Welcome to Day 12! Today’s reading centers around one of my favorite verses:

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland” (Isaiah 43:19, NIV).

Ever had a wilderness or wasteland experience? You know, those times when life is hard and God feels so far away? Those are the worst. It can even feel like we may have been forgotten by Him altogether. But we have never — not ONCE — left His mind. Even in the midst of the worst season, He still chooses to show up and do what only He can do. Praise God!

If you haven’t already, be sure to read through this morning’s devotional (and later, this evening’s), and look for reasons throughout your day to celebrate and find joy, no matter the season you may currently be in. (Lysa gives us some great tips on how to do this on Page 47.)

God is still there, my friend. And that’s something you and I can count on always.
