God, it’s so difficult to let go of my plans and trust that You have my best interest in mind. When I’m waiting for a job, praying for a spouse, wondering if I should move, or believing for a calling to be fulfilled, it’s hard not to question You. Some days are anxiety-filled, but I can lean on the Truth of Your Word and stand in faith because You will be faithful! Help me remember Your timing is perfect and You have never been late (Habakkuk 2:3). You have planned good works for my life (Ephesians 2:10). And the best way for me to uncover Your plan is to be in Your Word (Psalm 119:105). Today, remind me of who You are and what You’re doing, even when I am struggling to trust You with what’s next. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
“… I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The LORD.’” Exodus 33:19a (ESV)
“But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded.” Genesis 8:1 (NIV)
“The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him …” Nahum 1:7 (NIV)
“The one who guards his mouth and tongue keeps himself out of trouble.” Proverbs 21:23 (CSB)
“I have come as light into the world, so that everyone who believes in me would not remain in darkness.” John 12:46 (CSB)
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
Lord, thank You that Your Word never returns empty. It always fulfills Your purpose (Isaiah 55:11). When frustration and hurt cloud my heart, help me replace spiralling thoughts with Your Truth. Teach me to speak life over my relationships and to love others with grace, even when it’s hard. Let Your Word reshape my heart and bring healing to my hurt places. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
