiration to share with all of us! Christ has covered us–took us from the Grave to Grace! How Awesome!!

  279. Jeanne Yates says:

Good morning to all you OBS ladies and prayer warriors. This is a remarkable video. I never thought of it that way before but it is a great picture of what Jesus has done for us, one and all. It is so easy for the human race to get saved but people don’t want to accept it like that. They are so sure they must do something (work) to earn the salvation that is freely given to us by grace. For it is by grace you are saved, not of works least anyone should boast. Wow! This video was truly an eye opener to me. The way the V points down and the way the C surrounds it. Amazing Grace, God loves us so much. I pray that I can be a light shining forth for Jesus today and help someone who is seeking a much better life.

  280. I love that illustration. So perfect especially at Easter time. I can’t wait to share this with someone. So thankful for this study. God bless all of our LST ladies!!!

  281. WOW!! I love it!! It brought tears. Jesus is my cover from the grave. From the grave to grace. How thankful I am for my Savior Jesus Christ!!

  282. Jen Rasor says:

God is amazing and it’s amazing that He speaks to us so personally and profoundly. Thanks so much for sharing this, as it really blessed me!

  283. Dianne Nida says:

Love it! Thank you for sharing it!

  284. Lisa Bekkering says:

This is a very interesting way to view this and I am very happy she shared.

  285. Tricia J says:

Loved the video. I quoted that same passage last night on Twitter. It was a portion of yesterday’s study that really spoke to me. Enjoying the study very much.

  286. LOVE this truth! Thanks so much for sharing!!!

  287. Amy black says:

How exciting and beautiful is that. ? From the grave to Christ covering us. I loved the message God shared with you. I am bad about constantly praying to God in confessing my sins. But then. This cloud of guilt follows and hovers over me. I need to leave those thoughts in that grave, yeah, the one Christ provided for me, and move on to live in that grace place, the place of the covered in Christ. LOVE LOVE LOVED IT.

  288. Dawn York says:

What an awesome message!!! Love the way God can turn our uh oh’s into Aha moments.

  289. Jennifer Moir says:

Thank you so much for sharing that. I spoke to me. How amazing is that.

  290. All I know to say right herenis WOW! It’s an awesome thought that only an awesome God could bring to mind. That image from the White board my have to go up in my cubicle so I can seenit daily. Thank you so much for sharing.

  291. Regina Taute says:

You were absolutly right….Stacy blessed my socks off! What a wonder visual and an even better explaination of how she saw it! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

  292. Wow Stacy, that was simply amazing! Thank you! I work in a church office and we are busy preparing for the upcoming Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter services next week. What a grave to grace week it will be! Thank you Jesus for covering filthy, sinful us with your grace every single day!
    Much love to you all!

  293. Melissa & Stacy,
WOW this is sooooooo GOD!! I love how He works and confirms!! I was just writing on this exact topic….
“In the game of Life we are the players. We can either be winners “Survivors of the game of Life” or not. We have a choice. See, each player has a team and we pick “Choose” our team. I choose GOD’s Team. See I am a survivor only by the sheer GRACE of my sweet , LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. The cool thing is that each and every one of us has the choice to live by HIS GRACE or to live in the GRAVE. Check this out.
    GRACE
    GRAVE
Notice anything about the two words? They are off by just one letter, right? Just a single letter can turn a word from darkness to Light!!! The exact same way choosing your TEAM can turn your life from darkness to Life ETERNAL!! You choose!
I spent the first 40 years of my life on the wrong team. Oh I thought I was on the right team and really I more or less was on the right team, I was just on the fence. Lost, confused, stale, out of shape, following the wrong guide, using the wrong playbook.”

Thank you for sharing!!! Love Love Love how HE works.
    xoxo,
    Melissa

  294. Crystal H. says:

From graVe to graCe…. What an amazing message from a simple typo.
The thought that popped up in my spirit as I was making this comment is that we have Victory (taken from the V in graVe) in Christ (taken from the C in graCe). No matter what we have done, no matter what our circumstances are or what it “looks” like – we are covered in by HIS grace and have victory thru HIM!

    • Thank you, Crystal. Very good thoughts – “…covered by His grace and have victory thru HIM!” P raise Him!

  295. Debi Schuhow says:

    Cool!

  296. Monica Kitchens says:

What a great message. Thanks for sharing.

  297. I think that’s is awesome! It’s like when we are broken we don’t realize that God will use our brokeness to take us to where he wants us to be. I’m new to a bible study so anything that teaches me something new is very exciting. This video has given me a new meaning to both of the words Grace and Grave.

  298. Beverly Gerres says:

Good Morning Stacey, That was totally awesome #Gravetograce
I myself just read that section today and had thoughts about the Thief on the cross never studied the bible or brought someone to Christ in his life time on earth. BUT how many times has the thief’s story been used to bring others to Christ? If God can use this man how much more can he use us? Remain in HIS Grace Ladies.

  299. This was awesome. Thanks so much Stacy for sharing. Something so simple as a typo on your phone and such a powerful lession from it!!

  300. For God SO loved the world–John 3:16. Not just any love, He SO loved us. This is grace. I love the C covering the V!

  301. Hi ladies,
The video was truly thought provoking and inspiring, never thought about any of this before and I mean any part of this concept, so thank you Stacy.
Also I was reading the posts directly above mine from Melissa and Crystal and your ideas on this one letter typo is truly amazing. Glad I have women like you to help God show his love and help the blind to see. Thank you and God bless you.

  302. I am so thankful that God will never run out of ideas to help us realize the power of his grace. I have been repeating John 3:16 using my name several times a day. I am so humbled by This Love From the God of the Universe for Me. This Love from Jesus to take the grave from me and wrapping me with his Power And Love. Not to forget the PROMISE that comes with the “SO THAT”.

  303. Love it

  304. Carrie Kelley says:

Amazing! Love this illustration…so simple yet very deep. And thankful that by His grace we are saved from the grave!!! Thanks for sharing!

  305. Amber Oatman (OBS Social Media Team) says:

W.O.W. what an awesome concept. To visually see Christ (the c) covering our grave (the v) over and above, all around, was such a simple but mind blowing visual. Thank you so much Stacy for sharing!!

  306. Loved it! Thank you for bringing the connection to light in my mind. I often times put grace and forgiveness into the same arena. I find it hard to forgive myself, so why would I be given grace from God. (I am not even sure that makes any sense, but it is what is going on in my brain so I am writing it out)

  307. Lisa Lowe, THANK YOU! (I just signed that to you – I’m a Sign Language interpreter too!) This was exactly what I needed to hear today. I just spent an amazing weekend full of grave to grace experiences, witnessing to thousands of people, the story of Jesus’ birth, life, death and resurrection through musical theatre. I’ve been thinking about the people who have are now walking in a fresh new faith and how to help them to explain what it is they have witnessed and committed their lives to and this illustration is PERFECT! Gotta love how God is working, even through crazy technological errors of spell check! Many blessings to you!

  308. Jessica says:

    Hello Ladies,
That video, with that interpretation and insight was so thought provoking and comforting. Thank you Stacy!

  309. Love, love, *LOVE* the illustration. And ever since I watched your video, I’ve been singing “Lord, I Lift Your Name On High” – “You came from heaven to earth to show the way, from the earth to the cross, my debt to pay, from the cross to the grave from the grave to the sky…Lord I lift Your name on high”

  310. That video was spot one!! so glad she shared that. what an impact that had on me. When i read page 15 about the thief on the cross and God’s grace that was powerful enough but then seeing the video just drove that point home even more!! thanks for sharing that wonder insight.

  311. Wow!!! I got chills asi watched this video….it is so amazing the amount of grace that isn’t deserved… thank you Jesus for going to the grave for us and saving us with grace. I love you

  312. This Bible study is already helping me grow! I love the scripture & the encouragement to share thoughts on God’s word. For me, Grace releases me from the burden of trying to please God through my actions. Not that I should be un-Christ-like, but that there’s nothing I can do to EARN God’s love or grace, but that I can choose to position my heart and mind SO THAT I can receive the love and grace freely offered to me.

  313. Thank you! Thank you! Love this interpretation! Now I’m singing “Amazing Grace, My Chains are Gone”.

  314. Rindra Rt says:

Thank you for this great thought Stacy. Actually, without reading the text for today yet, this is we talked about in a small group today. The act of Grace which saved us from the Grave! Amazing how God speaks to us about His wonderful Gift of Love 🙂

  315. SHIRLEY SCHUY says:

I love the way you have interrupted that, it makes so much good sense and God was working with you when you seen the comparison. I will never see the crucifixion in the same light when I think of the criminal being saved and not doing anything but repent. it is a wonderful gift from God.

  316. That was POWERFUL! That part of the book really hit me also, as someone who’s always felt like I had to do something, like read the bible enough and bring enough people to Christ, so I love how the Lord is once again telling me that there is nothing I have to do, it’s all what He’s already done, He’s setting me free from wrong thinking of performance based love and I’m thankful for that 🙂

  317. Angie Register says:

That is awesome! Made me tear up!!! Really touched my heart, because he paid such a high price and such an amazing sacrifice to cover little stinking ME!!! ❤️ Thanks for sharing!!!

  318. Thank you so much for sharing that video and thank you, Stacy, for listening to God and sharing what He put on your heart and what He had you notice. I love the message you shared with us. It brought to mind again how Christ didn’t need to know the motiviation behind the criminal’s asking for forgiveness. He still forgave. That part of the book really helped me to understand Grace so much better.

  319. Karen Rhodes says:

Wow! That was awesome! I loved it!! Definitely going to put it up on a sticky as a reminder!

  320. Thank you Stacy SO much for sharing this!! This brought goose bumps to me as I listened to your video. Everyday I feel so amazed as I continue to learn of all of Gods promises to us and what Jesus did for us. We are truly blessed.

  321. What an amazing message! I am so grateful the Holy Spirit is so instilled in you, Stacy, to be able to convey the message. If it were me, I’m not sure I would have even thought twice about it, but I bet I pay more attention now!

The last OBS I did was A Confident Heart, which I didn’t finish…boo….but had finished the Yes to God study. Honestly, I haven’t even opened my Bible since the Confident Heart study, but with recent events that have happened and a huge emptiness filling my heart I decided to give a look at the P31 current study and I came upon this study – just TODAY! So I’ve spent the last hour or so going gearing up for the study and I dug into Parts One and Two! Praise God I did! My heart is feeling a little less empty now! I definitely needed this today and at this time in my life and I can’t thank God and P31 enough! I look forward to digging in deeper and pray that each and every person that is a part of this study finds the fulfillment that I have just within the last hour!

  322. That video was amazing. You broke it down & explained so well. You also put your heart into the words you were expressing. Thank you for sharing. Vicki

  323. Valerie J. says:

Brilliant! Feeling blessed beyond belief! What an amazing love our God has for us.

  324. Chandra says:

That was great! That’s why I enjoy this study, because it brings so many different views and ideas.

  325. That excerpt from the book really struck me also. What a tremendous thought. I can’t believe I never noticed it before. Jesus knew there was nothing the thief on the cross could do for the kingdom BUT he still died for him……and me. I’m thankful beyond words.

  326. Karen W. says:

loved this little video clip – and the visual! makes it stick in my head – graCe! Thanks for sharing!

  327. MichellJurski says:

From the GRAVE to GRACE – what an amazing thought! I love how we learned that the criminal on the cross didn’t have to do ONE thing to be in paradise with CHRIST – he was covered in HIS GRACE and accepted!

  328. Mavis Tipton says:

Beautiful illustration of the power of God’s grace. Thank you.
    Blessings

  329. Wow, what a compelling image. Thanks for taking a typo and correcting it for all the world to see.

  330. April Hunter says:

Wow, that was an amazing clip ! God’s GRACE is so wonderful and powerful.

  331. Rhonda Palomares says:

Oh wow! That gave me chills as she explained Christ covering. That is the absolute most awesome interpretation of what Christ did when He took that cross for me/us. LOVE IT!!!! And will definitely share it.

  332. Cynthia says:

Stacy thanks for sharing. That was soooo awesome. I’m writing it in my LST Journal. I got chill bumps on my arms. One little mistake and God showed you a big truth.

  333. I never thought of grace covering me like that. That was amazing!

  334. Constance Kuhn says:

Loved this simple but very effective picture of what Christ has done for us. I will definitely share this with my youth group this Sunday!

  335. Love the visual of the C representing Christ and covering the v for grave!

  336. Trudy Sylvester says:

Thank you Stacy for sharing!!! I love the graphic and plan to put this right in my book on that page as well. I am a co-leader of a Starting Point group (geared for starters, seekers and returners) held at our church. I am so excited about what you shared especially since we have a chapter on “Grace”. Sometimes “grace” is so hard for people to grasp. I believe with it being shown and explained this way, it might just make “the light come on” for that one person who might need it.

  337. I too have never given the verse where Jesus forgives the thief on the cross much thought until now. That man was on his way to hell and Jesus took his sin away and told him he would be in paradise with Him. This man did terrible things I am sure and Jesus forgave Him instantly. We can never ever do enough to earn God’s grace and had it not been for the love Jesus has for all of us could we ever receive God’s grace. God’s grace is the absolute best thing anyone could ever receive. Riches won’t touch it. Fame won’t touch it. God’s grace is the one true infinite gift we can ever receive.

    God bless 🙂

  338. The best most Amazing gift Grace!. Thank you Jesus

  339. This explanation and visual helped me to have that aha moment. I had never thought about God’s grace covering me like that.

  340. Laura Maynard says:

Thank you Stacy for sharing your amazing video. It gave me a new perspective and helped me understand the meaning of grace on a whole new level. This Bible study is awesome and giving me wonderful tools and ideas to help me love God’s word. Thank you and God bless!

  341. April Haile says:

BEAUTIFUL!! And it gives me such peace knowing that!!!!

  342. So Blessed Stacy that you shared this with us, and thanks to Melissa for putting it up for us. I am inspired when The Holy Spirit take a seemingly ordinary thing and turns it into a life lesson or spiritual truth. Thanks again for the inspiration Stacy. <3

  343. Joycelyn says:

    STACY!!!
WOW!!! What an AMAZING revelation!!! Isn’t it wonderful how God makes HIS word plain for us to understand? I also highlighted that portion of text on my Kindle because it just blew me away. It helped me to understand GRACE from God’s perspective. I’m so excited about this study because I am truly studying God’s word with a craving for more. (Is it a sin to be a glutton for God’s word?) I want to go even deeper. Thanks so much for sharing. Love you all!

  344. I had never thought of that before. Thank you so much for sharing that with us!! I does make a lot of sense though. Jesus did cover us with his grace when he shed his blood for us. I will have to make sure I share that with my ladies Bible study group at my church.

  345. Third day of studying and I can’t believe how many ‘so that’ are listed. The verses that we have read aren’t really new to me so its exciting for me to see that pop out of the God’s word.

  346. Patti P says:

This past weekend, my husband and I along with three other adults from our church took 11 of our teens to our divisional Youth Council. It was truly an amazing weekend. For the entire weekend, we dove into the book of Ephesians talking about the full armor of God. It was amazing. We were constantly reminded that Jesus Christ died for our sins. He died so that we could have eternal life. Without Him dying on the cross, we would have went to the grave and be eternally separated from God. But by God’s love for us, He chose to allow HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON to die on the cross for OUR SINS so that we may have evrelasting life. That is just truly amazing to me. By Jesus willing dying on the cross and going to the grave, we obtained everlasting life. What a beautiful and remarkable gift God gave!

I love the sons that references, “He could have called ten thousand angels,…but he chose to die for you and me.” What a beautiful and glorious testimony of God’s love. We have done nothing to earn it or deserve it, but it is freely given!

  347. Jaime Albaugh says:

Love the typo and the illustration The Lord birthed from it!

  348. Wow, this is incredible! Loved it! I kind of had a wow moment when I read that excerpt as well. I always knew Jesus told the thief he would enter paradise with him but I never REALLY thought about it. The way Wendy Blight describes how he would never read the Bible or lead anyone to Christ was the part where I was like oh man, I NEVER thought of that. All he did was speak a few words to Jesus and boom! Jesus served up grace and off they went to Heaven together. God is so amazing! 🙂

  349. GENDA ZAREEI says:

I WAS SO blessed by this video. I have heard the story of the cross so many times but never thought about the thief and the extension of GRACE!! WOW!! What a revelation. I will be chewing on this all week and allowing the Spirit to teach me and break down this concept for me. Like so many others, I can bless others all day long but it is so hard for me to receive from others…knowing that the thief received when nothing was expected in return hit my heart hard!!

  350. Jill Kollmann says:

WOW!! There is just nothing more worth rejoicing over than the simple fact that our names are written in heaven!!

  351. First I really enjoy all the videos they are natural and so real. 🙂
Second I loved how the holy spirt showed you the correlation between the words grace and grave .I will never write or think of those words the same again ,this is wonderful way to teach kids are anyone about GODS GRACE.
    Have a blessed day .

  352. Barbara says:

Praying this morning that I would be able to fully understand what I was reading in this bible study. Sometimes comprehending is hard for me and I really want to fully grasp and understand every word. This little video clip was answered prayer. Simple and to the point! God is sooooo perfect and so is His timing.

  353. Thank you so much for sharing this! That passage from Luke has always been my favorite …as I often times don’t feel worthy; God reminds me that even the thief on the cross was worthy! And now I have a quick little visual I can draw for myself to remind me that God’s grace makes me worthy!

  354. Christy says:

What a powerful message to receive from a typo! Thank you so much for sharing that. The more I read my Bible and learn from other people, the more blessed I feel. This is just one more example of how much God loves us.

  355. Debbie B. says:

    THANK YOU JESUS FOR LOVING US SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
    Love ya’ll!!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

  356. That was awesome that word change God has shown my family grace in so many different ways last week one of them was winning a copy of this study book

  357. Thank you for sharing your message and your art work,,,,,awesome. How amazing that He covered us with the cross and wraps His arms around us with His love.

  358. Awesome visual of grace. That is the section that grabbed my attention and heart also. Thanks for sharing.

  359. I had that part underlined in my book. I always understood the grace Jesus extended to the thief on the cross next to him because he acknowledged Jesus for who he was. But I love how Wendy Blight spells it out, that he (we) didn’t have to DO anything to get it. Stacy’s experience is another good example of God’s love for us, it’s so amazing! I had another “aha” moment in Part 3 but I’ll save that for tomorrow. 🙂

  360. That was so good ! It made me think of one of my favorite hymns..”.I stand amazed at the promise of Jesus the Nazarene, and wonder how he could love me, a sinner condemned , unclean. How marvelous , how wonderful and my song shall ever be, how marvelous , how wonderful is my Savoirs Love for me! “. ….I just had to write it out for everyone to read (:

  361. Melissa Hughes says:

Thank you for your video. Today has been a rough one emotionally for me. I know the evil one is not wanting me in this study for some reason because he is turning my world upside down – not in a good way. This video, after finishing part two of the study, has brought me peace knowing that God’s grace is enough. His grace will cover my pain. His grace will protect me through this horrible flip in my marriage. His grace will mend our broken hearts. His grace is enough.

    • I can understand this post. Satan has really been on overtime with me too. I know the last time it was like that was when I started the Journey & changed my life…he didn’t want me to do this & I’m thinking it’ll be just as good, if not better than the last time God had His way! 🙂

  362. Wow! Now that’s cool. God showed up even in something as small as a one-letter typo! Thank you for sharing this. Jesus is awesome for having covered us with grace by dying for us. 🙂

  363. Heather says:

I love that she encircled the “v” with the “C”! It’s so true that God’s grace, especially through Jesus Christ, has and still does cover us. It encircles us like a never-ending hug! It didn’t just cross out the “v” and pretend that it isn’t there anymore. Physical death – the grave – still happens, but because of God’s grace we can have eternal life with Him. I love the whole concept of God’s grace and that it is absolutely NOT dependent on anything I do. That is such a relief that my Heavenly Father loves me no matter what, and I don’t have to try to earn that or prove myself worthy enough to deserve it, or anything else. I can carry out the rest of my life secure in the knowledge and presence of His unending grace.

    • Terri Ball says:

Heather, I just watched the video and was getting ready to post something. Then I read your post and thought “That’s exactly what I was going to say!” So DITTO what you said!
I LOVE the thought of the never-ending hug!
God is such a wonderful heavenly Father to Love us so much.

  364. Terri Ross says:

I can’t to share this with my mom, pastor, etc. My pastor actually preached about Jesus and the thief on the cross this past Sunday.
I love how God works..even in typos to bring such profoundness to His word.
    GO GOD!!!!

  365. Wow, we are so blessed…by God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and Proverbs 31 Ministries. Thank you, Stephanie

  366. Wendy H says:

All I can say is – Wow!
Thank you for sharing that. God is so amazing!

  367. THank you for sharing this, I just love it!
I was wondering what everyone though on Day 2 on page 14 2nd bullet point: how did you see the purpose of the law in this section? Would love some thoughts on this matter. Thanks for this study. I have 3 young girls and I stay at home, so this is the ONLY time I get to myself and I love that it is with God and you all.

    • Sarah,
my answer was : the purpose of the law was to make us aware of sin, SO THAT we would also be aware of grace.
I don’t know if that is a good explanation, but that is what spoke to me.
I love that Jesus put an end to the curse of the law, and replaced it with the promise of the Spirit.

  368. Tiffany Cole says:

I absolutely loved this video because that exact passage has stuck with me since I read it. I find myself sometimes becoming overwhelmed at the thought of what I have NOT done for His kingdom. Especially since at this current point in my life I’m called to be at home caring for children and my husband. Recently I find myself thinking, ‘How can I be doing more out in the world, learning more, absorbing more from His word?’. While a thirst and hunger for being in God’s presence is a great thing I find I can become anxious and panicked about that as though my salvation depends on it, which I KNOW it does not. I think it is just so unnatural in our world to receive such gifts freely that it is something I need to remind myself of daily. The thought of Jesus offering salvation to the thief on the cross who would do nothing for His kingdom is now firmly imprinted in my mind and on my heart.

  369. Amanda Sweet says:

Wow that was amazing!! I love this video I’ve never thought of it that way-Christ covers us with grace so we don’t have to fear the grave. That is truly beautiful!! God is amazing and wonderful!! Thanks for the new perspective of grace!!!!!!!!!!!

  370. Phyllis says:

Thank you for the video, Stacy. It was very AWE-some and inspiring. Much needed. Thank you!! Goosebumps!!

  371. Angel Young says:

I loved that!! Thanks for sharing! I really stopped and pondered that the thief was not going to add anything to the kingdom, so no works could be done in his condition and because of his belief in Christ he was saved. So that really blows the “earn salvation” theory. I lead a 12-step Christ centered recovery group (Celebrate Recovery) and I plan on sharing this illustration of grave/grace with my gals next time we meet! I’m really enjoying my first OBS and being a LST girl!!

  372. Wow…just wow!! I love this visual of grace!!!

  373. Thank you for sharing. It is a very enlightening message and leaves much to think about.
    God is great!!!

  374. I love how God sent you that little snippet through a typo. I guess He is the master “auto corrector”…from the grave to grace. What a difference!

  375. LOVE IT!!! It gave me goosebumps and it brought back memories of my very first bible study ever, in 1999. I was 24 and the study was called “The Discipline of Grace”. Oh… it was SO what I needed but I think I need to be reminded all the time. I was a religious person before I was saved in 1999. If you would have asked me if I was going to heaven, I would have said “Yes, I’m a good person”. Now the answer is not about “me” but about “Him”. Because of what Jesus did for me (Wow!!!) I get to spend an eternity with Him.
P.S. I also say “Bless your socks off!” and I’m in Omaha NE. LOL! 🙂

  376. Rene Sloan says:

That was an awesome message! Bless your socks off is right! I want to tell everyone about this! I am really enjoying this OBS!

  377. I loved Stacy’s video! It reminded me of the song- Lord I lift your name on high!

He came from heaven to earth to show the way- from the earth to the cross my debt to pay- from the cross to the grave from the grave to the sky- Lord I lift your name on high!

  378. What an amazing place to meet Stacy. God is always with us, listening in, and feeding our spirit. I love the idea of graVe to graCe. Jesus does have us covered in every way by His grace. Thanks, Stacy for sharing.
    Suzy

  379. WOW, WOW, WOW! Such a perfectly simple illustration of what God through his Son has done for mankind! THANK YOU for sharing that snippet.

  380. Tammy Haymon says:

I love how God turns our goofs into something good. Awesome message!

  381. WooHoo. That typo was not a coincidence. God knew it could be used for building His kingdom and building UP his followers. That was just too cool!

  382. Hello from Jacksonville, FL…

First Bible study ever with this group, looking forward to what God has in store. Just starting and going to catch up today and tomorrow…Looking forward to sharing and meeting new Sisters in Christ. I work fulltime, I have no relatives here – all are back home in NC and husband drives for a living so sometimes even with friends here it gets lonely. I always get the daily devotional online and God nudged me to join this study.
God Bless and have a great evening!

  383. Thank you so much for sharing! Grave to Grace! Love it! I love the visual of the c surrounding the v. Christ surrounding us! This was so helpful! Thanks again!

  384. Thank you Stacey for listening to the Holy Spirit’s speaking to you about the typo to clearly illustrate the concept of GraCe for our benefit! This was great! It blessed me and others as well! It is a great reminder for me that Jesus conquered the grave – because I have Cancer and my mortality is always before me. .. and yet NOT because of Christ’s death on the cross FOR ME and my sin. I too have the promise of eternal life and His Grace covers me through the tough times here on earth also! God is so good to me. Love the sharing, thanks ladies!

  385. Julie Sorensen says:

The law was the guide that would culminate with the gift of grace through Christ. It is no longer needed where Grace resides! Thank You, Jesus.

  386. CarolAnne says:

Oh. My. Goodness. What a great lesson! Melissa, thank you for sharing Stacy’s “typo”. I love love love the thought about Christ ‘covering’ us. Whew! Beautiful. xo

  387. Nanette says:

GRAVE to GRACE. Amazing Grace how sweet the sound. Jesus came “so that” I may live. He died for me, and those that came after. It doesn’t take much spiritual understanding to know that all of this was done based on GOD’s expression of LOVE for me and you. He has given us the power of a sound mind and His WORD is so powerful that the Bible describes it as a Lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. We must study to show thine self approved. He came full of GRACE.

  388. From the Grave to Grace: what a wonderful concept. God covered us with His Grace by sending his Son to die on the cross. Now we have eternal life and not the grave.

  389. Sara C. says:

What an awesome message!!!! And a powerful visual!!!! Thanks so much for sharing what God showed you Stacy!!!! It really spoke to my heart that we are so blessed!!!! God is so good!!!

  390. Kendra Bozard says:

That message gave me chills!!! What an awesome way to think of it. Thanks so much for this. Something that I am definitely going to share with the hubby! Jesus came SO THAT we can experience God’s Grace. What an awesome thought. Somebody as inconsequential as me!!!! So glad for this gift (and it truly is a gift) that we are given. Thank you God for this life you have given me, SO THAT I might be able to know You and love You and share Your love with others!

  391. NagQuita Winfield says:

What a powerful message and video. Thank you so much for that image as well. That part of the chapter also stuck a cord with me when I read it.

  392. Rachel Sullivan says:

WOW! IS this powerful or what? So grateful to live in a day and age where we can share our love for Jesus, and the messages He speaks to us on such a powerful, widespread platform. Thanks for sharing with us : )

  393. Jennifer Goodnite says:

It is so weird how a God can speak through anything. Even a simple text message! Our God is AWESOME!

  394. Cheri Nowak says:

As I sit and try to move past the miscarriage of our first child, I ponder that child’s grave in sorrow and hear what The Lord showed you

God chose HIS ONLY Son to go to the grave for ME. If I was the only one who was saved He still would have done it. I’ve been angry over the situation and frustrated at God, but this opens my eyes to the bigger picture.

Thank you! So grateful The Lord used you for this purpose today!!

    • Teresa Watson says:

Cheri may mercy, peace and love be multiplied to you now in this pain and loss and always in your walk with Jesus. Do you know about Mommies With Hope/Teske Drake? Search for it on the web. It is a ministry for Mommies with loss.

  395. serease says:

wow never though of it that way very awesome

  396. Elizabeth Evans says:

Hello! I loved Stacy’s illustration. Christ has covered all of us with His blood. There is nothing that I could ever do to repay God for sending His Son to die for my sins. Praise God!

  397. Carter Thompson says:

I absolutely LOVE that!!! I’m a visual learner so when something is presented in that manner it makes a lasting impression!!!

  398. Awesome illustration! So needed that message today.

  399. The most transformation I have experienced in the last few years has been in the way God has brought GRACE to the forefront of my relationship with Him and with other people! Thank you, Stacy for a new epiphany about the beauty of God’s Grace in our Grace Walk!

  400. From the grave to grace: wow!! These 5 words pack a punch. Thanks for sharing

  401. Sandra Elise says:

I love how God so often speaks to us through our mistakes!

  402. Gail Harless says:

I don’t know what Stacy does at P31, but boy is she ever a gifted teacher!! I’ve asked in Twitter permission to share her video on my FB timeline. Oh my gosh, blog…FB…Twitter…the power of technology!!

  403. Erika MacDiarmid says:

Wow! I was covered in goosebumps when I saw this video! What a powerful message! Thank you!

  404. Kathleen says:

Wow! What a great lesson and awesome visual. I am saving this one for future use. Thanks for sharing!

  405. What a great visual. I have been teaching my third graders about the crucifixion and resurrection over the past 2 weeks. I am going to use this with my kids tomorrow. Thanks!

  406. Teresa Watson says:

Thank you Stacy for listening to the Holy Spirit speak to you truth in a typo! I loved being able to go to the page in the book and see you live and hear you share what God ministered to you.

  407. Haha I noticed you were signing! I work at a Deaf school and sign everywhere I go, no matter where I’m at! I enjoyed your visual and you are so right, He is all around us! Happy Tuesday!

  408. Wow!! Thank you. I’ve been feeling lately that God keeps leading me to the word Grace. I have it written on my chalkboard in my kitchen and have even started my own study of the word through the Bible. So as you can imagine I was drawn to this page in our reading too. Your illustration gave me goose bumps and was another piece to my puzzle. God is so AMAZING!!

  409. Darlene says:

I love this. Somehow seeing the illustration makes you see if more clearly. I am thankful for God’s grace and for saving me from the grave.

  410. Linda L McGraw says:

Love that!!! thank you for sharing such a great reminder.

  411. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how God grabs our attention with seemingly mundane experiences! Grave to Grace – indeed!

  412. What an AMAZING visual. LOVE IT!!!!!!!

  413. Brittany says:

I loved that video that was shared!!! I love how God just sends a message to us like that to help us realize he is there for us!!! I loved the first part about Grace. When I finished reading I cried. I have told several friends including my mom to get this book and read it!!!

  414. Sherry Leilani Allinger says:

Stacy, That is so awesome that Jesus used you to share a message with us. Thank you so much for taking the time to put together the video and diagram it out for us on the whiteboard. Blessings Sherry

  415. I thought the illustration was good. I am thankful that God’s grace is both a gift & free to me.

  416. Beverly Mejia says:

I couldn’t have illustrated it better. The way the C (Christ) covers the V (which points downwards) is a great illustration of what Jesus accomplished for us when he died for our sins. How blessed are we that we are completely enveloped with His love and His grace. We died with Him and rose with Him. When I was reading Part II I too highlighted that section on Page 20 about the thief who asked Jesus to take him where He was going. That was the perfect example of how God’s grace works and I use that story all the time when my non-believing friends ask me about what it means to be saved by the grace of God. It’s still a hard concept for them to grasp because they say well that can’t be fair that the this lived his life in sin and in his last hour He’s saved and doesn’t even have time to redeem himself. Then I say well he doesn’t have to because Jesus already did.

  417. This is really profound yet at the same time really easy to understand. Gods amazing grace is free to all who will receive it.

  418. Katherine O'Rourke says:

    Thanks for sharing Stacy!

  419. Jennifer Vance says:

I loved how the thief did not have to do anything but accept Christ. What a great reminder for when I am feeling guilty about not participating in enough volunteer activities or Bible studies.

  420. Deborah Bradshaw says:

The rivers of water are flowing at. High rage… Omg I love it because I once live it o’ but I ask The Lord to forgive me and to make me new … Yes yes he did all the praise belongs to my lord and savior JESUS CHRIST

  421. Claudia says:

What a great word-picture! Thanks for sharing!

  422. Alice Redmond says:

That was an amazing insight – thank you so much for sharing!

  423. Amber S. says:

Holy Carpe Diam! What a wonderful way to look at the sacrifice that Jesus made to save our souls! Thank you so much for sharing!!!!

  424. Latasha says:

God is a good god. A awesome god. I love you for sharing that Stacy. Beautiful !!!★★★★★!!! I been truly blessed as god used you !!! It proves how god can turn a mess, a storm, a moment into a message. I thank god for using you. And thank proverbs 31 !!!! For their blessings. Stay encouraged.

  425. Terri Satterwhite says:

Stacy – thank you for being so open to God’s message. Just wonderful!

  426. Dawn Witt says:

What a wonderful visual of beautiful message. I am so blessed to be part of this study and to learn from such great people.

  427. Wonderful visual of what Christ did for us, taking us from the grave to graCe. I didn’t get to watch this until 10 p.m. but am still commenting right after I saw the video. Thanks so much for sharing! Great perspective. Great promise!

  428. I am just stopped in my tracks right now…I have never understood grace…I’ve been trying to understand that word and now I think I have a better understanding. Thank You.

  429. Maria Garcia says:

never thought of it like this.. WOW! It is a wonderful thing to be just like that thief on the cross knowing that if we believe in HIM we have his Grace… great visual.. just loving it..

  430. hi ladies,
how did everyone respond to the 1st question on page 22??

  431. That visual was perfect! I am such a visual person and that is a way I will always be able to remember what grace is and how it covers all of us!

  432. Kathy LM says:

I love the reminder there is NOTHING I can do to earn God’s grace.

  433. I absolutely loved this. Thanks so much for sharing. Really looking forward to diving deaper in His word with this study.

  434. I was so BLESSED with this video. What an amazing way to end the day… and ponder through the night what an AWESOME God we serve. Simply AMAZING! Thank you for sharing.

  435. Praise God we always have His graCe wrapped around us when we fall “V”!!!!

  436. Oh how I needed that word. Sometimes, I get so caught up in life’s issues, choices, etc. that I forget I’m not in this alone. His covering has undoubtedly kept me in times I wasn’t even aware danger was lurking. I’m grateful that He took me from the Grave to Grace. I am grateful that I am covered… It just seems like meditating on being covered links me directly to “No weapon formed against me shall prosper”, then I think about His omnipotence, His omniscience. The One and Only Living God covers me, protects me. Putting it into that perspective reminds me that because HE is for me, no one can stand against me. There’s so much that links with His covering that it’s amazing. I think about His glory, His splendor, His awesomeness, and then I think about the fact that HE loves me so much that His son died for me so that HE could cover me, and then to know that NOTHING can separate me from HIS love… from HIS covering… Oh how wonderful…

    Thank you Lord!

  437. I love the video . Great reminder of how grace covers us .l love how she said that He is above us and below us and all around us. Wonderful way to show it.

  438. Thanks for the video. What a wonderful visual to help us understand what Christ did for us. How He covers us and is above, below and all around us. Never thought of it in that way.

  439. Stephanie says:

Yes, it “blessed my socks off”
I was, am totally blessed by this video. It was very to the point. Most times we make things so hard for ourselves to understand and then comes something simple and “BOOM” it knocks you off your feet. I loved “Grave to Grace”

  440. Thanks for the revelation of the grave to grace!Amazing how God works all things together for good….

  441. I seriously got chills after I watched that video! I so easily get caught up in the “struggles” of my daily life and I all too often forget that I am covered by Christ. The “C” covering the “v” was really something I needed to see today to be reminded that God loves all of us and gives us all the gift of grace!

  442. Check out “Amazing Grace” sung by Allen Jackson. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogxLNlgKM8c

  443. Kelsey Ketelsen says:

Absolutely love when He takes our typos and turns them into His biggest AHA moments!! Brilliant! This one is brilliant – thanks for sharing it.

  444. Gwendolyn Gibson says:

From Grave to Grace, that really summed up what Jesus did for me. When trials and every day hits me, I can easily forget this and all that God provided for me to be empowered. This week, I am going to do Proverbs 4:20 – Daughter pay attention to what is said and keep the words before your eyes… (my paraphrase) and remember Jesus delivered you from the Grave (all things dead or designed to destroy you) and provided access to Grace (Gods unmerited favor) to empower everything I do.

    • That is great Gwendolyn! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with us. Your definition of grave is very good! Also the thought bout God’s grace empowering everything we do. Must stop ad think about that. 🙂 God continue to bless you throughout this study.

  445. lynn van rensburg says:

Hi i am from south africa and wow on the post and commemts our father is truly living inside of us and is alive.love being part of this study !

  446. Thank you Stacy and Melissa for sharing this with us. It is a wonderful reminder of what Christ did for me..

  447. Amy Pritz says:

This means so much to me. I am having the hardest time of my life right now taking my thoughts captive and not “feeling” like a failure outside the will of God. As I read back over this, I would have so many encouraging words to another saying this. But I often get stuck inside my own head and can’t seem to see truth. This was a blessing. Thank you!

  448. Thank you for sharing that illustration, Stacy. That is so humbling to be reminded of Christ’s grace and what an amazing illustration to use to witness to others. It was a message I needed to hear myself today.

  449. I highlighted the exact same paragraph and then read it to my husband. His men’s’ group is big on what you do…. Bible studies, leading others to Christ, etc. he’s always felt guilty that he doesn’t do “enough”, so this was special to him too.

  450. Desirae Blythe says:

Definitely loved the illustration. So much so I put it in my notes for today’s study. From grave to Grace!

  451. Thank you Stacy for sharing. It is absolutely beautiful and yet simple. God is so amazing and shows us that every day! I am so blessed to be a part of this amazing Bible study with all of you amazing women. I look so forward everyday to my time spent with God and his word!

  452. Misty Cooper says:

wow that is so awesome!the way God uses everyday minial things to remind us! thank you so much for sharing!

  453. I think that is amazing. He died for us just so that we could live again, by His grace.

  454. Desiree says:

YES YES YES YES!!!! Love it and it brought me to tears. When God speaks to u it is such a blessing to others.

  455. Tura klepfer says:

Wow,wow, wow! So amazing! Thank you Stacy for that insight! God bless you. Had not thought of that like that. Just beautiful.

  456. Elaine Taylor says:

It is amazing that God gave us the gift of grace and we do not have to do anything to deserve it. It was a great illustration of how grace works to save us from the grave.

  457. Wow! Love visual illustrations…and, the way God can bring us little nuggets of truth in the simplest, everyday occurrences…even in typos!

  458. Great chapter. I love the illustration and how the study has me digging into the Word!

  459. Folasade says:

Thanks Tracey for that clip on Grace. Interesting how a little typographical error can bring such inspiration. Quite amazing and CHRIST’S death on the cross has truly brought us AMAZING GRACE.

  460. Angela Rogers says:

Love that! I get discouraged whenever I mess up, and sometimes it causes me to stop trying all together. Grace reminds me that I don’t have to be perfect. God’s love, is God’s love. It’s given to me because of grace. I don’t have to earn it.

  461. What an AWESOME revelation from God! Thanks for sharing.

  462. Rosie from TX says:

GM! Just watched the video and it was amazing. Jesus paid the ultimate price for our salvation. Love the object lesson and can’t wait to share with my youth group and others! Be blessed!

  463. Nancy Cairo says:

When you replaced the C around the V and said Jesus was covering us so we don’t need to go below – was amazing.
    Helped understand it

  464. Melanie says:

WOW!! I love that! What a perfect illustration!

  465. I have always believed that truth but never have I seen it illustrated that way. So clear and compelling. And so easy to understand and explain to others. Thanks for being obedient and sharing.

  466. Wow Stacy talk about DIVINE inspiration! Even through our technology he gives us insight ! That is awesome and yes AMAZING!! I love it and will remember it always ! Thanks for sharing! Have a great day !!

  467. Cindy Uhrick says:

Awesome image! Love this new perspective on grace.

  468. Thank you for sharing this with us. The image has stated with me all day and into today. I wrote it in my book because I think that it is so important to remember exactly what you said. Christ coveres me… And takes care of the grave!

  469. awesome video! Awesome message, thanks for sharing. This is a great way to start the day!!

  470. Judy O'Connell says:

I found this to be a beautiful and practical means of describing the Gospel. It can be drawn on a napkin in a restaurant since it is that Easy! I reflected how Christianity is the ONLY religion/worldview that employs GRACE. So, why not use that word as the main way to describe the Gospel?! 🙂 (grace will need to be expounded on for many people — but that is doable too, of course) 🙂 ….. Absolutely beautiful! I am sharing that email with many friends. God bless!!

  471. Thanks so much for being obedient & sharing, I have literally got “goosebumps” head to toe :). With Easter just around the corner, I’ve been talking with my 5 year old daughter & 8 year old son about “what Easter is really about”.
GRAVE to GRACE….I’ve never seen such a beautiful C ….. :). I’m so excited to show my kids this!

  472. Danielle says:

Stacy, that was awesome. Thanks so much for sharing with us.

  473. Kim Johns says:

WOW! Funny how we can know things for a very long time, but it doesn’t always truly sink in. I have always struggled with understanding what the word “grace” really means and encompasses. Well no more! Thank you Stacy and your clumsy fingers (lol, we know God caused your fingers to make that typo)!

  474. From Grave to Grace! Your message filled me with so much joy. God speaks through us in the little things (in a whisper). We so often believe that God will speak to us in some great momentous clap of thunder. Thank you for listening for his voice and sharing it with us.

  475. Your video left an impression with me perhaps more than I realized initially. The “catchphrase”, grave to grace keeps popping into my head since I viewed the video last evening. Which of course leads me to review what you said & think through it again. That is a good thing☺ Live in His Light & Love, Sally

  476. My eyes are so filled with tears right now I only hope I can see to type this out! Such a beautiful but simple illustration and exactly spot on! I just finished a 72hr Christian camp as a team member and watched the understanding of Grace pour over some thirsty women, this would have been an eye-opener for them too. Praising God for loving us so much and thanking Jesus for being willing to cover my downward spiral with Grace…

  477. I love this explanation. Wow what an awesome divine message you received and shared with us. Thank you for that!

  478. Jannell says:

WOW! I got goose bumps from watching this!

  479. That is so awesome! I love how God works sometimes. Takes a typo to create a message. Out of the Grave, and by Grace we are SAVED! Thank you so much for sharing!

  480. Awesome! I love it! Thanks for sharing that revelation!

  481. What an great concept. I live the grace covering the grave. Beautiful. Thank you

  482. Robin Easter says:

I was so blown away by your interpretation of the grave and Grace… Thanks for sharing your revelation.

  483. Perfect message and reminder for us at Easter time! It’s amazing how God works through something as simple as typing on a cell phone. I love it!! Thank you!

  484. Gabrielle says:

Thank you for the inspiration and encouragement. I have been so busy and so distracted that by the time i get a moment its way past my bed time. I am going to MAKE time to really give this study my all. I can relate to the video about being drawn to this study, this isn’t a website I normally follow but for while searching for a bible study I came across this website and the timing and the study couldn’t have happened at a better time. I am looking forward to diving in tonight 🙂

  485. Wow what a powerful message! This brings me such comfort as a grieve the loss of my grandfather this week. Going through the process there is Joy that he is now in heaven in his eternal life…he has received the GRACE of God and is no longer in the GRAVE but in heaven. I am going through anger that he is no longer with us as well as sadness…and I am also going through doubt. I have never really experienced doubt before but I truly believe this study is here and now to remind me not to doubt not to fear! Thank you for sharing this with us.

    • so sorry for your loss, Mindy. I do believe, as you said, that God gives us what we need, when we need it. Very glad you were led to this study right now. Praying for peace and understanding for you.

  486. Teresa Case says:

What an amazing word picture (literally!). To see that Christ HAS taken us from the grave and covers us with His grace. Thank you for sharing this with us. It is neat to see that we can learn Gospel lessons from seeming “mistakes.”

  487. Crystal Stevenson says:

WOW!!!! I love that idea! From Grave to Grace. There are many times that I don’t feel worthy of the love or forgiveness that God gives but after watching that video, I should not worry. God gives his grace to me and everyone else no matter what, even when we are already heading to the Grave (so to speak)!! I love that she received that message from God. There are no coincidence so these little things that happen are messages from God. I started reading a book called Godwinks or something like that which talks about coincidence or God talking to us!!! Thanks for the very cool message today!!!

  488. Wow, that was super cool! Thank you for sharing!

  489. Hey Stacy!..This is Sheila from Portsmouth Keim Ctr. What a great illustration of the “C” covering our “v’s”. From the grave to grace…you look great doing your thing on youTube and also for the Proverbs 31 OBS group!! GREAT JOB!!

    • Stacy Lowe, Proverbs 31 Ministries OBS Team says:

Hey there! I just saw you 🙂 And thank you for your sweet comments. Love you, friend!

  490. Michele Thomas says:

I know I am a day late, but I just think that is a beautiful representation of how God can speak to us through anything. And how wonderful a gift we have been given! Thank you for sharing that with us!

  491. That is really neat, Stacy. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. We are surrounded by grace; so thankful for that! God continue to bless you!

  492. Tiffanie says:

    Stacy
I LOVE your interpretation of Grave to Grace.. very powerful. One of the podcast sermons I listen to was recently discussing how the longer we are a christian, the more we realize how wonderful this gift really is.. SO very true!

  493. Lyndsey says:

    Love it!

  494. LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I am actually thinking of a song using that now. I’ll make sure I credit Stacy in 10 years. LOL (Joking at myself, since I never finish my songs!)
I really wanted to share this video with others who aren’t in the Bible Study yet. Maybe to encourage them to join? Because it’s amazing and wonderful.
When I tried, it said “This is an unlisted video. Share with caution.” And I don’t want to share something that isn’t supposed to be shared. Thoughts?
    God bless!

    • Stacy Lowe, Proverbs 31 Ministries OBS Team says:

Hey Jenn! I’m so glad you liked it! If you write a song with it, be sure to let me know. I’d love to hear it! 🙂 And you are welcome to share the video. I always set my videos to unlisted because…well, just because, I guess, lol! But you are more than welcome to share it. Thanks again 🙂

  495. Jenise Shupe says:

I so very much needed to hear these words today. Thank you so much for sharing with us!

  496. Amanda Peck says:

I love this, thanks for sharing! Grave to Grace, so true! “Who the Son makes free, is free indeed” John 8:36. All the verses in Romans chapters 6-8 on freedom from sin go with this. It’s so neat how God works! I was just reading about Lazarus yesterday and in our Bible study book. And then today on the idisciple app on my phone; I heard about the story again. I didn’t know what exactly the sermon by Pastor Louie Giglio was going to be about. It only had a short description, nothing talking about Lazarus. It’s called “A Glorious Collision.” And in the very beginning it talks about how Lazarus was bound by grave clothes and Jesus spoke saying “let him go.” Pastor Giglio was talking about how we are bound by sin until we come to Jesus. He mentioned the story of Moses, how God used Moses, a murderer, to talk to Pharoh. God promised to keep Him safe and the people. But when the people saw the army and Moses asked who was coming with him. Only 2 said yes and 10 said no. How we shouldn’t follow the majority (people),but should follow the minority (Jesus). We don’t take anything with us when we die. So don’t be concerned about being successful in the world and gaining possessions. But be successful for Jesus. “For when he dies he shall carry nothing away; His glory shall not descend after him.” Psalm 49:17 God has been speaking to me about helping others, in particular helping orphans financially. Matt. 6:31-32 shows that God will provide and his call is James 1:27″to visit the orphans and widows in their trouble.” and Matt. 18:5 spoke to me as well. Pages 20-23 spoke to me about my freedom in Christ, which I am very thankful for! But I don’t live in it, every day as I should. Making adjustments brings me closer to God, which is where I want to be!

  497. That is such a good way to look @ the word grace and know how Christ is there for us in our lives. I love it and will always think about this when I hear that word.

  498. WOW! Thank you Stacy! What a wonderful message!

  499. Martha (Small Group 42) says:

Thank you Stacy for sharing! I will remember this. So very thankful for Grace! <3

  500. Sandra Vermaat says:

That is so amazing. From the grave Jesus gives us the grace we need to live the way He wants us to live. This truly blessed me today. Jesus does cover us so we can be a child of God. Thanks for this blessing.

  501. Dona Miller says:

How awesome to take a simple thought to something so profound! I pictured Christ going to the grave for us, and rising and giving us Grace! By changing the graVe to GraCe he covered our sins completely. Thank you to Jesus for lifting me from the grave and allowing me to experience Your Grace.

  502. Thank you Stacy! What a wonderful mistake you found! I will certainly remember “from GRAVE to GRACE”.

  503. That is so awesome, and we take it for granted so often. Thank you Jesus for your grace.

  504. Awesome! Now this excites me to keep on studying the Good Book. I was and am excited to see what God has in store for all of us during this Study. This is my first online to be apart of. Thank you for the grave to grace very wonderful.

  505. Melissa Wallen says:

I love the from grave to grace story. And so easy to remember because it is catchy. I actually imagined a little more when I watched her circle the v with a c. Not only does that show a covering, it also shows a barrier keeping us from going “down” to the wrong place AND it leaves an opening ahead so we can MOVE ahead in what God has planned for us. I am so glad you shared!

  506. Christie Richardson says:

Hi Stacy! What a great message you received and shared. It is amazing at how God’s message injects itself into our lives to change our thought process and interpretation of information. It becomes simply understood at this point. Thanks for sharing!
    Christie

  507. Love this illustration!! So thankful God’s grace is not dependent upon me! To think about where I would be without God’s grace covering me, I can not imagine!!

  508. Phaedra Alwell says:

I love that! That is so cool! Praise the Lord he covered us and now we can live lives of grace. 🙂
    Thanks for sharing.

  509. Micah Dodd says:

Such an amazing insight! I have to admit, I’ve been getting so much out of this Bible study already, but that’s a new thought/insight on the subject of grace that I hadn’t thought about. I think that’s the point, that we are covered. I think sometimes when you’ve been following Christ for a while, we can kinda lose the newness and excitement of exactly what He’s done for us. This is an incredible reminder of just how amazing our God truly is!

  510. Teresa Hagood says:

This just blew me away! What an awesome example of Gods unfailing love! I LOVE every single study that P31 has offered. Thank you!

  511. Jane Dunn says:

Wow!! Just Wow!!! That completely blew me away. I love the concept that Jesus has us covered so we don’t have to go back to the grave. I love the leap you made from grave to grace!! And I KNOW that I am here and doing God’s work daily purely through his grace!! From GRAVE to GRACE…something I won’t forget in a hurry. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, Stacy 🙂

  512. Such an amazing revelation. I am always amazed when God speaks like that. Thank you for that sweet blessing. My heart desires to be more like that. Receive and give……give and receive.

  513. the fact that Jesus would forgive the man beside him on the cross, knowing that he would never impact the kingdom or bring one other person to Christ shows me how much God wants each of us WITH Him, how much He values and treasures each of us, and desires to spend time with each of His precious children. I am a precious child of God! what a revelation!

  514. Susan Boulio says:

What an awesome insight Jesus has given Stacy, that should be on a t-shirt (I want one)! You’re rocking this study Stacy!

  515. Absolutely blessed by that video Grave to Grace. His love (& grace) certainly does surround us! This Bible study has already touched me & I can’t wait to find out what’s next.

  516. What an awesome realization! Study has been more than what I ever imagined. Thank you for this study and this video. Will remember for life.

  517. What an amazing thought – Grave to Grace – God covering me. ME! I can barely take it in sometimes. The timing of this bible study is life altering for me right now. I have been in many bible studies but never an online study. I watched Wendy’s video last night as well and was close to tears at how her words of encouragement and love for God. I forget now what the term was she used – something revelation – successive revelation maybe – very powerful stuff. Thank you both for your words and love of the Lord that you share with us. God Bless all of you and your ministry.

  518. Sarah Biuso says:

My socks are off!! 🙂 Thank you for sharing!

  519. That was awesome, I will keep it close to my heart and think on it.

  520. Katherine says:

LOVE the visual!!! That is awesome and creative; and it sticks w/u!! Will share!!

  521. Amazing . . . thank you so much for sharing! The visual of the C surrounding the v was inspired – thank you Jesus!!

  522. Wow. From grave to grace because of Jesus. Don’t you love the way He makes the simple so profound? Thank you. I love this study!

  523. Barb Schneider says:

I love this analogy. I am really enjoying this OBS, thank you!

  524. Absolutely love this! Trivial moment turned into something magnificent! So many of us can now share this great idea grave to grace =)

  525. I absolutely love the visual of the grave to grace. It helps me embrace the understanding that God has covered me. I am in His protection program and nothing can get to me unless it comes through Him. That is amazingly wonderful to me. Thank you for sharing.

  526. a.maz.ing! so glad I was able to be apart of this!

  527. Wow. I love it when we recognize the messages that He is trying to send us. Beautiful.

  528. Andrea LaPoint says:

I found this so amazing…something so simple. I love when Jesus reveals ideas to us through our daily lives. Thank you for sharing…will love sharing this with others. <3

  529. Cheryl Smith says:

I interpreted for the deaf for several years so I recognized what you were doing. Anyway, that was really cool! I guess the whole idea of being wanted that I got from that is what made the biggest impact. He didn’t think I was a nuisance and did it anyway.

  530. Thanks for sharing your Grave to Grace text it is a great visual.

  531. Leigh Belin says:

After reading Mondays lesson and meditating on God’s Grace and what it means to mean me, I wanted to share with you something I did 3 weeks ago…

I will be turning 50 in July and have thought a lot about getting a tattoo over the years but never could decide on anything that really meant something to me so I never did it. I still had that desire to get one but decided if I was going to do it, I should before I turned 50! This may sound crazy (my boys thought I had lost my mind) but I drew what I wanted and went to the tattoo place and I got my first tattoo…
It’s the word GRACE inside the infinity symbol! To me, it stands for God’s infinite Grace! I LOVE my new tattoo ( on my left wrist) and what it symbolizes to me! I have no regrets, especially after reading and studying today’s lesson! You my not approve of tattoos but to me it’s a reminder everyday of God’s free gift to us, not because we did anything or we deserve it, but because of what Jesus did for us!

    • Lisa Bolan says:

That is beautiful, Leigh! I just got a tattoo a few months ago (I’m 43) on my foot which is a heart with a cross in the middle and the word Beloved written on the side of the heart. It reminds me that Christ is the center of my life and that He calls me Beloved. It is a decision that I don’t regret in the least…I love that I have this constant reminder, and that I can share with others what it means to me.

  532. Janet Kramer says:

I never thought about the Grave to Grace. Very cool!

  533. Janet Kramer says:

    I enjoyed today’s video.

  534. What a beautiful way of describing Christ’s love and provision for all of us.

  535. Sunnygirl says:

That was an AMAZING message! You got it Stacy! wow! I believe also that Grace is free and can’t be earned. How wonderful God is for us! I am so grateful and thankful for your message. May the Lord bless you and yours! I can’t wait to get the book!!!

  536. Lisa Bolan says:

LOVED the image of Christ covering us (above, below, totally surrounding)…a visual lesson I can use with my kids (both at home and the ones at youth group!). Thank you for being willing to share what God has given you. Who knows how many will be impacted by this amazing Truth using this grave/grace visual?!?!

  537. Valerie Lliteras says:

I really enjoyed watching this video. The message is so powerful in so many ways! I love how from a mistyped letter you got this wonderful message that you were able to share with all of us. It has brought a whole new meaning to what I read and how I viewed what was written that I read.

    Thank you for sharing this!

  538. I am a really visual person, so the image of the “C” drawn over the “v” will stick with me! Thank you!!!

  539. Hello everyone, I am playing catch up again with this Bible study!! Please friends pray for me, I am having a really hard time staying on track. Thank You All! Be Blessed!

  540. I apologize, but am catching up as I was concluding another Bible study last week. I LOVE this grave to grace concept and the illustration Stacy provided! How cool is God! Starting this study this week (a week late for me), I believe was a God-inteneded delay for me because our Pastor actually laid the foundtion for this study in his sermon yesterday- again, how cool is God (the Holy Spirit) to know just what we need to prepare our hearts to receive the most out of His Word!

    • And yes….it blessed my socks off! Great way to start the Holy week! For God so Loved….from grave to grace!

  541. From grave to grace….so amazing! Made me tear up also thinking of how loved we truly are!

  542. I love the visual of seeing the letter “c” cover the “v” of going into the grave.

  543. Rita Wuerflein says:

What a wonderful illustration of Grace.
I have always explained Grace as
    God’s
    Riches
    AT
    Christ’s
    Expense
But, to think he took us from the grave and covered us with his GRACE from the past, present and future sins is very exciting!!! Thank you for sharing that. Praise the Lord for his mercy and love for each one
of us. Helps me as I share with others the love of Christ.

  544. Lisa Richardson says:

I saved all the emails from this bible study. I didn’t have time when y’all were doing it, but I knew that I wanted to do this study. Actually, I encouraged my bible study leader to do this study on Wednesday nights. Anyway, all that to say, I am watching the videos now and I am so thankful that I kept them. This was an amazing illustration. I got goose bumps watching it and when I share it. I love it, thank you so much.

  545. Steph Fruhling says:

It means that I have been won in Christ!i have the hope of Jesus forever even though I still may make wrong choices and sin.

  546. On wednesdays I’m square

  547. God’s part is grace. Ours is faith.
