To Love Like THAT

July 25, 2018

"Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do..." Luke 23:34 (ESV)

Every time I read these words by Jesus, a sense of awe falls over my soul for our Lord and Savior...

And my heart calls back: Lord, help me to love like that!

Hi, friend! Is there something leaving you in awe as we've been studying the life of Christ this week? Weren't the last two days on the Gospels So. Very. Good? I already have a deeper understanding and whole new appreciation for the New Testament and we're not even done yet!

Today we get to check back in with Melissa, Kendra and Angie, who are bringing us to the cross for this week's "Finding God In Your Situation" segment. Let's join 'em now...

Is it hard for you to grasp the love Jesus pours out on even the "worst of the worst"? Is it easier for you to accept Christ's forgiveness for others than it is to accept for yourself? Are you missing that beautiful part of your relationship with Him because you're refusing or struggling to believe He's fully forgiven you?

Phew! We've got some things to sit with, don't we? But I think, though tough, these are all such good questions to take the time to settle with Him. And working through the rest of our week can only help us with that. But before we do...

Reflect and Respond:

What from this week is leaving you in awe of our Messiah?
