Stopping Sin in it's Tracks

We all struggle with sin.

We don’t like to acknowledge it. We’d rather hide it. But eventually we must confront our sins, or we’ll become consumed by them.

Sin feeds a dangerous cycle of misplaced desire, defiance, disobedience anddestruction in our lives. We desire something that goes against God’s instruction. Webecome defiant in our hearts against God’s best.

In disobedience, we sin. And then weusher in the destruction that always accompanies sin. When we give in to sin, we sign up for eventual suffering.

So how do we stop sin dead in its tracks? We humbly surrender our hearts daily to God and we pray, “God I place my desires before You and ask that You show me if any of these could lead to sin. I only want Your best for my life.”
