How are you doing this week with quieting your heart? If you’re struggling, you are not alone! Somedays, it’s easy for me; other days, it’s hard to tune out my thoughts. Thankfully, God’s Word always calms both my heart and mind.
This week’s memory verse is:
“In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.”(Psalm 4:8, ESV)
My favorite way to memorize scripture is writing the verse on a notecard or Post-it note and placing it in areas around my house where I know I’ll see it often: above the kitchen sink, on the bathroom mirror, in the laundry room, and on the table by my prayer chair. This allows me to focus on my scripture while doing routine tasks around the house.
You can also incorporate Psalm 4:8 into your prayers. For example:
Heavenly Father, my anxious heart yearns for peace today. I know I am not alone and You are with me. Please calm my heart as I go about my day, and remind me that in You, I am safe. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!
I’m praying for you today, friend!
