Well hello again!
I'm excited to be back with you for the week! It's official. We're halfway through Breathe! I'm so proud of you for sticking with us.
Last week we learned that making room for Sabbath depends on our ability and strength to say "no," both to ourselves AND others. What a huge start in the right direction! But even with learning to say "no," how do we stop and rest for a WHOLE day and still get everything done we need to say "yes" to?
Well guess what, friends? BE EXCITED, because this week's Big Idea holds the answer:
"Obey — God will take care of the rest."
Obey? Is it really that simple? It is when we have our miracle-able God to "take care of the rest"! But don't take my word for it. Check out our Verse of the Week for a beautiful example of how God responds when we're willing to obey and go about His business:
"The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller." Proverbs 11:24 (MSG)
"Larger and larger" ... God can and will miraculously multiply our efforts when we obey His ways. And this week, Priscilla Shirer is going to teach us how this holds true for Sabbath too. She's going to open our eyes to how "Sabbath is a breeding ground for miracles." Let's dive in!
This Week's Homework:
We're working through pages 64-85 in our books. And don't forget, if you like having a daily study plan to follow, the Week at a Glance is here to help you! If you wish to purchase the Breathe teaching videos, you can do so here.)
How do this week's Big Idea and Verse of the Week encourage you to obey and go about God's business of Sabbath rest?
Looking forward to another eye-opening week with you!
