You know those times when you sit down to pray? It’s quiet and you are ready to talk to God. But then #life. The kids wake up, breakfast needs to be cooked, lunches need to be packed, and you don’t even remember what you prayed about.
Or have you ever asked yourself, “What’s the point in memorizing Scripture when I can just google some key words and have it pop up on my phone?”
Trust me when I say I get it. In fact, the whole Online Bible Studies team gets it.
That’s exactly why we’ve created an optional teaching series to compliment our Hidden Joy in a Dark Corner study, titled “Spiritual Disciplines 101.”
“Spiritual disciplines” is a fancy term for creating habits that make us more like Jesus. They’re things we do to help us grow in our faith. This teaching series takes us deeper into what we’re learning in Hidden Joy. It’s an extra that will enhance (not replace) your study. We will open our Bibles and learn from a few key people who trained themselves to stay in God’s presence and know Him even more. With their help, we’ll tackle the following disciplines:
- Studying and memorizing Scripture
We know there’s power in the Word. We also know there are habits we can learn together to make our relationship with God richer, deeper and more intimate.
Will you join us? I do hope you say yes! You can learn more below.
Looking forward to learning alongside you!
