I Love Proverbs 31 Ministries!

One of the things I love best about my job at Proverbs 31 Ministries is getting to see first hand the work God does in transforming lives through this ministry. It’s absolutely crazy amazing. And it happens everyday. Check out this video~

I love that video so much because I can relate. I was once, and really still am, a woman who receives much from Proverbs 31 Ministries.

It was eighteen years ago when I first learned about Proverbs 31. My 2nd child had just been born and even though I had a wonderful family and friends, I was lonely. I felt very inadequate as a wife and mom. Proverbs 31 Ministries became my mentor in walking with me daily, guiding and teaching me what a personal relationship with Jesus looked like. I learned how to bring my faith to life for myself and in the lives of my family. I can’t believe I get to be a part of that today. Not only do I work at Proverbs 31 Ministries, but I’m also a monthly partner. I don’t have to give money to this ministry, I GET TO give money to this ministry. And by doing so, I’ve become a small part of bringing God’s peace, purpose, and perspective to the lives of women all across the world. Proverbs 31 Ministries changed my life. My family and I will forever be grateful to God and P31.

Maybe you too have been blessed by Proverbs 31 Ministries.  If so, would you consider joining us? Below are ways you can be a part of all God is doing through P31.

1. Prayer. This is the best thing anyone can do for our ministry. Would you pray for Proverbs 31 Ministries?

  • Pray right now.
  • Pray once a week. (Hey, that’s 52 times a year!)
  • Pray daily.

2. Giving. We are able to do what we do at Proverbs 31 because of the financial gifts God has provided through people like you.  No amount is too small or too big. One dollar helps! When I look at what this community did through Dove’s Nest during our Yes to God study (you all gave over $28,000!!!) all through the combination of small and large gifts, I am still blown away! Never underestimate what God can do through our gifts. Online Bible Studies are possible for FREE to all of us because there are people out there giving to financially support this ministry!

3. Volunteer.

  • Do you live in the Charlotte, NC area?  We need regular volunteers we can count on. Email nicki@proverbs31.org if you can help!

4. Encourage. Ministry can be difficult at times. Our office is always grateful when we hear from our P31 community.

  • Send a card to the P31 office. 630 Team Rd. Suite 100, Charlotte, NC  28105
  • Email a prayer to the P31 office. prayer@proverbs31.org
  • Let us know how P31 has impacted your life. Click here to tell us your story.

Thank you so much for being a part of this OBS community. I love y’all dearly!

Here in the United States we are celebrating Thanksgiving this week. One of the things I’m most thankful for is you. That’s the truth.

Thank you so much for your support! We need you and we truly love our community of women from all over the world. You are a big blessing to me personally and to our entire team and staff.

I Am So Much More Organized

When we first started this journey together, some of us admitted that just like the name of the book, we could say, “I Used to Be So Organized.”  And then there were those of us who felt a little different, “I Was Never Organized.”

Now as we close on this study, it’s so awesome to hear most of us saying, “I Am Going to Be So Organized” and “I Am So Much More Organized Than I Used to Be.”

This journey has been important to me personally. As someone who is very busy and has experienced quite a bit of anxiety in my past, reclaiming order in my life was very important. I needed it. The cluttered places in my mind spilled over into other parts of my life. This only increased my anxiety and stress. I am so happy to report that I’m much more relaxed. I have really focused on the calm and order. And planning. And my schedule. And writing down more things on my calendar. It’s made a huge difference! I’m looking forward to implementing some organizing in my papers and bedroom soon. I’ve already made big changes in my office.  Moving right along…all the while keeping it real.

I want to thank each one of you for joining me on this journey. I wouldn’t want to do this alone and I consider studying with each of you a huge blessing in my life. With each study, I come closer to God. And with each study, I love making new friends.

I also want to thank the awesome guests on our conference calls:  Heather Bleier, Angie Combs, Stephanie Clayton, Eileen Koff, and still to come Glynnis Whitwer.

And most especially, I want to thank Glynnis Whitwer, my beautiful friend and amazing author of I Used to Be So Organized. It was 7 months ago that we were enjoying ourselves on a cruise deck in the Gulf of Mexico and she shared the message of I Used to Be So Organized with me. I knew then that I just had to read this book. I needed it. The more she told me about it, I knew also that I had to share this message with others. Thank you Glynnis for writing this book. It has made such a difference in so many lives. I love you friend.

I’m not sure what your plans are for the future, but I want to invite you to join me for my next online study of Lysa TerKeurst’s book, Unglued. I only select book that I believe in. They have to have a foundation of Scripture and a message that we can apply and is useful. This one is one of the best. It’s raw. It’s emotional. It’s real. It’s applicable. It deals with handling relationships and emotions. If you are interested in signing up, you can in the right column of my blog.

And just because the study is over, it doesn’t mean the fun will end. Please keep coming back to my blog! (You can sign up to receive my blog updates to your email and that might help. Just enter your email address in the blank provided in the right column.)

Unglued bundle winner announced tomorrow. You can still enter to win here.

Video blog coming Monday~ providing study info, Facebook party info, Unglued webcast announcement, and more big give away announcements. Plus a few bloopers I’m sure 🙂

Hip hip hooray for another great Online Bible Study!  Thanks so much for being a part of it!

Our Final Glynnis Day

Here we are at the end of our study…but it’s not the end of being organized!  I don’t know about you, but my journey is just beginning.  I’m so excited to implement the organized tips we’ve obtained in this study. And I’m already benefiting from the elimination of mind clutter.

Haven’t you just loved this study?  It’s close to over, but it’s not over yet.  Our final chapter was “Keeping it Real.”  And today, I want you to visit author, Glynnis Whitwer.  She has a closing message for you. Please tell her how much you’ve loved this study for the summer.

Tomorrow, come back here.  I have a closing message for you too.

****Organized Conference Call peeps…stay tuned, we have one more conference call to go and we’ve saved the best for last.

Hugs!

It’s a Sweet Stephanie Day!

I read recently that “Wise leaders do not try to do it all themselves. Every time you hand off some task or assignment, you’re making an investment in someone else, as well as in yourself.”

Here in these Online Bible Studies, that’s exactly what we try to do.  Lysa TerKeurst, president of Proverbs 31 Ministries, leads this way, and it works very well. Most of the opportunities I’ve had in ministry have come as a result of serving on a ministry team where we are encouraged to use our gifts and share the load. We are so blessed in these online studies to have a team who loves Jesus so much and wants nothing more than to serve Him by serving you.

Stephanie Clayton became my ministry partner a little over a year ago when I asked her to join me in leading Online Bible Studies. It was a win/win situation. She had the new opportunity to use her gifts and talents and we have the privilege of learning from her and getting to know her.

I spend a lot of time on the phone with Stephanie, praying and planning for these studies. We have become close friends and I trust her completely. I know you have come to love her too!

It’s a Sweet Stephanie Day and she has a message for you.  She’s also giving away a copy of our next book in online studies book, Unglued.   Let’s visit her today and while there, make sure to let her know how much she is loved and appreciated in our big group!

It’s a Sweet Heather Day!

These Online Bible Studies have a team of sisters who all work hard to make it all come together.  It’s such a blessing working with so many talented ladies who willingly share their gifts to contribute to making Online Bible Studies so great.  The studies have my name, but that’s just because I started them. That’s where the “I” ends, and I’m so thankful for that.

Did you know that each week, Heather Bleier prays about and selects our Memory Verse?  She also is our social media queen making sure that we have a strong presence on Facebook and Twitter. And if that’s not enough, she has a message for you today and she’s giving away a copy of our next Online Bible Study, Unglued.

Let’s go visit Heather now 🙂  While you are there, make sure you leave her a comment and let her know how much we appreciate and love all she’s done for us this study!

Have a Sweet Happy Heather Day!
