Can you believe it’s already Week 3? I’m so glad you’re here because this week we get to learn about some of my favorite simple practices, so let’s get started!
Here’s a brief taste of what Chapters 6, 7 and 8 teach:
1. ALLOWING FOR TRANSITIONS
- Do you ever get to the end of your day and wonder what happened? You feel like you ran a marathon between all your appointments, tasks or picking up the kids. But what can you do about it? Chapter 6 teaches how to move from one thing to the next with an unrushed feeling.
2. GET OUTSIDE
- It’s easy to get tunnel vision and focus on the to-do lists, screens and demands of the day. Sometimes we need a breath of fresh air … literally! In Chapter 7, John encourages us to release our tension in the great outdoors and helps us realize why it's so vital!
3. REMEMBERING WHO YOU LOVE
- How can we focus on the benefits of knowing God if we haven’t first spent time loving Him? Chapter 8 invites us to find out how God wants us to turn toward Him.I’m so excited to dive into these simple practices. Let’s find out what John has to say to us in this video!
Doesn’t that video make you want to just take a deep breath? I caught myself doing it a few times as I watched. This week leads us into the special, life-giving space each of our souls so desperately needs. The invitation is there, my friend. Let’s go!
Bible Study LIVE at the Table is on Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET on either Facebook or YouTube! Let us know in the comments section what questions you might have in relation to these chapters. Make sure to tune in on Thursday evening to see if your question gets answered AND get answers to some fantastic questions from other OBSers! See you there!
