Where's Your Joy Found?

October 8, 2019
Proverbs 27:9 (MSG) | "A sweet friendship refreshes the soul." | Proverbs 31 Online Bible Studies | Week 3 Verse | #LoveLifeAgain #P31OBS

Happy Week 3!

Anna Currin here to lead us through this week. I can’t believe we’re almost halfway through our Love Life Again study!

Let’s get started with our video, where we’ll get to hear from Kendra Schwarz and Tracie Miles! This week we’re covering the topic of conquering loneliness and Kendra shares some real and relatable emotions that were stirred up in her. It’s a message you don’t want to miss!

Have you ever felt discouraged when it seems like there’s no way to change your situation? I can recall several times in my own life where I’ve found myself stuck in the state of loneliness. But I love how Tracie doesn’t leave us there and how she encourages us by explaining we all have the choice to overcome these feelings. Like she said:

“We can find joy in our aloneness, and find joy in Christ, while seeking to find joy in new relationships with others.”

Yes! Or as our verse this week puts it:

“A sweet friendship refreshes the soul.” Proverbs 27:9 (MSG)

Speaking of refreshing our soul, another thing that helps is spending time with God in His Word. And we have Sarah Travis to help us do so in our Bible Study Companion! She’ll be leading us through a passage in Romans 12, helping us adjust our focus off ourselves and instead direct it onto God.
