Hi friend!

Welcome to Why Her?, Week 5. This week, we're talking all about Truth 5: "Her Gain Is Not Your Loss."

I love this truth. But sometimes it's hard to fight off the lies that leave us feeling less than, as we ask ourselves, "Why her? Why not me?" But our Verse of the Week reminds us that we're in this together.

"Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep." Romans 12:15 (HCSB)

As we hear from Nicki, Melissa and Kendra in this week's P31 OBS video, we find that we're not alone in those moments of feeling like we don't quite measure up. Sometimes all it takes is a little mindset shift, directing our focus to the overall goal of working as a team to advance the kingdom of God!

Let's watch.

Yes! What a difference it would make if, instead of getting stuck in a place of feeling like we are falling behind, we focused on cheering each other on! As Nicki says:

"Her gain is not our loss. When she wins, I win, because God wins."

When we make this mindset shift, we're able to celebrate and encourage one another, letting go of the thoughts that leave us threatened by others' success.

As we head into this week, let's strive to be a source of encouragement for someone else. But before we do, let's make sure to check out the Week at a Glance resource below, so we know all that's happening in our #WhyHer P31 OBS this week.

Have a great day, friend!

What's one way you plan on encouraging someone in your life this week? I plan on putting a note of encouragement in the mail for a friend. She makes a big impact in the lives of young girls by spending her time serving and pouring into their lives.
