As my girls became independent, my family needed something to keep us connected during the day, so we began using location sharing on our devices. This gives us a view of each other’s real-time whereabouts. It allows us to check in with each other throughout the day and helps us feel together even when we’re apart. But even knowing where the girls are, I often find myself consumed with worry.
On page 40 of Dangerous Prayers, Craig Groeschel says:
“God showed me that what I feared the most revealed where I trusted God the least.”
This shows me I need to trust God with my family. That is hard. As their lives and the world around us change, I worry about so much more than their location. I am thankful God teaches us to build our foundation on Him and nothing else.
In our Bible Study Companion (BSC) this week, we get to hear from leader Trish Cordell! If you haven’t already, download your copy and dig in to Lesson 2 (pages 14-22) to learn how God used a tough time in her life to teach that He is truly able to handle our fears. She takes us step-by-step through Scripture that shows us just how precious we are to God.
BIBLE STUDY COMPANION
Friends, unlike us, our heavenly Father doesn't need technology to keep up with His children! He knew us before we were born. He knows what we need BEFORE we ask. That’s what we’ll be focusing on in today’s BSC.
Let’s dig in,
What’s God showing you about your fears? In what area of your life do you need to trust God?
P.S. Each BSC is designed as a standalone lesson, so no worries if you didn’t complete Lesson 1 last week. You can still do Lesson 2 this week and come back to Lesson 1 if/when you choose.
