Hey, y’all!
I’m Stacy Lowe, and while I could talk to you for hours about why I love P31 OBS, it can all be summed up in two words:
Life change.
I’ve seen it over and over again and experienced it myself. And while each part of P31 OBS is meaningful, the most powerful component is the foundation it all rests upon: the Word of God.
This is why I’m excited to tell you about our Bible Study Companion, or BSC as we like to call it.
The goal of the BSC is to take you deeper into Scripture and explore together what God has to say about the topics we’re studying in Forgiving What You Can’t Forget. You’ll also have the chance to reflect upon what you’re learning and how it applies to your own life. Each Wednesday of the study, beginning January 20, we'll lead you into that week's BSC lesson, although you are welcome to complete them whenever you would like.
Now that you know what the BSC is and how it can set you up for a successful study, how about a little sneak peek?
BIBLE STUDY COMPANION
Week 1: This lesson will get you started with a number of Bible verses about God’s command to forgive. It will also help you establish a baseline for your own thoughts and ideas regarding forgiveness and what may be holding you back from doing so.
Week 2: Did you know forgiveness isn’t just for others? You need to offer it to yourself, too. This lesson will help get to the root of why we struggle to forgive ourselves, what we can do about it, and how we move forward from here.
Week 3: We’re not meant to do life alone! Instead, we were created to be in community with others. In this lesson, we’ll learn why community is so important, how we can create it, and how we can use it to show God’s love to the world around us.
Week 4: Forgiving the small stuff may come easy, but what about the really tough things in life? What if we refuse to forgive? Does it only affect the other person, or are we, too, affected? This lesson will examine those issues and help you take that first difficult step of forgiveness.
Week 5: When life doesn’t go as planned, we may become angry with God, but is that fair? This lesson will take a look at some of the lies we may hear whispered in our ears during times of struggle and the actual Truth of each as revealed in God’s Word.
Week 6: Forgiveness doesn’t just happen; it requires action on our part. What if we don’t put the work in, though? In this lesson, we’ll compare the byproducts of holding on to bitterness and choosing to let it go.
I can’t wait to dig in with you all!
Stacy
Heart to Heart:
Which of these lessons are you most looking forward to, and why?
