Hello again!
Yesterday we kicked off Week 1 of our Online Bible Study. As we dig into the first chapter of Rest for Your Soul, Wendy encourages us that renewing our minds with scripture is the first step toward feeling calm even amid chaos.
Can I be honest with you?
I memorized scripture as a young person, but as an adult, I want to be more intentional about practicing this “holy habit.” My tired mind often feels like a browser screen with 23 tabs open! If you can relate, let’s practice this habit and see how it changes our thinking.
If you haven’t yet, write out the full verse of Isaiah 26:3. Grab your favorite pens and stationary, or simply scribble it on a sticky note.
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”(Isaiah 26:3, NIV)
Today let’s whisper the first line to ourselves each time we get a chance: Lord, You will keep in perfect peace ...
Tomorrow we can add the second line: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast ...
”And by Friday, we will have the whole verse ready to take into the weekend!
Let’s Chat!
In what area of your life do you desire perfect peace? Drop a prayer below that the God of peace will stay your mind on Him in that area.
