Christians Acting Ugly

I saw an online discussion recently that shocked me.

Their comments were judgmental, harsh and condemning. And the saddest part? These were Christians attacking another Christian.

It seemed as if they felt compelled to rip the pastor they were discussing to shreds in order to prove their view. They felt it was their job to “protect God.”

But you know, God doesn’t call man to protect Him. He calls us to loveHim and love others.

Yes, there isa place to make sure others aren’t misaligning Truth. But we must first make sure we aren’t misaligning the Truth in our approach.

Proverbs 18:21 reminds us our words can be poison or fruit, our choice.

May we carefully choose a response full of humility. And a little bit of grace wouldn’t hurt either!
