Hi! If you haven't met me yet, I'm Katrina Wylie. I get to join you in this week's Bible Study Companion lesson.
When I received and flipped through my Flooded book, it was this week's topic, "Decision Two: To Listen to God," that grabbed my attention most. I couldn't wait to dig in! Learning to hear and listen to God is an exhilarating journey. It's also a challenging one. Amen?
Throughout my walk with God, I've found myself flooded with doubts like:
- Was that really God I heard?
- Did I hear Him correctly?
- Does God even really desire to speak to ME?
And that's just the doubt, never mind the endless bombardment of distractions that add to the difficulty of hearing God speak!
If doubt and distraction are disrupting your ability to listen to God, I invite you to do Lesson 2 of the BSC with me. When you're ready, turn to page 16 to dive deeper into: the differences between hearing and listening, the obstacles to hearing and listening to God, the ways God speaks, and the practical steps we can put into practice to help us listen!
