Here we go, friend! It’s Round 9 of our Fighting Words study! I’m going to be a little sad when it ends. The support, words of encouragement and prayers we’ve given to one another bring so much joy to my heart! 

This round’s memory verse is one of my favorites! Over four years ago, I felt the Lord prompting me to step out in faith and journey in a new direction. The overwhelming fear of failure and rejection was great, but our God is greater. It was during a walk this verse came to mind:

 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV)

Friend, I don’t know what fear you are facing today, but know this: God gives us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. As quickly as fear tries to overtake us, let’s turn it over to Jesus! As Ellie writes in our Day 81 devotion, “We remember that whatever we are scared of, no matter how intense it may be, is not stronger than Him.” Praise God!
