A Full Life Is Possible

Round 6 Verse

Wow! Can you believe we are beginning Round 6 of our study, Fighting Words by Ellie Holcomb? We are at the halfway point, and you are doing amazing!

If you are joining us for the first time, welcome! Some OBSers who were with us for the first half of the study have left some encouraging words and tips for you as you begin the study! Click here to read them

One thing we’ve learned is that memorizing Scripture is a great way to fend off the enemy when he tries to steal our joy in Jesus. Speaking of the enemy, this round’s memory verse is a perfect reminder that while he has a plan in our lives, so does Jesus! Check it out:

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10, NIV)

I’ve referred to this verse many times throughout my life, but today one word really stuck out to me — the word full. The enemy tries to take life, but Jesus gives life! And it’s not a little sliver of life; it’s a FULL life. A life full of His love and forgiveness! That, my friend, is something to celebrate and a truth worth remembering!

As we’ve shared before, one way to memorize Scripture is by writing out a verse. I love to write out verses on Post-It notes and place them around the house. In today’s video, though, Gena has a different approach, and I can’t wait to try it out. Take a look!

Ready to get started on this round? I am! Let’s read Days 51-53, and we will connect again on Day 54 (Saturday, July 23).

See you on Saturday!
