Run Devil Run

My boys and I love to do our own version of carpool karaoke on the way to school each morning.

We take turns picking out a song to jam to as we drive. One of our favorites is “Run Devil Run” by Crowder.

The song is an anthem that casts the devil out of our lives. His influence swings from annoyance to calamity, but the truth is he really doesn’t have any authority to mess with us. Because of the power of Jesus living in us, we can cast that devil and all of his minions back to hell.

But too often I just forget to use the promise given to us in Christ. I endure trouble rather than experience freedom. We love shouting “Run Devil Run” at the top of our lungs. It’s a powerful declaration that we won’t be victims, because in Jesus, we are victors. And that’s a pretty powerful way to start the day.
