Letting Go

Over the past couple of years, several really precious relationships in my life have changed or ended.

It has been so, so hard. I haven’t handled it perfectly, and if I’m honest, I’m still feeling all the feelings. Some days I struggle with the sting of loss and isolation. But other days, healthier, holier days, I’m reminded that things are always changing.

I can get bitter or I can choose to thank God for what those friends and memories gave me. I can celebrate what was and look in hope for what can be again. It won’t look the same, but this new season will produce fresh, beautiful friendships.

Yes, today, I’m choosing to look back in gratitude and forward in hope.
