Some days are loud, and I find myself craving the quiet. But other times? The silence is hard and lonely. It feels all-consuming and is the last place I want to be. Perhaps you can relate?
The truth is, sometimes the quiet hurts. But maybe, JUST maybe, quiet is what we need the most on those days and in those seasons we want it the least. For me, I know praying (as Philippians 4:6-7 says) and sitting quietly with the Lord, I can find some peace from my anxious thoughts. Let's hear more from Lysa on this very topic.
