The “Why” Behind Our Next Study

“Listen, Love, Repeat” Study Leader, Nicki Koziarz | Proverbs 31 Online Bible Studies | #ListenLoveRepeat #P31OBS

Hi OBSers (old and new)! I’m Nicki Koziarz, and I’m here to tell you the “why” behind our next study, Listen, Love, Repeat! Hopefully after we’re through, you’ll join me (if you haven’t already signed up).

I remember the day Karen Ehman called to tell me about this concept she was working on for her next book. I was in my bedroom folding clothes, fighting back the tears as she was talking. I knew this message was exactly what our world was going to need.

And as soon as I hung up the phone with her I thought … I want THAT.

That ability to listen, love and repeat it daily, endlessly and with a whole heart.

We have such an opportunity right now. It seems like there’s a lot of darkness around.

But it’s in the darkest places where people who love God have the best opportunity … to shine the brightest!

The atmosphere can change in any room we walk into. We can be the hope others need so much. We can bring the movement of being the goodness of Jesus to our world!

So today, I want to take those three words: Listen, Love, Repeat … and share with you how they are encouraging me to do this:

LISTEN:
We are so busy! We’ve convinced ourselves that to be busy is to be effective. So I love that this message is challenging me to stop and LISTEN to the world around me. Listen to what others are in need of, listen to what others love so I can love them well and listen to the prompts God is putting in my heart.

LOVE:
And as I’m listening well, I’m discovering what it really means to LOVE others well. Not the way I want to love them, but the way they need to be loved. There’s a difference. And most of the time the latter is a little more stretching, because it makes me stop thinking of MYSELF.

REPEAT:
Do we ever get this thing totally right? Are we ever finished living a life of listening and loving? No! There’s always more room for God to stretch our arms a little wider. So, REPEAT. And REPEAT. And … repeat.

The next Proverbs 31 Online Bible Study is on the book, "Listen, Love, Repeat" by Karen Ehman! Study starts April 3. Learn more and sign up here --> http://www.proverbs31.org/online-bible-studies/ #ListenLoveRepeat #P31OBS

This truly a study that can help me to Learn How God wants me to Listen to another as HE WANTS.. Not what I think I hear and How others Need to be Loved.. I Always pray and Ask God to help someone because He truly knows their hearts.. Not thinking that He can USE ME to Listen and Love HOW HE KNOWS THEIR DEEP NEEDS,.TRULY GOD does use His Children to help one another HIS WAY..NOT MINE.. And Nicki may I say You have an inviting smile, a kind one to draw others in.. Thank you and I am Blessed to be a part of this study..😊

    • Marta Sparks says:

I GUESS what I’m needing in one way is to Help others In God’s way..Not how I Myself would choose to help.. Look to His Word, deeper, pray and Humbly ask GOD..Not MY ways but YOURS,. HE KNOWS THEIR NEED not what I think they need.. I am human,.He is Our Great ‘I AM’ HOLY ALL KNOWING.. OH YES!! I WANT GO BE FOREVER CHANGED BY OUR FATHER!!

I’m excited for my first proverbs 31 online study!!!

      • Proverbs 31 Online Bible Studies says:

Elizabeth , We are so happy you joined us! If you have any questions please let us know! Always remember ” Your life is crazy but your Bible study doesn’t have to be! What is one thing or truth you would like to learn from our study Journey?

        • So, I’m in this Recovery therapy. I’m there because if binge eating (😞☹️). My coping skill tus faith and prayer that God will allow me to find my peace in him and not in food. Others, however, are hopeless, they think they are failures and no matter what, they will never win the battle.

I started this study because I want to listen and live these people, I want to tell them about Jesus and how He sees them and loves them and is willing to deliver them if they just trust them. We are all so broken, but I want to learn how to minister to them through this Bible study. When they break down and cry and want to share with them what I have learn from you!

          • Please ignore my previous message, it’s full of typos. Here is the correct one:

Thank you for sharing, Blandina. We are so glad you are here. God will use you and your story to touch others’ lives! We look forward to studying with you, blessings!

      • I am looking forward to learn not to be self endulged, to open my heart so we can continue to grow in faith.

      • I am looking forward to learning to be a better listener and love others selflessly.

    • Leslie Limardo says:

I’m really excited for this study. I’m one of those talkers. I talk alot and I always have something to say. But I pray that the Lord place a muzzle on this mouth so I can listen, listen listen! I admire listeners. It’s a skill to be developed and I’m excited to learn to listen and love!

      • Karen Bee says:

Oh, I am a talker, too!! Imagine how annoying I am to people!!!! We are not alone.:)

        • Patty Robinson says:

Ditto! I’m definitely a talker too! I’ve got a lot to learn about effective listening, then see how God will work in my heart as a result of better listening skills! Can’t wait to begin this journey with all of you!

    • Kimberlie says:

I am looking forward to this study in hopes of beginning a work in me that will align me with God’s plan for me as a follower of Christ so I can be a light to others.

    • I have been studying on hearing God speak to me through the Holy Spirit and through other people and then loving others. I can’t get enough of these two topics and know that is what God wants from me. Whether I’m listening to His prompting or truly listening to another person , my goal is to love God and people.

    • Hazel Kirby says:

This will be my first online study. I so need help with my relationship with God I’m so hoping that this helps me slow down and be able to listen and hear his voice.

      • Stephanie says:

Love this! Exactly how I feel!💜

      • Proverbs 31 Online Bible Studies Team says:

Welcome, Hazel! You are definitely not alone – just like Stephanie confirmed – and we are so looking forward to growing in this with you!

    • I’m ready to Listen, Love, Repeat, Repeat, Repeat! Praise God!

    • JAVONYA MENDIOLA says:

Morning, All! I am excited about being a part of this study to say the least. I am always well-blessed by ANYTHING the P31 team puts together. They are truly a hard-working squad so if this is your first time with these guys, know that you’re in for a treat! 👌 This study will be truly beneficial to me because I yearn to do better and be so much better than I was yesterday. If there was ever a time in my life that I am ready to forge past the things that have held me back, it is now. People need so much love and I see it so much in adults. But when you haven’t really been educated on LOVE, you do and say what you think you should and it’s not always helpful to the needy soul you know you’re supposed to help. I think the education and the fellowship here will open my eyes and heart and give me some practical tools with which I can help better in the Body of Christ.

      • Proverbs 31 Online Bible Studies Team says:

Thank you Javonya for the sweet words! We are so looking forward to studying and growing in faith with you. We can’t wait to be better at listening and loving!

    • Dana Peila says:

I’m definitely looking forward to learning how to listen to others – not just to respond, but to understand. I’ve really been focusing on listening for God’s guidance in my daily routine and this seems like a great way to tie the two concepts together. I can’t wait to start this study!

    • Nicole Debardelaben says:

How interesting that this showed up in my e-mail this morning? As I was at church on yesterday asking God what my next steps should be? I literally want to take away from this study how our Heavenly Father can help me with just really listening and learning the needs of others and what I can do to really just help. I’m learning that when I help others my life seems to go more smoothly because I’m not so focused on my everyday life challenges, how rewarding that can be… So thank you ladies for offering this awesome study!!!

      • Proverbs 31 Online Bible Studies Team says:

Awesome! Thanks for sharing – we love seeing the way God moves in others’ lives! We are so looking forward to studying with you Nicole!

    • Tina Thomas says:

I have a MIL that is so very hard to love. I seem to be her favorite out of all of her family so I have a job to do. As I have found myself drifting away from her because of her words & actions to all. They are very hard to listen to constantly. She knows about being saved but has a fear of water that she says keeps her from being baptized. I know that that fear would be gone if she truly believed her salvation & baptism is just an excuse.
She is a very hateful gossiper. She is rude to everyone. I know it is because she is so unhappy & miserable with herself. I know that she is lonely, scared & feels unloved. As I, myself was once.
It is so difficult to love her through all this stuff she keeps dishing out. She gets worse with age. She will be 80 this year. She has a fear of dying & no one finding her till several days later as some of our family has been done. Her fear is unwarranted as I live right beside her. We all call to check on her but not everyday. We got her a Lifeline to wear to ease her fears but it has done nothing, as we knew it wouldn’t.
This book will be my personal ‘LIFELINE’! I am thankful this study has come about. My need is desperate. I want to love like Jesus does. I want to do like He will. I need this to refresh my mind, heart & soul. I need to reconnect with His love for all & repeat it as often as I can even till death takes me home.
Please, know that I will NOT consider me a winner in this. Only to GOD will I give this glory! A miracle I will see one day or not. It does not matter to me. This study is going to be a great time!
      Thank you!

      • Your mil is going through a most difficult time. She has lost dependence and knows that her life is coming to an end. Yes, she is afraid of what’s to come. Know that you have done your best for her. Difficult as it is try to continue to show God’s love as best you can. He knows and will bless you for your patience and perseverance. Have walked this path before! Praying for you peace and strength as you walk your path.

      • Patty Robinson says:

Tina, I work with some very difficult and challenging personality types (and I work in a church – imagine that!). Seems like the women are in competition for “who has the most control” over everything and everybody! I PRAY DAILY for: Patience, Tolerance, Kindness and Love! Of course, there are times when I’m exhausted and let my guard down that I snap back, and I’m sure due to “the flesh” that there will be more. But, I do hope to learn to first, remain calm, then, to listen better, and try to understand from their perspective instead of automatically throwing my defenses up! Happy to travel with journey with you!

    • I would like to love everyone as God did.

    • Irrie Campbell says:

This sounds like it’s going to be wonderful. It sounds like we all need. I know I don’t listen enough or love enough.

    • Rebecca Jeane says:

I too want to learn to listen how God wants me to listen instead of my way. Too often I find myself half listening or waiting to talk. I need to learn to listen fully, with my heart.

    • Pick me, pick me. I have a heart for women who are hurting and feeling empty. Only Jesus can fill that void. I have made many mistakes but God is so good at using them for our good and His glory. The world is a dark place with a heaviness and I need to learn how to love like Him so other come to know Him and grow in a relationship with Him. This sounds like just what I need. It’s not about me, it’s all about Him and He is LOVE.

  2. Vonda Bryant says:

I have always considered myself to be a good listener but there is always room for improvement. Love is such a powerful word and so often misleading. This subject is what I can not wait to study more of. I can not wrap my mind around the thought of just how much God loves me sometimes and would love to grow in this area of loving others no matter how much they have hurt me emotionally. I truly look forward to this study!!

  3. Kristen Bilderback says:

I’m looking forward to the loving. Taking my eyes off myself. Thinking of others.

  4. In the craziness of life , I’m looking forward to focussing on what God would have me do, and finding creative ways of living the around me. X

  5. I am looking for a way to increase my faith and love of God’s word by learning to love people more….

  6. SYLVIA TUCKER says:

I’m so grateful for this upcoming OBS! What I’m looking forward to is the study on “repeat”.
    Sometimes I fail to follow-up, and it’s not because I’m not interested or I don’t care…
I’m definitely seeking God through this study to improve in my love-life towards people.
..for my good, and His glory!
    Praise God!

    • Marsha Dittmeyer says:

Right there with you friend on following up. That is a huge challenge for me. I get way to caught up in work at times and forget to do the simple things.

  7. Sariah Izusqui says:

Listening better to hear messages, love what I’ve been told and go forward with it xx

I am looking forward to this Bible study because I have a hard time loving and really want to learn how to.

    • Proverbs 31 Online Bible Studies Team says:

Nichol, We are excited you are here with us. We hope you prayerfully get what your heart needs during this study!

  9. Angela Harrington says:

This is actually a calling I feel Christ gives to all His followers.

  10. Marie Bonville says:

Listening…I have a hard time listening. Hearing my families needs instead of telling them what they need.

Loving…sometimes my “love” can feel conditional. The spirit is showing me this and wants me to practice unconditional love for others.

Repeat…so many times I start something and don’t see it through…from habit to way of life…

Excited to see how this study can prepare my heart to display gods love and grace!

  11. Gina Giraldin says:

Learning how to listen better to my daughter so that I can lover her the way SHE NEEDS, not MY way.

  12. Rosalinda Avilez says:

I can’t wait for this study. I really believe this book Listen Love Repeat has come at a perfect timing.

  13. Jennifer Kimmins says:

As a nurse working overnights, I don’t get much downtime. I’m always busy with work over taking care of my family. This new study is perfect for the busy mom of 3.

    • I Am also a nurse in the emergency department and have found that so often we get caught up in the everyday and I often forget to listen completely to my patients. I need to learn to slow down and listen more effectively and love with a more open heart.

  14. Laurie Lawrence-Pepin says:

To continue loving my friend who hurts me often.

  15. As a busy working mom of 3 active preteen/teen boys our family is always on the go! I’m looking forward to this Bible study because I feel that I’m often too busy to STOP and truly LISTEN. I think this study would provide encouragement (perhaps conviction) in this area of weakness. I desire to be a wife, mother, sister, daughter, teacher, and friend who Listens, Loves, and REPEATS!

  16. Jenna Higgs says:

At my job, I am in a leadership role. Currently we are working 60hr weeks due to high volumes of work, when normally we work 40hr weeks. I have had quite the crummy additive about it and toward anybody I work with. I love people. I love connecting with them and using my testimony to spread seeds of love that God planted in my heart. God spoke to me and told me this additude had to go. I am desperately looking forward to God softening my hardened heart to listen and love.

  17. Ursula Bruno says:

I am so looking forward to all of this Bible Study,
But especially, “Repeat”. Because sometimes I grow weary of repeat, repeat, repeat, but I know that is going to be required of me until the day Jesus calls me home!
I am looking toward repeating with you.
    Blessings

  18. Tathiana says:

Wow! This is what this world needs: more people willing to take their eyes off themselves and put others first. I’m so excited for this bible study 🙂

  19. I work with seniors with Alzheimer’s and other dementia and sometimes I find it difficult to love on caregivers who don’t show for work or take advantage of my sweet boss. I need all the help I can get. And my friend cannot afford to buy the book so I would give one to her.

  20. Pam Loper says:

I’m awake at 2:00 am with my mind racing about different prayer needs and concerns. I landed on the description of this next OBS Bible study and thought perhaps it is precisely what I need to hear… guidance on hearing the Spirit, loving through the Spirit and living it daily!

  21. Susana Hernanadez says:

I cant wait to learn how to repeat and help others. Just like you say not always myself

  22. Linda O. says:

Amen! To this study. The world is dark and lost and being so busy , I believe our time is one of the greatest gifts we can give people. In an age where we text, email, and social media happy bday or even worse, our condolences, to actually give people our time and a listening ear, is a true testament to what our Jesus would do when he was here on earth. Jesus said “they will know you are my disciples by the way you love one another.” People also have different ways they need to be loved, not a cookie cutter way. If you listen closely you will hear from them how they need to be loved. If we are true Christians, this will be a repeated way of life for us until we die and we hear the words from God himself, “well done, good and faithful servant!”

  23. Jessica Rhodes says:

I am looking forward to studying with my sister-in-law in addition to the OBS online community. From there, I always to love to pay it forward by sharing my book with someone else who will benefit from it!

  24. Maureen Y Mckenzie says:

This truly a blessing me just reading this because sometimes we truly do not know how to love and for that reason it hard to love someone else when we don’t even know how to love ourselves. But for the Grace of God he does guide and direct us in Jesus Name.

  25. Too often we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life. It is so important to really listen to others. Many times the disagreements and frustrations that people feel are brought on by miscommunication caused by not listening to what others say. Sometimes they just need someone to listen, but a kind, caring gesture or word of encouragement can mean so much. Knowing how I feel when someone does or says something positive for me, and I would like to be able to help others by doing the same thing for them. It is a win-win situation.

  26. Tia Fletcher says:

There are so many distractions in my life. I rarely listen. I have too many things to do. In my busyness, I often miss out on hearing the voice of God and others. I can’t wait for the study. The title in itself is what I need.

  27. Alicia Buratti says:

    I WANT THAT!! I NEED this 🙌🏽

  28. Michelle says:

To be able to repeat but to do that by listening and loving as we are instructed to. I look forward to learning how to do exactly that.

  29. I am looking forward to learning how to love others how they need to be loved. I have withheld love from others because I needed healing, and now that I have learned to love myself, I am ready to learn how to open my heart to feeling that love for others.

  30. I am looking forward to learning how to be a better Christian woman and really be in the moment. I want to learn how to best be encouraging to others around me and be that joy filled person in there life. I want to be attentive and attune to others and not focused on myself.

  31. Shauna Mueller says:

I cannot wait to be a happier person

  32. Mahogany Kees says:

  33. Vevay Rollings says:

Hi! I would love to receive your book giveaway. I’m a mom of two. I gave my heart to the Lord when I was a child. I very been to church for a long period of life as a child then stopped, started again when my children were little. I stooped again. I really feel strongly the Lord wooing me back to his Word. I want to make a change in my heart, so I can be the light for my family to turn their hearts to Him. Also, I would love to be able to spread his love to my neighbor who I know would love to hear hope, truth & everlasting love!
    Thank you

  34. Rachael Robinson says:

I’m looking forward to daily time in the word and just reminders that loving other people is about what they need and not about what I need! Can’t wait to get started!

  35. Learning to listen, love, repeat. It’s so easy to think we’re listening, but there’s so much noise around us, we sometimes forget how.

  36. Cindy Barton says:

I’m looking forward to learning how to listen and love well. It’s something I have wanted to do, to step out of my comfort zone and touch someone with God’s love. This study is coming at just the right time.

  37. CarolAnn Fletcher says:

I know that one of the biggest things I struggle with is listening. I don’t know if it is my ADD or whether I am scared of saying or doing the wrong thing, but I really struggle with listening.

  38. Elizabeth Bovender says:

I am really looking to reconnecting with my old online study group as we learn to listen more effectively… loving people now matter what We get out of it.. and learn to finally remember that we need sometimes need a repeat moment in our lives when we fully take the time to Understsnd that we aren’t perfect but God still loves us!!!

  39. I am so looking forward to this study! This book is for me. I tend to a little rushed when I want to say something and sometimes I am so eager to say what I need to say that I forget to listen…
    Can’t wait for it.

  40. I am looking forward to this study as I am on a journey of recovery from severe post natal anxiety. During this journey I am learning a new how to Listen, Love and Repeat.

  41. Hi I look forward to learning how to listen and learning more the word of God through this OBS. Can’t wait for the study to start.

  42. I always look forward to the next OBS because I get lost in between when I am on my own. I need the structure our Bible studies provide. But, for this one in particular, my soul does not do well in our on-the-go world. I feel the need to stop, listen and love on people, but then the world tells me, go-go-go. I can’t wait to find out what we will discover on this journey. FYI, our pastor keeps referencing the “I Am” statements and I think, “I know this”.

  43. Willemien says:

How I would love the students at my school to feel welcome, because they experience Jesus when they enter my classroom. How I’d love that for my kids friends that come through our door. How I long for my kids and husband to have me listen and response with the love of God. I wonder if there are any other Dutch girls participating 🙂 Lets team up and hold eachother accountable. I wonder if its possible to follow this study without buying the book, for might not be available in Dutch bookstores.

  44. I’m looking forward to this study for the content, but also because my mom and my two sisters and I will be doing it together – even though we’re spread out from Minnesota to North Carolina to France! I’m so grateful and excited to work through this with them and see what the Lord does in each of us.

  45. I am looking forward to this study so that I can better understand how and why to serve others. Also, I just love having the structure of a group study. Your last study was so much fun!

  46. cynthia elawar says:

I would love to be able to stop and just listen with intent and show that I am interested in what is being said. I would love to respond with Gods love…I need to learn that most of the time what I’m doing can wait, and give my attention to where it is needed, so that my family, grandchild know that they are important.

  47. I’m looking forward to this study to see how others are applying the concepts into their lives.

  48. cynthia elawar says:

I would love to be able to stop and just listen with intent and show that I am interested in what is being said. I would love to respond with Gods love…I need to learn that most of the time what I’m doing can wait, and give my attention to where it is needed, so that my family, grandchildren know that they are important.

  49. I am looking forward to going deeper into my relationship with God being steadfast with my follow through

  50. I always say “it’s not about me” but honestly, I’ve made it a lot about me for quite some time now. As I listen, my mind tends to race ahead to what can I offer to fix things. My prayer is that in this next study I can better learn to listen with a loving openness and wait for the Holy Spirit’s leading, then repeat until I hear clearly.

  51. Michele Davis says:

I am looking forward to making an effort to keep my mouth shut more and to get back to being the great listener I used to be. Social media and cell phones have hurt the person to person conversation and takes to effort out of reaching out to someone hurting.

  52. Christine Pampino says:

This is something I struggle with daily. Even when others treat me badly, I should return their actions with actions of love, the way I would like to be treated. But, there are days when I find myself bitter and grumbling because I feel so alone. I have to constantly remind myself that I’m not alone, I have My Heavenly Father with me. I need to constantly remind myself to listen, love and repeat because maybe, it might just pay off.

  53. Kendra Honea says:

I too am looking forward to learning to listen more to others needs and loving them in a way they need to be loved! I think far too often I love others with my own love language and fail to hear what they need! I can’t wait to start the study!

  54. Rhonda Agnew says:

We’ve been studying this in Sunday School

  55. Cindy Brown says:

In my daily busy world, I need to learn how to listen, love and repeat. Looking forward to this study as I have looked forward to all the Bible Studies so far.

  56. dawn culbreath says:

I would love a free copy. I will do this study in hopes of finding myself and God again.

  57. Tanya Little says:

I am looking forward to this study and some practical applications of really slowing down, listening to God’s Word and others that I encounter everyday so that I can love them how they need to be loved and persevere in it- being that woman that doesn’t quit! Thank you for this encouragement today !

  58. Belinda Gentry says:

As I am retiring the end of March, after 30 years of employment, I want to be encouraged in ways that I can continue to be a light in the darkness. There’s always more room for God to stretch our arms a little wider!!!

  59. Robin Chappelear says:

I know about being too busy! I’m hoping this study will reinforce things I have learned about taking more time for others in a personal way. I tend to go go go, and not have meaningful relationship building time.

  60. Hi!
It will be a wonderful honor to take part in this bible study. I have been struggling to overcome certain obstacles in my life after the death of my mom. The death cause a lot of self image changes, disengagements of family gatherings. I lost love and joy that i hardly can accept people in my life. I need to get back on track i am trying get as much opportunities and information, studies and encouragement to get close to God again like it was before.

  61. Starting with those closest to me and then extending outward, I want to love truly and fully. This book sounds like it will help me to do that.

  62. I need this , we all need this , When we learn we grow and change.

Many times in all the chaos that is happening in the world we just want to know that when we are listened, as an individual we are really truely heard without wanting a comment or a solution. When someone takes true interest in us as a person without preconceived judgement or conclusion and JUST LISTEN that sometimes is enough to know we are really loved. I am a plan A.B,C…Z person I hate standing still so I am always finding a solution when I perceive there to be some kind of problem, most of the tmes when I am in conversation I am preparing an action plan for the person I am chatting to. I want to be a person that will listen with the intent to hear and love not always solve, answering only when there is a DISCERENED need to help solve a problem.

  72. I am so looking forward to learning how to LISTEN. My life can be so chaotic at times and I am always rushing from place to place as well as through my bible study time. 99. Loving well has been a subject God has continually put on my heart these last months. As I find myself at a season that is a struggle, one steeped in a fair amount of loneliness, I find it sometimes hard to love people the ‘way they need to be loved’ instead of handing off the leftovers of my heart. I can’t wait to dive into this study and fill up on God’s word, alongside a dose of fun you ladies always bring.

  100. Candi Young says:

I need this type of study in my life. To live, love and repeat! I work in the medical field as a Registered Medical Assistant and God has places these patients in my life for me to help. It’s hard sometimes but God is always with me.

This is something that my family, co-workers, students, and the people that I come into contact with daily need.

  116. Missy Clendaniel says:

I had not signed up for the study until this morning. My devotion yesterday was this message about being still and listening to hear God and then act with the love of God on others. 127. I’m really looking forward to this study, it’s been a while since I’ve done one. This one seems to be perfect, I really like that it tells us to listen, I need work in that area and I’m hoping this will be a big help. And as I was reading I saw that it guides us to love others in the way that they want. I know in my own life I have a tendency to do things the way I want on my own terms instead of what someone else needs. Can’t wait to get started, I really love these bible studies they’ve helped me a lot.

I want to fully absorb the teachings of this book and incorporate them into my daily life with others and with God.

  138. I know that I am in desperate need to actually stop and take the time to listen. Sometimes I feel like I listen to my children but I was too busy to really hear hear them. Or maybe I was listening and thinking of my response instead of actually hearing my friend’s words. I am looking forward to this study. Thank God for His love and grace.

  167. I am looking forward to listening to my coworkers more so that I can love them the way they need to be and I can enjoy my job again. I would also love to show the ones who don’t believe the way to God so their lives can be filled with the love from God and know what a good father he is.

  192. Hoping to join in on this study. My family has recently discovered that the state has garnished everything in our checking and savings over a year we received a refund and without any notice. Oh, and especially to listen and not be multitasking in my mind while others are talking. 😯👂

I always thought I was a good listener but lately I have realized I may be listening to more bad things than good. I am hoping this study will help me get on track. I am hoping that I will hear God’s voice and direction. I am hoping to reach out to others in love and understanding more and more each day.

  213. It’s so hard to resist the pull of distractions and succumb to the fear of engagement. I so need this study!

  214. Stacey Cohea says:

This sounds exactly like what I need. I recently adopted 3 children from foster care and I already have one biological child. I feel like there isn’t enough of me to go around. I want to listen, love, and repeat well, I teach school all day and then I come home to a house full of extremely needy children emotionally, academically, socially and it’s overwhelming. I want to be the best mom I can.I need to learn how to listen more, love stronger, and repeat throughout the day. I’m excited about this online Bible study. I know of other foster/adoptive mommas that need this as well. id love to bless them with this gift.

  215. stephanie b says:

I’m a listen and repeat girl. I’m not always good at listening in the moment but I’m always striving to do a little bit better or different to get closer to the goal. I also love OBS’!

I am looking forward to learning to REALLY listen to others, so that I may learn how to love them as Christ calls me to do!

  218. I need to be a better listener.

  219. Lori West says:

On December 2, 2016 my husband had a below knee amputation of his right leg. Our lives changed that day – for the better!!! People think we are crazy when we say this so I am looking for MORE from the Lord so I can show, tell, teach people how what seems to be darkness is really light. When you take you out of it and let HIM do it all – I just want to learn more about how to do that – take self away, and be more selfless and show people HIM in this situation in my life and then in EVERY situation in my life.

  220. Elizabeth says:

I am looking forward to really learn on how to listen to the world around me to be able to not only listen but to love those who really need it in that moment.

  225. I am looking forward to be a better version of me by really taking the time to love others!

  226. I want to be a better listener. This world is moving at such a fast pace, and communication has become so abbreviated. How do you share Jesus in a meaningful way in 140 characters or less? I want to learn to slow down and really listen, but that to do list just keeps growing longer.

  227. I need to start listening to people’s needs and love them the way they are created, not listen with the ear to judge and to love as Christ has loved us

  228. I am so excited to see where God leads me. I want to learn to listen more intently on how I can do His will, not how I can make me better. I want to love the way He wants me to. I want to learn how to do it again and again and again. I’m very excited to see where God takes me during this study.

  229. I’m so very excited about this study. One thing I’m hoping to get out of it is to become more aware of what’s going on in people around me. To be able to hear God speak and act accordingly. I also want to love others better. The way they need to be loved not the way I want to love them. I can’t wait for this life giving, life changing experience.

  230. Shawn Marie says:

Listening is so essential, I need to be so much better at it. Stop forming my opinion before I heard the heart of a person, even if it’s in the wrong place or I think/assume I know their agenda. Also listen to holy spirit as to how to respond in HIS love, I’m looking forward to this.

  231. Stephanie Ramey says:

I need to be reminded it is okay to slow down and I want that to be on repeat!!!

  232. Melody smith says:

  238. Ritah Kyomugisha says:

I have spent a lot of time in life doing things ‘my way’, and this has done more harm than good, both to me and others but most importantly,to God. I’m on a lifelong quest to ‘get out of the way’ and let Jesus run the show, after all, it is all about Him. This study sounds like just what I need on this journey.

  239. I KNOW I need to stop just “hearing” and truly listen! I allow the noise of my “busy” life to drown out what’s important.

  240. Jessica Tornow says:

I am really looking forward to this read, being in a culture where it is always go go go, it will be blessing to know that we do need to stop listen, love and repeat. That is something I truly need to work on for myself, love others the way God wants me to love and bless them.

  247. Good morning,

I have recently been listening to a series on freedom and how it’s the root of a lot of evil when missused. This book would be a great follow up to how we should listen, love and repeat. We all have to freedom to make choices and those choices that we make can be of the world and not God, which can lead to bog mistakes, but we all fall short in this area and we should be there for one another lifting each other up with God’s love instead of judging and hating.

  248. I am excited about having a study like this, we are so autonomous in society with technology we don’t reach out to love, who listens we text or email everything. We forget the most important thing is contact with others long gone sitting on the porch chatting with your neighbors, who sits at the dinner table nope we are going through a drive threw we don’t want people to know our name because they could be the boogie monster.
I want to change I want to reach out lover and listen over and over again.. Our precious saviour did.

  249. Beth Griffis says:

Thank you for this email. I need this right now with all the hurting people that surrounds me.

  251. I can’t pick just one single thing I am looking forward to in this study. I’m praying the Lord will show me how to “Be Still” and Listen; to love like He does and to do it over and over again until eternity! I’m really excited to see what He wants to show me to make a difference in my life and the lives of those I love.

  252. Traci Lacayo says:

  255. Tammy Stripling says:

With 4 kids and a full time teacher of 20+ 2nd Graders…I often miss out on much needed adult conversation. I want to be intentional when a need arises for me to hear the hurting or frustrations of others instead of can I call you back…I’m on my way to pick up my 4 kids who are at 4 different schools…or can we talk later, I have this report due for my boss. Because I have the role of LeadTeacher at my school for 2nd Grade it is so important for me to stop, listen and love repeatedly throughout the day to ensure each person feels God’s presence in their daily walk at work.

  271. Sandi Wagner says:

At my age, you would think I would have that “listening” thing down pat….but not so much! I will admit that I have gotten better at it, but a study that focuses on listening….has my name written all over it! I was looking for a study to start, just finished one on my own, so this is perfect timing!

I need this study. It has been a very hard time recently and the desire to build a wall around myself and curl up in a little ball is very real. AND I miss hearing from y’all! OBS is a blessing! I know I am going to learn so much from this study. I am hoping to invite a friend (or two) to join me.
    Blessings!

  362. I need to learn to love people more just as they are and where I find them, and then let God do the rest.

  363. Amanda Magyar says:

I’m looking forward to learning how to be better at listening and loving and continually doing it with my youth group! So many are in situation that are really really tough and I want to be there for them over and over again!

  364. Priscilla says:

People in general are so focused on themselves and their own world they live in that we take for granted the rest of the people who are out there. I have noticed that about where I work. I talk to A LOT of people on one day and if I take more time to listen to their story, maybe we can bless each other in the end. I may not ever see that person again, but when we depart I want to be confident that I’ve given them a little bit of Gods love.

  365. Tasha Enderby says:

I want to be able to put more love into my listening and hopefully learn some better ways to do the repeat. I often get frustrated when I feel I am the only one listening to others and they just want to be heard.

  366. Janice McCormick says:

I am retiring the end of May, moving and leaving a ministry that has blessed me for over 10 years. I am seeking to find where God wants to use me next, and I believe this study will be very valuable.

Looking forward to starting this and to getting back into the study. I have been out of them for awhile.

  370. Joanne Brinkman says:

I know that I need to slow my life down. So many activities and responsibilities. Since I cannot create more time, I believe this study will help me learn how to slow down in the moment and help me focus on really listening to those in my life.

  371. Margo Rodriguez says:

Can’t wait for this study I am currently saving the money for this book and hope to have it before the start date. These are lessons I think we never stop learning.

  372. I would like to be a better listener, the way God wants us to listen to and love others! I like the REPEAT part, as repeating it will soon make it a habit and thus, a daily way of life.

  373. Susan Daggett says:

I want to be able to always respond in love.

  374. Jocelyn Lacey says:

Being from the south, my husband and I relocated to New Jersey nearly 3 years ago, proving that God does indeed have a sense of humor.

Being from the Bible Belt, it has taken a lot of getting used to being in an area of the country that is Godless and anti-Christian. Where we come from it was strange if you didn’t go to church. Here it’s strange if you do.

I would love the honor of this book to guide me as I learn to love those and pray for those who really need it in the worst way.

  375. Tabitha Melton says:

I’m looking forward to the OBS for a couple of reasons. First of all, I’m new to this concept. I have been a part of many Bible Studies with my women’s group at church but not like this. So I’m curious to see how it works! Secondly (and most importantly) I am a wife and mom of 2 girls who is a manager in corporate America. Our lives are BUSY. I often need reminded to SLOW DOWN and truly listen to others. So this study caught my attention. I’m looking forward to learning more about how God wants me to respond in loving others.

  376. I am looking forward to this bible study. I am ready to dig in to see how God wants us to listen and love. Not the way I know how to but the wAy he wants us to.

  377. Looking forward to this study! I’m a recent empty nester amongst many other significant life changes. I’m trying to find my place. Since I don’t have children at home anymore I want and NEED to learn how to love on others and minister to them. I’m hoping this message/study can help me find my new purpose in this season of my life.

  378. I need to learn how to listen more and when I give love, give what they need, not what I want to give or what I think they need.

  379. Ada wasco says:

I want to listen, really listen to what God tells me and others. I had an experience that showed me how we listen when we ask for advice, then off to do our own thing, not thinking any more about it. If advice was given, it wasn’t listened to. It made me pray, that instead of just asking God things, then going on after hearing what He says, I want to really listen. To hear and listen.

  380. I really need to learn to listen more to everyone and the world around me but most importantly I need to learn to listen to God. Of course there is always room to learn to love more.

  381. Heather W Jones says:

Love is not just an emotion but it has to be an action in our lives. I desire to live God’s word out daily, love those around me that are easy to love and the sandpaper people too. We all have sandpaper people in our lives and more often than not, they just need to know someone cares ando loves them.

  382. The listening part is what I’m looking forward to studying about in this study. Life gets so busy that I feel I don’t listen to others the way I should be.

  383. Linda Manning says:

I’m so thankful for your ministry.

  384. I just want to finish, sigh. I seem to get stuck two weeks or so into these studies. I don’t even want to say how many I’ve started and never finished.

  385. Marianne says:

I want to learn to have faith in Jesus that it fills me with peace and security in myself so not only am I a better listener but learn how to not let someone’s negativity affect how I see myself. I struggle with feeling like I’ve always done something wrong.

  386. Kelsey Carnley says:

I want to be able to be more intentional and personable in every day life with everyone I come in contact with. Whether that be a best friend, acquaintance, or a stranger I want them to feel cherished and genuinely cared for throughout their time with me.

  387. I am looking forward to this study as I continue my journey to have a more intimate relationship with God. I want to more deeply love Him and those around me. I want to be able to bring joy and happiness to others in a Chrst-like way. God bless!

  388. Erin M Hess says:

Listening! I look forward to learning how to listen more. Or should I say at all!

  389. I’m looking forward to learning how to love my blended family more… daily… intentionally… repeatably… because I can’t do this in my own strength.

  390. I do want to learn to get the focus off myself and learn to truly listen to others, what they like and need and learn to not be busy

This study goes well with a study our church is doing on relationships. I would love to share this book and study with our small group leader.

  392. Sandy McQurter says:

I am SO looking forward to this study. I LOVE Karen’s approach to subjects, and I am looking forward to learning how to be a better friend, someone who can recognize the needs of others better, and then taking steps in growing deeper in my own listening skills toward the things God is speaking to me.

Learning to listen better is what I hope to achieve and looking forward to this study. 🙂

  396. I want to learn how to be a better listener…to listen with intentionality show that I can focus on loving others well and spreading joy. ❤

  397. Love and loving others has been a huge recurring theme I’ve seen a lot of this past month or two. I need to be aware of all the people and ways He wants me to be showing love to right now. I hope the study further tunes my heart to this.

  398. I know that because of our fleshy human desires, it is always hard to be patient and wait. I’m ready to learn more unique ways to share this ability.

  399. Rebecca Siharath says:

It’s so important to listen! We miss such wonderful things from God and others when we don’t! This sounds like a very encouraging study. It’s so true, we are all so busy. We really do think that to be busy is to be effective! I think this lesson would help us all as wives, mothers, friends, daughters, etc!

  400. I want to learn how to be a better listener…to listen with intentionality so that I can focus on loving others well and spreading joy. ❤

  403. Shirli Carson says:

In this “fast-paced” world we live in, our listening and loving skills are so lacking!!!

  404. I retired in 2014 and one of the things I really wanted to do was to work on being present in the moment. I wanted to be able to give those who I was with my full attention and not be distracted by my phone or my mental to do lists. These changes took “a lot” of effort and concentration for my self diagnosed AADD mind but it has paid off. Now when I am with others I sincerely put them first and give them my full attention and consequently I have found the experience is more fulfilling to me.

  405. I’m looking forward to learning to really listen to others and here their unspoken needs.

  406. Judy Meeks says:

I read the corresponding Proverb each day for my “reminder” of how I to focus on God’s way. I am fairly ok with listening and lovingly encouraging those outside of my immediate family. My passions get in the way when dealing with issues with my girls and even my husband. Growing up as the middle child of seven, I quickly learned how to defend myself and my causes. I need to exercise my control muscle and look forward to strengthening it here. 😀

  407. I’m excited to learn to slow down and be intentional with others.

  408. I am looking froward to this study because I want to listen to what others are really saying & not what I want to hear. When I can do this, I will see the love shine through everything & then repeat what God tells me.

  409. Leah Morris says:

I’m looking forward to this because service last night was based on how to know God’s word and apply to your life.i feel God is sending me a message especially waking to this email. I would like to learn more and also have a friend that we could study this together.

  410. Gina Watwood says:

I am looking forward to the listening because I want to really hear what is being said because I am so busy that I don’t stop and actually listen the way I should.

  411. Helping take care of my grandchildren is a blessing while at the same time a huge responsibility. I argued with God for quite awhile that he really didn’t want me to “mess up” these babies….now I thank him every day for the opportunity I have. Every day is full of challenges & I struggle to be their teacher with love & compassion. Looking forward to what God has in store for me through this study!

  412. Roz Walters says:

This sounds like it would perfectly complement our church’s mission statement of Love God, Love Others, Serve Others. Can’t wait!

  413. A couple of years ago my husband and I were on fire for reaching out community. Then a bunch of things happened including leaving our church, changing jobs, a tragic house fire and losing my grandmother, and it felt we got punched in the gut and lost our breath. We are just getting g our feet back under us but I feel my faith has fallen flat. I can’t seem to hear God like I used to and I’m not seeing the opportunities like I was. I’m excited to focus on others and refocus on listening living and repeating.

  414. I am excited to learn more about what the Bible has to say about this topic! I’m looking forward to this study!

  415. Oh I struggle with coping with certain areas of a dark world, that many times it’s just easier to maintain a hectic schedule so I don’t have to stop and think about it. I know I need to learn to love better during dark times, but I tend to just clam up. I would hope this study could help me soften toward those struggling in dark times rather than trying to ignore the dark times for those who I love.

  416. Cindy Wilson says:

I want to learn to be more aware of those around be, be a better listener an learn ways to intentionally love everyone better.

I have been so consumed with my world and pains that I have missed the most precious thing in the world to me – my children.

  421. Cant wait for this study to start to see the Love of God, Love of Others and how to serve better, and help more people in there walk of faith

  422. I listen well but I am not sure I always hear what people are really saying. I am hoping this study will make me more in tune to what other people’s needs truly are.

  423. I spend a lot of time pleasing people and I would like them to respond in pleasing ways to me in return but often, I am disappointed. The key to this circle could be that I have not truly learned to listen before I serve in love. I would really like to learn how to listen in love and love others how their hearts are begging to be loved.

  424. Karen Bee says:

This is my first on-line study. I have family members that have addiction problems that are calling me for help. I feel like I don’t want to get involved, but I want my response to be a Godly one. I pray this study helps me know how to help them appropriately.

  425. Martha Siler says:

I feel the Christ has been leading me to become a better listener but also in every situation to not only listen but to love that person and have compassion for that person to show God’s Love and to be a witness. that is why I am looking forward to this study on Listen, Love, Repeat.

  426. Thanks for the giveaway! I look forward to this study because honestly, it’s ways easier for me to talk than listen! And I need help with that! Truly listening (without hurry) out of love…

  427. Our daily lives are so busy with go, go, go and relying on technology to communicate. It is my hope that this study will help slow me down and open my eyes and ears to the love that people desire, as well as, be a lighthouse beacon for folks to find God’s love and grace.

  428. I want to learn to talk less and listen more. I always want to work on intentional listening, being distracted less and focusing on them and there needs when they are sharing them.

  429. I would like to learn through this Bible Study more about how to love people when I am consistently being disappointed them. I know we all have faults, I know I do. I just can’t seem to get a handle on letting go of what someone does to me that’s wrong and continue to love them. Thank you.

  430. Nikki Sliger says:

I’m ready to stop and listen. It’s so hard for me to do.

  431. Laci McMillan says:

So I am that person that is too busy to listen, so I am so hoping that I will stop and listen to the needs around me.

  436. Joy Weaver says:

I am excited about another great OBS with Proverbs 31. Yes, I love others but do I love them the way they need to be loved or the way I want to love them? I need to grow in this area of my spiritual life.
    Thank you Proverbs 31.
    Joy

  452. Regina Nnakasolya says:

I looking forward to listening to others so I can even love them better. Often times I have a well thought out way of how to show my love and affection but many a times am disappointed because its never appreciated because its not what they want. For example recently on my best friend birthday I was planning to throw her a party yet she wanted to go for a trip. had i not listened to her musings about this place she had always dreamed of visiting, i would have insisted and ended up thinking she does not appreciated my effort. In the end we had both the party and trip because I listened enough and loved her in a way she wanted to be loved by letting her go for that trip.

  453. I think I needed to hear this today. I usually just delete these messages as I feel I do not have time. But…but, today I opened it and read it. I think I needed to hear this. I need to be present!!! Thank you

Scripture tells us to love others as Jesus loves us, but that isn’t always easy. But it sounds like this book will help us to recognize others’ hurts and needs so we, as Christians, can show Jesus’ compassion to others. I am so on board because I feel God calling me to go out of my comfort zone to spread the Good News of Christ through LOVE.

We simply can’t listen when we are so busy doing…in fact all we do is hear at this point. This promises to be another great and impactful study!

  507. Im looking forward to practicing the process of listen, love, and repeat. Sometimes this is so difficult because we have preconceived ideas about others. So I will add the idea that we first need to Pause, and breath as we come into each present moment with God’s presence as we open our ears and hearts to listen to others. Challenging, yes. But, great for building our strength and Reliance on God. Remembering, it is a practice.

  508. God is taking me through a period right now that he is teaching me to listen to others and loving more. I noticed that people have been more drawn to me and telling me what they need in their lives so I feel this book is right on time for me for more direction to Listen Love and Repeat daily!

  509. LOVE P31 teaching

I’ve recently been moved by the word grace and see this as a chance to grow deeper in my faith and to see God’s grace and to show His love and grace to others.

  582. There are so many great online Bible studies that Proverbs 31 does and I have signed up for many, but I have never completed 1 🙁

  602. Really excited about starting this study !

  603. This is a bible study that I believe the Lord wants me to do because between yesterday and this morning already, I have read or seen three different things pointing me toward loving others. I desperately want to fall so completely in love worh God first, then I know that loving others will flow naturally from loving him deeply.

  604. You are so right, Nicki, our world definitely needs more of us to listen, love and repeat! How much do we feel loved when we are heard? What a timely study from Karen! Can’t wait to get started!

  605. Joy Crandall says:

    Hello!
This past year God has asked me to listen more. Although I have always listened,or so I thought, doing it on purpose has taught me that no listening is about a quiet heart. To listen is to be still. Always a work in progress, this study is perfect timing in a work He has for me. What a perfect study for a world so me focused allowing myself to hear God can only clearly bring love to our world. God is love and never fails. I look forward to this study. God bless !

  606. Linda Miltzow says:

It’s been a week of hurt (Home-goings, long illness, and surgeries) for our church family this week. Listening and loving in each of their languages is crucial for their healing. Teens and young adults today often find that there are few that will really listen to them and love them as they are. Most of the time they know the right choices to make, but just need an outlet for processing their thoughts out loud. We all could use a refresher course on listening and loving all people as Jesus did. Listen, love…repeat! Yes! Yes! Yes!

  607. I’m looking forward to listen, love, repeat.
I often want to encourage and exhort, and there is a time for that, but I’m seeing the need to just listen, love, and repeat. (In my life)
Looking forward to learning and growing all for God’s glory!

  608. Elizabeth Simmons says:

I struggle daily with listening to others solely to listen – not for the chance to reply or rebut – just to hear their heart and to them love them as Christ would, putting judgement aside, fighting the urge to question why they did “this” rather than the obvious correct choice, “that”. Learning the proper way to listen to and love others in this hurting world is an invaluable skill that I cannot wait to dive into. Thank you, ladies, for your desire to serve God by serving us.

  609. Maranda Thompson says:

This has come at the perfect time for me. I find myself alone in my thoughts a lot and when I have a social lunch or text, I have a desire to spew my thoughts with disregard to my friend or co-worker who might not care what I am saying. I know God will always listen. I know God can speak back to my heart. I just don’t take advantage of that. The desire to listen and REALLY listen, not just listen to reply isn’t always on my mind. I am very much looking forward to this study.

  610. Melissa Harvey says:

I’m looking forward to learning how to put others first and focus less on myself!

  613. Lily Hitchens says:

I’m truly not sure where I am in my walk right now. I think unmotivated might be it. And sadly, I think I am “infecting” my family with the same bug by not being as loving and or as present as I used to be. When I think about it, I know I should be praying and reading my Bible. I know I should. But I think I just feel …asleep. looking forward to this OBS.

  614. aundrea delarosa says:

I am looking forward to this study, my first study with yall was I AM and I have learned so much and can not wait to build on my knowledge of Christ and living a Godly life!!

  615. Lisa Schorp says:

I’m looking forward to listening to God in the mist of the storms and really listening, learn to let God lead when I don’t understand the path that is being taken and I follow Him though the storm. Loving Him and other through all things and being there for them as they walk the roads that they have to take that are hard and I would not want to go down in life . Yet, trying to do all things for all people, being a good friend, and wife and nurse all at the same time. It can wear me out but I keep going each day and give my all to everyone and ask only for prayers . Ask I repeal and try to show Gods love daily.

  616. I am so excited to start this study. I tend to get so busy in my life that I forget to listen. I want that kind of relationship where I can stop my “busyness” and just listen with my whole heart. Thanks for offering this study!

  617. Sounds great!

  618. Doris Mikolajczyk says:

I live with my “hard of hearing, 87 year old” Mom. I need to listen and love “frequently and often” to her while I can. I am often too busy or only listening half- heartedly. Thank you.

  619. Chasidy Kenerly says:

And the greatest of these is Love. I want to simplfy my view of love by taking me out of the equation and putting others first. Hard thing to do, but I if Jesus said love was the greatest, it will be worth it.

  620. Lisa Buchanan says:

I want so desperately to learn to love my teenage son – just the way God intends for me to love him! I want that relationship that God intends for us to have! I want to stop the “busyness” and make more time for him!

  621. I’m looking forward to learning how to listen and not doubt or question what I am hearing from God. I hear Him sometimes and I know Him but there’s parts of me that feels like well maybe I don’t! I also want to be in a place of complete surrender which I think is a true act of love to our Father. I want to learn from Listen, Love, Repeat – how to do just that without feeling like I failed God so have to do it al over versus being able to repeat simply because God loves me and wants to be closer and the more you practice the easier it will likely get. I want to learn how to do this and look forward to what God has in store the next time “repeat” comes back around. Thank you for this opportunity, I’m excited for this bible study!

  622. I tend to ‘sort of’ listen, and then realize later that I don’t remember what we talked about. What I want to learn, simply put?…. learning to REALLY listen to the world and people around me so I can ‘hear’ what they are feeling, and learning how to use that to help them and to spread God’s love.

  623. Dawn sloboda says:

Looking forward to this study and learning to really listen and love others and becoming less self centered and more others focused!

  624. I am looking forward to this Bible study. I teach at a christian university, and I work as a medical social worker. I have many opportunities to listen to my students and patients, but sometimes I feel I do not slow down long enough to really listen. I want to truly listen to others and love them for who they are and the struggles they are going through.

  625. Angela Reeves says:

I’m looking forward to this study! Sometimes the darkest places and the people who are the hardest to love are in the most unlikely places. I work at a church and it seems that we often leave out love when dealing with each other and others. I pray that God through this study will help me to love unconditionally and with a pure heart.

  626. This sounds like exactly what I need at this point in my life!! Thank you!

  627. Jennifer says:

I look forward to gaining the tools to listen to God and everyone around me, especially my family.

  628. Laura Fowkes says:

I haven’t signed up for this study (not yet) I just was involved in the last two and I’m not sure if I am ready for another. However, after reading today’s email about Listening to others needs, Loving on their terms, and then I need to keep repeating to get it right! Maybe I do need this, maybe its God saying get up, open your Bible back up and start changing your view towards others.

  629. What the intro to this study said about loving people according to how they feel love I’d so important and I haven’t figured out how to do that with some people in my life yet. I’m looking forward to hearing about how to figure that out in the listening stage.

  630. I have been dealing with terrible health issues for the past 4 years and unfortunately I’ve focused too much on myself…so I think this would be a good Bible study to get involved in so that my focus can be re-directed to others.

  632. Vanessa Bergen says:

this is something I really need to learn to do better, listen. Really listen to what others are saying and to what they need. I get so caught up in what needs to be done that I miss out on hearing what those around me need. I would love to learn how to listen and love better!

  633. Holly Snyder says:

  642. Kelly Mullins says:

I am looking forward to starting this bible study. I have fallen away from God in the past several months or longer if I want to be honest with myself. I am hoping this study will change that and draw me close.

    Thank you so much!

  643. Madelyne Moore says:

I need this study. I want to Listen to others and Love on them, but then I get in the way. I don’t truly listen to what they are saying, I only hear what I want to hear. I definitely don’t love on everyone I come into contact because I have guarded feelings, or I’m bringing up feelings from previous experiences. I so need this study!

  644. I cant wait to learn more about this process i feel someday i just scrape by.

  648. Christina says:

I tend to not listen and not love the way I should. Unfortunately, I can operate in my self-centered world and not consider the needs of others the way I should; outside of my child. This study is very timely as I am surrounded by hurting love ones who need my support and true love.

  649. to learn how to listen and be fully present.
how to be fully present to those “overlooked” in life.

  650. I am looking forward to this Bible study–just to be in His Word with others online–learning to listen better, love as Jesus loves–to take that which I am learning and share it with others. To be that light in this dark world for others to see.

  651. Heather Johnson says:

I am so excited to grasp that ability to be the light someone sees when theyou eek me enter a room. To bring that kind of hope to others in a natural and loving way and engage in a way that pulls people to the good word.

  654. Sherry Eaton says:

This truly feels like what I need at this moment in my life. I have been struggling in so many ways. I believe this bible study can help me get past my struggles. I am going to ask my neighbor today if she will join me in doing this so we have accountability. Thank you for all you do Proverbs 31.

I’m so excited for this bible study so that I can increase my ability to slow down and truly listen to those around me in order for me to better share God’s love that flows from my heart.

  656. Joy Davis says:

I need to Listen – stop and really listen more so that I can pray more effectively. it isn’t always easy to stop and LISTEN – truly listen to someone is what is at the heart of love – how can we love on and pray for someone if we don’t listen. Guess it sounds like I need this study.

  657. Becky Markovich says:

Of course I always want to feel the healing hand of Jesus, but I just invited my daughter who lives in Australia and recently texted me and said–Pray for me mom, I am feeling lost. Do hope and pray she joins and discovers how to feel found 🙂

  660. Becky Crouse says:

Listening… to often I listen so that I formulate a response, but not to really listen to what the person is pouring out… or to hear that still small voice. I defintely am looking forward to working on that and loving others the way Christ loves us – COMPLETELY 🙂

  664. Tonya Losh says:

My heart breaks for everyone; Due to things that have happened in my life, I can relate and there is no substitute for experience. Things like driving past a funeral home makes me send up prayers for people I don’t even know, because I know someone in there is hurting the way I did when losing my parents. Overall, I’m glad I am the way I am but sometimes I feel its a curse because my heart allows me to get hurt & sometimes I feel that its the heart that Jesus wants me to have. I get hurt, especially with my 18 year old daughter. It seems easier to encourage, witness to strangers sometimes than our own family members! I pray someone else is bold enough to reach her when I cant. I am excited to learn other techniques to use to help all the people God places on my heart.

I chose to listen, not be afraid of “awkward silence” and respond in love. Thank you proverbs 31 for being an inspiration! Can’t wait to get started on my second OBS!!

  667. Maria Currie says:

Learning to be more conscious and sympathetic to others.

I’m hoping to find a way to Be bold about sharing God’s love and grace with the lonely people when I walk into a room or location

  669. Aimee Jackson says:

I am looking forward to better learning how to listen well. I am finding that I listen to respond, rather than listen just to listen. I need to listen for the Spirit to speak to me, rather than listen to my own voice’s reply. I have experienced some great hurt lately, and if I truly listen, I know God will reveal Himself to me, and show me how one day i can use it for His good, and love others well. Then repeat.

  670. Ashley Elwood says:

I’m excited to learn how to listen to husband better so I can respond better to him. He’s better with verbalizing his emotions than I am and I struggle with letting him know what’s going on inside my mind. Hopefully this study will help me with both of the things and benefit our marriage.

  671. Lynda Fowler says:

    I so need to learn to “listen”, “love” and “repeat” this kind of living that honors my Jesus. My mouth, my heart of stone, and my stubbornness get in the way of truly living a rich and godly life. So I know this bible study is for me and will bless my heart and life just as God would have it;

  672. There’s a theme that’s been building lately in my life it seems. God is showing me how to receive his love more. He’s also helping me see what’s been keeping me from living like he loves me. In this study I hope to learn how to love others without losing sight of this in the process. Since I’m a person who loves to help people I often don’t see that I’m attracting relationships with people that are very needy.

  673. Andrea Ward says:

Hoping to learn how to really listen and love others.

  684. I SO need this!

  685. Honestly, I’m hesitant to sign up! Lately as I watch and read the news, I have been angry about the hateful protests and all the hate that has been flowing against our President right from the beginning of his presidency. In my lifetime I’ve never seen anything like it. Hopefully this isn’t a study that will whitewash what’s been happening and make us feel guilty for being upset with the what has been going on.

  686. Tammy Clem says:

This is going to be a great study. Can’t wait.

  687. Tammy Dalton says:

I’m ready to be challenged to listen more effectively and to show love more often. I’m excited to start this study!

  688. As a new pastors wife, I’m thinking this study would greatly help me to minister to our flock. Sounds so good.

I am so excited about this new study and want so much to be what God wants me to me!

  690. Stephannie W. says:

When I saw this email today it made me think God are trying to tell me something? There are things that
have not been going so well in my personal life for quite some time and the title of this to Listen, Love and Repeat. Well it made me wonder if I am not doing that, listening to others but myself.

  691. I was part of the launch team and this book os wonderful. It is just what we all need.

  692. Vickie Lilley says:

Every day I pray to be the kind of woman God meant for me to be & to show his LOVE to everyone I meet. Wouldn’t the whole world be a better place if everyone in it strived to do the same.

  693. Looking forward to this study,

Where I would be able to open my heart even more than before. Listen , Love, Repeat is a daily reminder too me of Jesus love for us everyday!! This study will teach me to listen for the voice of God more Bigger, Love even more than I already do, Repeat by following Jesus daily. Listen, Love, Repeat will take me too a whole new level in my life than never before.

    Thank you,
    Whitney Hamilton

  694. Kayce Riggle says:

I did my first Bible Study of Finding I Am! It was incredible! I’m new to the whole “Jesus” world so I’m taking everything in and learning as much as I can about being a new person, one that listens, loves, and repeats! 😉

  695. Kathryn E Laurent says:

To love even the person who has hurt me the most.

  696. A good part of my job is listening. I work as a clinical instructor and I need to balance my time between speaking and listening and it can be very hard to do! So when I am around others, sometimes I do feel the need to be listened to, but still I find that since I am a quiet/shy person I generally start out by listening and I find I learn so much more this way. Just be quiet and listen. Oh that you would keep silent, and it would be your wisdom! Job 13:5. I am looking forward to this study. Would enjoy working through it with my sister, so receiving the books would be a wonderful blessing! Thank you!

  701. Nicole Coakley says:

Thank you so much for doing this Bible study. As I was reading the information about the why of this particular series I felt convicted in that I am guilty of being too busy to listen or pay attention. I am praying that this series will open my eyes to things I have been to busy to notice and hopefully make me a more effective child of God. I realize I was not save by His grace for myself but that I might serve others through Him and I don’t feel that I have been truly doing that. It is my hope that this will set me on a better path to that end.

  702. Kimberly Williamson says:

I need this study to be better at listening. I feel like I often overlook my family and don’t listen to them and love them the way they need to be heard and loved. I feel like I listen better to others at times and overlook my family…probably because I think I know them best, when really I need to be more in tune with them. I would love to win this book to keep my focused on my Bible study time and help me to Listen, Love, and repeat, day after day!

  703. I had heard of this book but not really what it covered. After reading this blog, I am humbled (& a little chastised) because I keep getting the message that I need to love others how they need to be loved, not just what is comfortable & convenient for me to show that I do love them. What timing, & what grace God gives in each new day to try again & in putting these subjects on authors’ minds to share for so many to learn & grow through the readings.

  704. Amy Dowty says:

Can’t wait to learn more about listening well.

  705. Wow! I am looking forward to learning how to listen better. I feel so hurried as a wife, mom and working fulltime. I struggle to find balance.

  706. I’m super excited to learn new techniques to enhance my awareness of being the creation He has made me to become. In turn be able to teach others around me how He loves us and uses each of us to help each other in sharing the “Good News” while enjoying the days of our lives.

  708. Michelle says:

I am looking forward just to the fellowship with others in the study.

  709. Jennifer says:

Timely. All too often I listen to retaliate when I should listen and respond in love. I should be totally listening to God by reading His Word and then Loving His people and then repeating. I can’t wait to do this study.

  710. Melissa S says:

I’m so excited to start this study with you all! My friend Kim & I want to do this together & we’ve invited some other friends too! This would be an awesome opportunity to bless them & encourage our friends to join us all in this study. God Bless!

  711. Carolyn Myers says:

Thank you for the bible study.looking forward to starting it.

  712. RACHEL ROGERS says:

The most perfect message for a busy Monday start. I know i get overwhelmed with all that there is to do and miss and opportunity from God to help someone else. This message reminds us to be accountable to God and the plan that he has for us. Thank you guys for the kick the butt to start this week right. Amen God bless you all and all of these beautiful and wonderful women He has created!

  713. Marie Franklin says:

I would love to do this study with a friend..

  714. SARAH HUNTER says:

I’m joining this study so I can reset my mind to walk into situations looking for ways to love others, instead of expecting them to love me!

  715. I just lost my husband of 25 years on Feb. 10th so I really need this in my life right now. I am hoping it will help me through my grieving process and to understand WHY God took my husband from me. He was only 58 and he was such a loving and kind man. We have 6 grandchildren that he thought the world of and would have done anything for them. We had so many plans and dreams to complete so this is just so hard trying to understand why and we just bought a new home. Thank you and God Bless!!!

  716. I’m constantly fighting the Mary/Martha mentality and am seeking to grow in this area.

  717. Katie Golden says:

I want to become a better listener and love unconditionally!

  718. Michelle says:

I know I need to spend some time focusing on my ability to truly listen to others and love them right where they are at….my children, husband, family, friends, and those people that come and go from my life. I feel like in todays fast paced world I need to learn to stop and listen.

  719. Melissa Lynch says:

I would love to become a better listener, to become the tool God uses to help people, instead of just looking for ways that I can respond and look good. I want to help people so that people can be better off, not so that I can get thanks.

  720. Putting my desires after the needs of others, all the time? That’s hard, and what I need to work on. Sounds like this study would help- a lot! Thanks.

  721. Jennifer Dykstra says:

In today’s busy world, I love learning more about ways to help me truly focus on my relationship with God and with others. I can’t wait for this book and study. Thanks!!

  722. deb stubbeman says:

I think it is so important to “listen” instead of thinking about our response. This sounds like a great study.

  723. I tend to be controlling in situations where I am uncertain of the outcome or too busy to deal with potential fallout. I am not the wisest person so this doesn’t very often end well. I am looking forward to listening to what others have to say, learning to let them decide and act, and loving them the where they are. I am so hoping to learn and remember that God is in control so I don’t have to be and trust him and respect others’ right to grow. A lot to expect but I am open to the journey and God is good!

  724. I want to learn how to really listen to God and to others.

  725. I am excited to learn take a moment to stop and listen. I am a “busy” mom and a “busy” wife with a “busy” life. Between running kids to practice, church events, and running our home, when I take that moment to reflect I get do do
