Hey, it’s Jen back to wrap up Week 4 with you today. How’d your week go? I hope y’all enjoyed it as much as I have. Have you noticed you’re taking more time to see and hear the unloved and lonely in your life?
Although loving the lonely souls, prickly porcupines and stinky skunks can feel like hard work, Karen Ehman reminds us in this week’s chapters our own lives will feel blessed when we find ourselves reaching out to others — especially those whom we feel may not deserve our love.
That’s why I love our verse this week:
“But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back.”~Luke 6:35a (NIV)
This verse reminds us that, when we love others, we need to do so out of obedience and without expecting anything in return.
In today’s video teaching, Karen gives us great advice and shares numerous stories about doing just that … reaching out to the least deserving. She shows us how patience and perseverance can lead us to fulfilled lives of loving others. Um, yes please! And if you’d like closed captioning as you watch, click here for instructions.

Wow, isn’t it awesome that God puts “on-purpose people” in our paths every day! So, even though it takes time, and it isn’t easy, we can learn to love the least deserving. We can learn to live so that people see God’s love in us by listening, loving, and repeating!
Do you have a “Rudy with the cooties” story, like Karen shared in today’s video? Are you more likely to bring your “presence” or “a present” to someone in need?
Can’t wait to meet you in the comment section below!
