Hello, friend,
I am glad you are here! Let's jump into Chapter 3 of Rest for Your Soul: “Lord, Teach Me Your Word.” I can’t think of a simpler or more powerful request we could make before our good Father who loves us!
The last two weeks have flown by as we’ve discovered how the Lord renews our hearts and minds. Even if you’ve not made it through Chapters 1 and 2 yet, I encourage you to jump ahead and stay the course with us on Chapter 3. You can go back and catch up later. I don’t want you to miss the blessings waiting for us as we seek God in His Word!
Our memory verse for this week is Romans 15:4:
“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us,so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope” (NIV, emphasis added).
All of God’s Word is recorded and preserved for me and for you! Even when God feels far away and the only thing we feel is struggle, His Word is near and brings hope.
This week, we will learn that God’s Word is …
- Constant.
- Personal.
- Living and active.
Amid the uncertainties of life, God’s love is unchanging. His Word breathes life into our souls and brings peace. Let’s commit to carving out a little time each day to dive deeper into all He has for us. Are you with me?
