Smiling Is My Favorite

October 8, 2019

Can you believe we’re beginning Week 4 of our Love Life Again study? I’m excited to be back with you all this week.

We have another fabulous video for you today! I found myself smiling A LOT through this one. Let’s see what Kendra, Tracie and Anna have to say about smiling. It's someone's favorite. Take a look...

We’ve all heard the saying “misery loves company.” But I have to say, I don’t love misery and I don’t love sitting in misery’s company. Can you relate?

Friend, we have a choice when misery wants to be front and center in our lives. Our verse this week reminds us that:

“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” Proverbs 17:22 NIV

And, author Tracie Miles reminds us:

“Always be full of joy in the Lord, and give yourself permission to laugh every day.”

Speaking of choosing joy, Sarah Travis takes us through the Apostle Paul’s journey with a character study in this week’s Bible Study Companion. If there was ever a man who could’ve chosen to sit in misery’s company, it was Paul. But instead, he allowed the joy of the Lord to be his strength. (Nehemiah 8:10 NIV)

Go ahead and download today’s lesson below and dig in!

As we go through our week, let’s choose joy! Let’s bring the smiles and laugh until our bellies hurt!

P.S. Remember to check out the Week 4 section of your Week at a Glance to plan out the What, When, and Where for your study this week!
