Hi, friends! Welcome to Week 1 of Pointing to the Promise. I’m Missy Eversole, and I’m one of your study leaders. As we begin this time of Advent, I invite you to slow down with me as we focus on the real reason for the season: Jesus.
What To Do This Week:
Complete Week 1, Days 1-5, in Pointing to the Promise.
Watch the Monday video, and then join us in a Moment of Reflection (see below).
Read the wrap-up email on Friday!

Moment of Reflection:
In this week’s video, Kayla Ferris encourages us to write the word “proof” on a sticky note and place it in our Bibles. This will remind us that the Bible is proof that God keeps His promises. What promise from God are you holding on to today?
*Feel free to come back and share below any thoughts or insights you have throughout the week!
Freebie of the Week:
Each week we’ll provide a fun freebie! It may be a recipe, a playlist or a downloadable graphic. This week’s freebie is a lock screen for your phone. As the busyness of the season begins, take a moment to remember the Word became flesh. Our Savior, Jesus, is the fulfillment of God’s promise.
Prayer To Get You Through This Week:
Heavenly Father, as the holiday season approaches, I pray that we don’t get caught up in all the busyness. Help us to press the pause button so we can focus on the ultimate gift You gave us — Jesus! Your promises hold true, and we know that the proof is Your Word. Thank You, Lord, for Your unending love! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Blessings to you today!
Missy
P.S. Giveaway time! Comment on today’s newsletter for a chance to win a copy of our study book, Pointing to the Promise. Five winners will be randomly selected and notified via replies to their comments.
Sneak Peek!
In this study, we're learning all about the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. But did you know the Old Testament is also packed full of hints of His birth and arrival? We'll be learning about just that in our first study of 2022, Seeing Jesus in the Old Testament. We'd love for you to join us! Click here to sign up!
