Seeing God

Every day holds the opportunity to see God.

I remember standing at the top of a mountain feeling overwhelmed by God’s creation. As I took in the scene I imagined Him asking, “Who will notice Me today? Who will stop and see Me?”

Matthew 5:8 says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”

It doesn’t say, “Blessed is the perfect person,” or “Blessed is the one with perfect Biblical knowledge.”

It says blessed is the one whose heart is pure. In other words, that person who looks for and acknowledges God in everything.

So whether our scenery today consists of beautiful mountains or mountains of laundry - let’s look for Him. When we make the choice to see Him, we will.
